Is there some kind of a glitch with the site Eds? One of my messages is posted twice on Banter, and so is one of johny1989 on the Rumours page.

At least your post was put on I tried to post for the first time ever and it never got put on so I think I will go back to just reading the site every now and then without contributing.

Can you do anything about the glitches at Everton Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know if anyone could help with that, other than maybe a certain coach with a 100% record with England? ;-)

Bolasie has cut short his loan to villa and is back AT everton then we defiantly won't be bringing anyone in.

Niasse out now Bolaise back, Martinez/ Koeman/ Fat Sam/ Silva why is everything at EFC one step forward two steps back. At least I had the eighties.

Keep the faith you youngsters it will come good one day. ⏳⏭️.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - I keep saying this but I would love an Everton team that was strong and a formidable adversary like you were in the 1780’s, sorry I mean the 1980’s, same difference I suppose lol. No seriously two strong teams in Liverpool would be such a boost for the City and English footy in general.

22 Jan 2019 08:55:21
Is Bolasie THAT bad a player to have as an option down the right?

Granted he’s no world beater, especially since his injury, but he may bring a touch more balance to the side.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He is a LW, Everton already have half a dozen of those.~

22 Jan 2019 09:11:14
surely just sell him now for whatever we can get to get his 70k back off the wage bill.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2019 12:28:48
My mistake Ed. I had him down as a RW.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Like most wingers he can play on either side, but he, like 83% of Everton players, is primarily a LW.}

21 Jan 2019 19:50:21
End of the day, we need an out and out striker, we can't offload some we have, if Mr Moshri is so adament he wants trophys, then splash out, i don't get to many games but have spent 43 quid on restricted view and a hotel in Liverpool to watch them play Wolves, and yes i'm worried I've wasted my money, can you blame me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Jan 2019 22:28:41
sell the ticket to someone who wants to go then, mosheri can't just 'splash out' its ffp rules and also its a buisness he can't just continusly buy and not sell or we go bust but to hell with long term stability let's splurge every window get fined/ banned by eufa and go bust all in the pursuit of a trophy ay.

21 Jan 2019 22:29:45
I just do not understand why he does not call Frazer Hornby into the squad for the cup game, give the guy a chance, I know it is a step up from the under 23s but with the lack of strikers and not looking like we will bring one in, why not give him a go.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2019 07:18:52
Johny1989. Agree it is a business, which is why (old drum beat) I just cannot understand why he keeps making such bad judgement calls on the head coach recruitment. The only one that has met his brief and finished 8th (when the concensus was no chance) , was sacked. Football business is results. Never heard complaints when we consistently won 1-0 and some of that was 'boring'.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2019 08:12:06
Nothing wrong with DCL and Tosun that a consistent, continual run of games wouldn't enable a true assessment, I believe with trust, confidence would return, particularly to Tosun. The bloke scores and plays consistently well for his Country.

22 Jan 2019 09:12:52
so you was happy to keep fat sam DUCKS? and NEV i rate hornby just think this game may come too soon he's only played on game since having surgery but i would love to see him on the bench and get 30 mins.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2019 20:23:33
johny1989, why is it when anyone mentions SA you default to the "you was happy to keep fat sam", now i'm no lover of SA but his big talent was to recognise the quality/ limitations of his squad and, play to them read silver's comments he doesn't seem to have a clue about his squad.

21 Jan 2019 16:46:37
Just read Marco Silva's comments on the Everton site, it's deja Vu with very similar promises and aspirations to Bobby brown shoes!
He wants the team to play with pace, how is that going to happen with the core of the team sorely lacking in pace and not having the ability to find a decent pass to Lookman, Bernard and DCL who have.
Delusional springs to mind.

It now seems to me that certain players don't really want to play to a 100% for us maybe they see their future else where in the likes of Gomez, Gueye, Walcott and Lookman then we have the problem of certain players not really up to level required at this moment in the likes of Coleman, Sigurdisson, Bernard, we then have two Centre backs that are not strong or aggressive enough to cope with other top Strikers on a one to one,
Which leaves us only Digne and Pickford trying to work miracles,
The answer is not the January window, for the answer lays in Unsworth youth squad. Let's promote plays with a big heart, desire and are Everton through and through.
It could be a time to bring Jagielka back, to add more bit and leadership in to the team which we are sadly lacking.

Morning Blues, Rough weekend!

1,Brands isn’t the problem here! We are and will continue to suffer for the mismanagement of the football club that has been going on for 3 years,

Ed002 said he could name 10 players that we would like to see if the books, I would say that figure would more likely be 15 if you count some of the fringe youngsters. Even if on average of 50k a week per player that’s £750,000 a week in wages,

We were like a kid in a sweet shop and we are now paying for it, players on big wages that not many clubs are willing to pay, will take in some cases years to get shut

2,Tactics silva needs a plan B, in my eyes Sig needs a rest, he also slows pretty much everything down so if we are going to play him we need to take that into account

3, Pickford - there’s a keeper in there but he needs to get his head down and work hard to become the keeper his potential shows,

Too many mistakes for me, do the simple stuff well get your defence organised keep clean sheets and results will come.

4, we need a long term plan that we stick to not the managers but the clubs, if that’s put in place the majority will allow time for it to come to fruition, yes there will be times where fans are not happy with results and ask for the manager to go but the majority will see the bigger picture,

if you look at the 3 teams at the minute who are playing good football and who are competing they are all 2 to 3 years if not more down a path which was set out in a board room and one which they won’t compromise on, we have had more plans in 5 years than the A Team and no of them have come together!

