What's the best goal you've ever seen at Goodison? Personally mine would be Rooney's goal against Arsenal, to be that young and have the confidence to beat one of the best keeper's in the game at the time is something that still amazes me. Plus correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that goal put an end to Arsenal's unbeaten run of 49 games or so.

I hope this about Stubbs and Baines is nonsense, wasn't to happy with Stubbs when rooney went and his comments then .hes now part of evertons coaching set up, so no good to come out with comments like this .a quick statement from Stubbs tomorrow to end the story would do .probably nonsense from papers but they have put his name as the source so a comment from him is probably needed

Andy Kings volley against the RS in the 78 Derby. When Dobbo headed it down you just knew it was goal bound.

sharpy against the reds

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerry Humphreys against Sheffield Wednesday 1968-69. Also one of the finest Everton performances I have seen in 55 years of watching, there were times that season we played better than we did the following

Agree0 Disagree0

We scored loads of good team goals in mid eighties but the recent one that stood out was ossies v Larissa in uefa cup

Albo

Agree0 Disagree0

Any against the Reds
Ste 1878

Agree0 Disagree0

Albo, that Ossie goal was mint. But it has to be Sharpies against the RS. AN ABSOLUTE WORLDIE!

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant remember who it was against, but Trevor Steven top corner similar to Van Basten. I am sure someone will remind me who it was against.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Sheedy's free kick against Ipswich(I think, memory not what it use to be)
Just outside the 18 yard box park end
Puts it straight in the top left corner.
The ref makes him take it again so he puts it top right!!
Pure class!

Agree0 Disagree0

Trevor Stevens against Sunderland1985

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford vs Chelsea was pretty special, effectively ran 3 quarters of the pitch beat 3 Chelsea players and dinked it past cech. He scored a some great goals just a shame there wasn't many of them!

Agree0 Disagree0

Big dunc against the mancs under the flood lights at goodison the stadium just erupted amazing moment

I see people write some strange stuff on here. In particular I have read things like, "Good for Baines for showing his loyalty and staying with us." "He is an Everton lad through and through". All of this is total rubbish. The facts are these:
1. He has some time left on his contract (2 years I think)
2. Every player has a value and whilst he has a couple of years left there is no need for Everton to sell yet. unless another club offers over his value and Manchester United have certainly not done that.
3. Only by going on strike or sulking as per Lescott will he force a move. And this will also only happen when another club offers what Everton consider to be his value.
4. Players these days are professional through and through. Meaning football is a job for them. If someone offers a better job with better prospects and more money, then of course they are interested. But remember.Baines is under contract.
I trust that explains the Baines situation. and these rules apply to all other players in professional football.

We spend all summer worried and complaining about how Baines is going to leave. He stays; we breathe a huge sign of relief, take a deep breath in and start worrying and complaining about January. It doesn't matter If he is going in January, he is here now. He is the most professional player I've ever seen, he will continue to give his all and come January, we will have a plan.

Hi guys, toon fan here in peace. hope you beat west ham tomorrow, although a draw will be an alright result, but as usual they will play hoofball, and it will cause you problems as it did against us as our back four hadn't fully gelled yet, but you got a great result against chelsea and hopefully you'll continue your unbeaten run! Can't wait for the match between everton and newcastle on monday night football, it will be a good game, well its always a good and exciting game when we play each other, especially how our teams are pretty even now, maybe yours a bit more experienced! Good luck with the west ham game :) {Ed025's Note - lets hope the ref is better this time mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes Ed025. I agree. Probably one of the worst referee performances I have seen for allowing dangerous tackling. Clottenburg excepted.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha yh, totally agree ed. you deserved to win last seasons game

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anybody say newcastle are even with everton, we will see at the end of the season my guess we are far better, by a country mile. tom efc

Bernie Wright for me!

Got to be Big Bob. as the badge used to say "Jesus saves, but Latchford scores the rebound!"

