im not tryin to put a downer on things but lets not get too ahead of ourselves with vellious,ok he scored a good goal but he also gave the ball away alot, hes a young man so i will give him time but at this moment in time, hes not the answer

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I agree with you mate

Agree1 Disagree0

He is not the finished article, but he has shown in glimpses that he has talent worth getting excited about. He will get a decent amount of matches this season that will help him progress {Ed025's Note - he looks good to me..he is only young, and is the type of player moyes can mould into a star, show a bit of faith in the lad, he has done nothing wrong up to now!...

Agree0 Disagree0

What have we got if we haven't got dreams - Degs {Ed025's Note - you right degs....we do have dreams....unlike the reds...who had a nightmare on sunday...lol

Whats your prediction for tomorrow ed?? {Ed024's Note - 2-1 win, big vellios and Denis to score!

Agree1 Disagree1

3-1 with drenthe on the score sheet again, watching drenthe play makes me glad we missed out on n'zogbia who hasn't had a good start at villa

I hope we go for it tomorrow night. We can win this trophy ffs if we put out strong sides. I am hoping saha gets a run out tomorrow night as well. COYB

The priority this season is europe, if we can do that by winning a cup even better. A few more home ties would be nice as well.

I was thinking about this today and though the answers would be interesting if I posted it here, so here it is:

If Liverpool offered crazy money for one of our star players like Baines, Fellani or Barkley would you take it?
I'm talking like 50 million for one of them.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I would take 50 million for one of them only if moyes was allowed to reinvest every penny on players, although i doubt any of those players would want to play for liverpool

Agree1 Disagree1

I would sell them anichebe and neville for 50 million {Ed025's Note - i would..even if it was ...turkish lira!

Agree1 Disagree0

Knowing kenny he would offer more than 50 million!! He only signs average players, so he won't be interested in our better players

Rumours that moyes is going to make a few changes tomorrow for cup game.
Would love to see this team;
Mucha
Neville Heitinga Distin Baines

Barkley Rodwell Osman Drenthe

Saha Vellios

Rest Jagielka, Fellaini and Cahill for the city game.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

It will be good to see saha back, we need him for the tough run of fixtures coming up

Agree3 Disagree1

This would be a good match for saha to get a good run out before the tough run of fixtures coming up

I am getting fed up off everytime we get a new star coming through the ranks then we get the so called bigger clubs come along and try and pinch them, JUST LEAVE OUR YOUNG TALENT ALONE, i just hope we don't need the the money as much as the rumours lead us to believe then there will be no need to sell.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Most of the newspaper speculation is rubbish, most of our players were linked to other clubs last season and only arteta went, other than that is is just mainly rubbish to sell papers. No everton player has sated a desire to leave and i personally think moyes is creating a young exciting side.

Bez the blue

Agree2 Disagree1

Good players always get linked to other clubs, most of the time it is tabloid nonsense and it is just a sign with have a very good team with quality players. This is going to be a good season for the blues.

Did anyone hear the news at lunch time?? Seems Everton have mortgaged their TV rights to an offshore company which will bring in 14 mil!! Please correct if i've heard it wrong.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I heard this also

Agree1 Disagree1

Not a good sign really in my opinon - it means you get jam today but theres none left to come in tomorrow - if they're doing this it could mean:
1. we're in the **** with the bank and need a fire sale to stay alive or 2. Moyes knows he's not far from a decent team and wants the money for a top forward or 3. Kenright is asset stripping and selling the silver :( or a.n.other reason I cant think of :)
or its not even true

Did you hear Moyes post match saying something like "if some of our more estalished players think that they can rely on no-cost loan players having to come on and rescue a game, then they're going to have to change their expectations"?
I wonder who he had in mind?
Sounds like he's losing patience with one or two. Maybe we'll find out in January.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Maybe Moyes has had enough of players moaning and grumbling all the time. On and off the pitch... Bily loses the ball and gets a face on, rather than fighting to get the ball back, same with Victor... Peanuts wanted to 'play champions league football'... now he's not even playing football!! Arteta wanted to 'play champions league football'... They'll be lucky to stay in the competition for much longer and don't look like they're even going to qualify for it next season! Fellaini looks like he could go the same way. As for Louis latest ridiculous outburst, stop being a big baby and take a leaf out of Phil Nevilles book and be a true professional... Get behind the team and share your experience, not act like a spoiled child. The players need to see what a fantastic club Everton really is and get on with the job in hand. Some of the lads seem to have one eye on the ball and another on the exit. Moyes is right to play the players with passion and that are proud to wear the shirt!

Agree4 Disagree0

Velios, gueye, drenthe, denis, baines, coleman and barkley are young enthusiastic players who are the future of this club, they will play with passion and drive us forward to better things

Team for cup game against West Brom:

Howard

Neville, Jags, Distan, Baines

Barkley, Osman, Felli, Drenthe

Denis, Vellios

Subs: Mucha, Hibbo, Heights, Coleman, Rodwell, Cahill, Saha.

What do you all reckon?!?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Swap Barkley and Osman round and you're onto a winner. Wouldn't mind seeing something more like that every game! Good call.

Agree1 Disagree1

Maybe swap neville for coleman! But kooks a very good attacking team, hopefully could see something similar to that in the cup tomorrpw night, would like to see more of it t home games aswell.

Agree2 Disagree0

We should stick to picking players on form, Hibbo right back and Coleman right wing. Give Royston a start on the left and get Tolos on from the start. Give Cahill a rest and give Barkley a free role. That should just about do it!

Agree3 Disagree0

Heitinga for Distin & Rodwell for Osman