Recruitment is critical and to be frank we have totally cocked that part up over the last 3 years.

21 Jan 2019 10:19:35
You make some valid points and the one area or time frame you mention is 3 years - this is roughly the time Moshiri has had his hands on the club - coincidence or not but not all investment is good.

We were one of the last clubs around that needed a new ground and some decent investment and who would be a safe bet to not get relegated so along comes the businesman Moshiri who sees us as easy pickings to make a decent profit once the ground is built and here lies the problem.

BK has blue blood but no money wheres Moshiri is the opposite - he has stated on numerous occasions that league positions is the most important factor for him hence the reason for splashing the cash, swapping managers on a regular business as a more succesful team is easier to flip. the man may have removed the debt - in the case of a interest free loan from himself which has no time frame to be paid back but he has us over the barrell so to speak.

I hope and pray we do not end up like a leeds or portsmouth as sooner or later Moshiri will decide to take his money elsewhere if performances etc do not improve and then where will we be?

for me Moshiri is the problem within the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 10:50:01
Goodison I disagree about Moshri. If as you said he is indeed just a business man wanting to flip the business the league position wouldn't be a main priority and he certainly wouldn't be spending large sums of money on players just to move up 2 or 3 places in the league, no return on investment there. I think you may have misjudged his intentions. In my opinion he sees Everton as a long term investment and has good intentions of trying to turn the club into a self sustainable profit making enterprise which would be great for both parties. Its a win win for me. For me the current issues are down having multiple managers in such a sort period of time. Indirectly leading to too many players on the books lacking the required traits to play the style of football the current manager wants to play. The lack of tactical awareness and the flexibility to change styles during what is in essence a transitional period. On top of that the poor form of some players is not helping one bit.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 10:50:35
Can't argue with that Yorkieblue. Look how long it took Man City to get the right combination of players/ managers in place. It didn't happen overnight. Even our neighbours didn't get it right straight away and took time and quite a few changes of players/ managers before it clicked. The point is to fix the sh*t the club is in it's going to take more than 6-12months. Maybe Silva isn't the right man for the job? we all know some peoples views on that, but if you don't give him a reasonable amount of time how will you know? And if not him who is?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 11:38:34
SA90 - I take your points - as you have mentioned the multiple managers does not help the situation but who is hiring / firing these - Moshiri.

yes he has invested millions of pounds but with this he is swapping managers left right and centre - why - looking for instant success IMHO which we all want but it seems Moshiri wants it straight away hence the managers being under pressure from day one.

BK brought us stability with no investment and had Moyes for 10 plus years - even tho we had some shockers with Moyes generally we were up there, year in year out.

Moshiri has brought his money and so far in 3 years we have had 5 managers and football which is poor - a large wage bill, too many players which are average etc

Its a game of opinions which is why I think this site is tops.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 12:21:07
Getting the right manager for the club is not an easy thing though BK gave us Moyes but then followed that by RM who was not a great success.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 13:03:01
Yes sadly Moshiri is the problem well said Goodison.
I can only see a bleak future as he fails he will lose interest. The club is and will continue to drift down sadly. So many clubs go down and I takes years to come back if we do.
Sadly Kenright sold to the wrong man, it must hurt him so much it hurts me.
Saturday I will be watching the game with a friend who is a Millwal supporter and he knows his team can win and so do I.
Eventually Silva will go and very very likely Moshiri will bring in the wrong man again I cry for my team the future is very bleak.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 13:19:24
You just have to look at how difficult it's been to fill the void for some other clubs who had long-term managers. It's not easy getting the right guy in charge and more often than not clubs make a few errors of judgement before they get it right. Maybe we've made more than most? Maybe it'll take someone other than Marco Silva to get the team playing consistently well? That's for the club to decide. He should be given until the Summer at the very least.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 18:13:53
I am going to be slated but it is not so much a problem but hindrance from one person still being in an executive role and up to the recent announcement on Brands greater role, having influence over Manager and transfers and more to the point a trusted friend and confident to Moshri. A wonderful servant to the Club over the years but heart over head decisions.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2019 19:07:42
if you are talking about BK no complaints from me - saved us and brought great stability to the club - yes time to move on ( for BK that is ) perhaps but I personally feel he sought the wrong investment from the wrong person.

Rafa is a good manager but for me is very much negative football, don't get me wrong i would have him as manager just not sure if he would get the fans onside with the red connection the small club shout and the defensive football, would he be allowed the time to change the club?

disappointing result again on Saturday, looked all wrong from the get go, seriously fed up now of gutless performances from players who clearly are not arsed, the biggest one being gylfi (although he scored) he's never asking for the ball and always seems not bothered about it, seamus again terrible and thought gana was poor. more fight in little Bernard than either of them three, next game start DCL with rich Bernard and lookman behind.

Has anyone noticed that everytime pickford makes an error or miskicks he is always blaming someone else and swearing at them for his mistake. Most noticeably at lucas this is prior to the own goal. And his positioning is so poor that he makes himself look better than he is with all his camera saves which is what sticks in your mind. Rather than the Liverpool incident, and the one in the cup last year with his missed punch. I find it worrying he is our undisputed number 1 let alone the national teams.