Agree0 Disagree0

Big nev is a great shout as Howard will always cost you 4-5 goals a season but I would pick Lineker - we desperately need an out and out goal scorer at the minute

I thibk the line-up should be:

Howard
Coleman
Jags
Distin
Baines
Barry
McCarthy
Naismith
Mirallas
Barkley
Lukaku

For me Naismith has to play, he has proved he deserves to play in the next fixture with his performance against Chelsea. For me this is a much better line-up than last year, with more competition for places and two outstanding prospects. If jela plays I'm diving head first through the telly.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I know he can't hit a barn door at the moment but Jela still offers a lot to the team. Just his movement alone benefits the team so much, he creates little pockets of space for other players to run into and he also gets a few assists. Personally I think he's a vital part of Robbie's plans, but in order for him to play a vital role for the foreseeable future he has to start contributing goals instead of just being a good team player.

BitterBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

He looses the ball too much, he is virtually no threat in front of goal this season, and he doesn't get that many assists. For me, he has been shocking. the ball just seems to bounce off him. Ainichibe was much better for me, he could hold the ball up ad bring others into play. As to the good runs, he makes runs, but a premier league striker should be contributing much more than opening space for other players. H just looses it too much for me and runs round like a headless chicken for the most part.

I really do hope stubb's remarks are the media, quoting something out of context to " make " a story. However, if not, Baines is ( as unt supporter wanting him on the cheap have pointed out almost 29 ) he is under contract for another two years, so even if he were to walk out at it's end, don't see unt waiting two years to solve their left back problem, indeed there is no certainty that the ginger rat will still have the job, so, Mr baines, if that is the way you feel, no new big contract, you will play out the last two years of your current deal, and don't let the door hit you on your greedy ungreatful ass on the way out.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stubbs wants to keep his mouth shut.
Or better yet get shot of him. You've got to wonder if he's got an ulterior motive, as with the debacle that was Rooney.

Just read mersons predictions on the ssn app, he speaks a bit about both teams then gives his prediction, but when you get to the west ham v everton part he only speaks about the hammers does not mention us atall, predicts we will win but not one single mention! In all the other predictions he speaks about both teams! I know it's not important or even worth mentioning but it just annoys me that everton quite often get over looked!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I noticed that too Sie.

I will say though that Merson has been very complimentary of Everton lately, so I wouldn't put it down to him mate.

Let's just hope he gets the score right ;-)

Tomorrow is a big game IMO a good performance and 3 points is needed to build on last weeks win against Chelsea, keep our un-defeated streak going and another clean sheet will be a bonus.

Howard
Coleman jags distin baines
Gibson Barry
Mirallas Barkley Naisy
Lukaku

Was thinking of starting Del Boy instead of Naismith but Naisy had a good game last week and got us the winner so let's see if he can bring that performance into tomorrow's game, but would definately try to give Del Boy a 30 minute run out!
Should be a good game I see us getting a positive result 0-2 with lukaku and mirallas either side of half time! :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Sep 2013 11:56:54
I agree Si, just think he may have Lookarkoo on the bench mate, defo got to keep Naisy in

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he may go for 4-3-3 tomorrow to accommodate McCarthy, Osman and Barry in midfield and nullify their strength in the middle, with Mirallas, Lukaku and Naismith up top.
Tight game but think we'll nick it by the odd goal. Lukaku to get the decider.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh dear, I've missed a certain Mr Barkley out there, replace Naismith or Osman with Ross, good times, and it'll be a, erm, 4-2-3-1 :s.

Right Blues I think I already know the answer but here goes

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrows match ha ha

Does it begin with L

Was going to stay in and get the radio out as still recovering from last weekends wedding piss up but just changed my mind and can't wait for the first pint to flow down at 1pm

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Personally I can't wait to see big L unleashed. Surely he's got to bag a goal, and especially as big Sam tried all summer to sign him.
