Ed, should we qualify for the champions league, will our budget be significantly affected?

Ed don't we get the champions eague money after we qualify?

Ed any chance of a poll?
Next two weeks are vital for 4th spot.
Can City beat Arsenal, can we beat Fulham and then beat Arsenal?
Win our game in hand and who knows?
Arsenal have got an easier run in so how many points will we need?

To Win 4th Spot We Will Need

71-74pts
75-79pts
80-81pts

I've just done a league predicted for the remaining games Mushy and 4th was 74 points. Unfortunately it was Arsenal who had 74 and we came 5th with 71 :(

We are building some momentum and starting to find some form for the run in at the right time. It's going to be nail biting. For me though, this has been a brilliant season for us, a season where the team has done us proud.

Ok, I hold my hands up - I've not been able to resist having a look at the Man Utd site! Unbelievable! I can understand them having the hump with Moyes, (pause for "Muttley" style laugh), but now, weeks after giving him a ridiculous pay rise, some of them are saying they'd play better without, & should get rid of, Rooney. I never watch them but the guys in the pub tell me he's been their best, sorry, only decent, player this season. Long may their troubles continue.

I had a look too Tezza, some of them are also slating Mata too mate, got to admit bud I am enjoying their demise.

I remember one of them coming on here a while back repeatedly belittling us, he or her was stating that they will finish well above us and that we would be lucky to get 8th, ha ha, lucky if they finish 8th lmfao

If you are reading this manc please come back and give us your views again.

Well guys, it's all looking good at the mo, let's just hope we can nick 4th place, even if we don't I think this season has been a definite step forward for Everton fc!
Q: which striker should we go for in the summer - Bony or Lukaku?
If it was my choice, my preference would be a lukaku as he is only 20, has a great future ahead of him, has already integrated into the team well, has developed a good understanding with Barkley just behind him & will in time score 20+ goals a season. which we havn't had for about 20+ years now! How much will he cost? Figure being mentioned is 22-23 million, would Mourinhio sell to a premier league rival? (Which we now are)? Time will tell I guess. I'd also like to see us go for Adam Lallana as he is pure class & would give us that cutting edge in the final third. & he's an Everton fan I've been told.

Remy and Lallana would be ideal for us skill, pace and goals

Lallana is a top player I can imagine a devastingly good attacking trio of lallana Barkley Mirallas/ mcgeady, would tear up especially if we could get lukaku up top next year. Getting excited already

Your right, Lallana is a boyhood Evertonian and what a signing he would be but I suspect he would cost a fortune. Remy is another who would be high on my list if we can't secure Lukaku for another year. Get the knives out but I also think Demba Ba would do a good job for a season if the other two are not achievable. Another player I think would improve us is Fabian Delph. Been really impressed with him this year in one of the worst Villa teams I have ever seen. He is that style of midfielder who could shine in our system, high energy, good technique and can get a goal. When I think Tom Cleverley gets a free pass in the England squad yet this guy doesn't get a look in. Mo Diame is another who would improve the squad in there too.

Cleverley is a much better player than Delph.

I have watched the progression of Clevs through the years and have been so impressed with what I have seen.

I think Clevs would prosper playing in any midfield in the world. Barca should get him as Xavis' replacement, or maybe Real Madrid to replace Xabi Alonso. People would then change their tune about him.

He will go to Brazil in the summer and it wouldn't surprise me if he wins player of the tournament. He needs to play well for England to stand a chance.

He then needs to get out of Manchester United as Moyes is ruining Clevs career. He deserves better than this sinking ship.

I think we should get him. A bid of £24 million should do it. If we don't get him and he ends up going to Bayern Munich, I will be seriously annoyed.

All this time I've been thinking Cleverley is crap but your so right Mike. We really miss that Moyes type midfield player, the Phil Neville role. What we currently lack is that player who can slow it all right down, pass it backwards, maybe even sideways. Fast, free flowing, attacking football is overrated. We play way too much of it. We should break the bank to get this lad before Bayern do because our style under Roberto is looking way too positive at the moment.

Cleverley is awesome Mike, you are so right bud, do you think a bid of 24 million would get hinm though?

I can't wait to see him rip up the world cup, his valuation would go through the roof then, maybe as much as Bale mate

Delph scores a flick back heal against Chelsea and everyones raving, ha he's actually a poor mans Osman, as for cleverly who gets a game for England because he plays for united he should go back on loan to the championship because that's his level he could take smalling with him

Take that back mikedeblue.

Clevs plays for England because he is amazing. He is the controller in the team. The English Xavi. Future captain.

And if he is so bad, why did Zinedine Zidane say he is the best player he has ever seen then?

What a night, great performance and well done Swansea who were totally robbed by the ref who was told to play 5mins extra time but blew up 30 seconds early just as Swans had created a great goal chance.
As usual we score a wonder goal and not a mention in media apart from RM interview.
Surely now that win will set the spark for a fab ending to the season, 82 points blues and no one can stop us!
Will then Del boy/Luka really want to go back to their clubs and we will attract the likes of Boney etc?
Finally a note to Alan Pardew, instead of telling us where our players will be next season, put your prawn sandwich down, get out the stands and sort your own club out.
Let the good times roll!

Well said

Pardew is a revolting individual. his team is utter tripe
