I've seen the new kit today, it's dead smart.sort of a pinstripe design, darker blue with a round neck and button with black trim ;-)

I work for a company that's printing the flyer for the release of the new kit, it's all very secretive but I managed to have sneaky peak.on closer look its not really pinstripe, just a darker blue with black round the neck and sides, looks really classy with the new badge.

Please Please Please get Snodgrass. 6.5 mil and great in a crap side. A great link player for a striker and I think he could play there too.

Would he really improve us though? My mate is a Norwich fan and he can't wait to see the back of him. He's slow, predictable and just an average player really. Not for me.

I think he'd be a good signing, but he's unlikely to break the first team, and £6.5m is a lot for him. £5m and under and I'd have him

Not for me he's bang average and wouldn't improve as one bit.

what a laugh! liverpool knocked out of the world cup by their own forward, you couldn't make it up.
can't understand why henderson, johnson & gerrard were anywhere near that squad.
clyne over johnson all day every day for me.
llalana/barkley instead of henderson all day every day.
alan carr over the mighty gerrard all day every day.gerrard was finished years ago.

As an england fan I'll stand up for Henderson, think he played well in both games. Gerrard and Johnson are another matter entirely though, Johnson gets the ball and just stops all the time and Gerrard can't pick a pass can't run can't defend and can't shoot, he has never been anywhere near the player for england that he is for the rs

IMO its not the players fault its the managers if you pick the best so called English players9thats debateablu in its self) and then try to play them together in a formation they they don't necessarily play for at their club then you are going to get found out. England will not get anywhere until the manager has enough backbone to pick players that play in the position he wants them to play in week in week out. Let the so called superstars fight it out for the one position but don't just move them to try to keep them in the team as it nearly always does not work. I would take the current u17 put them all on central contracts and put them in the conference and see how far you could progress them. Add experience or aditional players as and when, but the aim would be to get to the premireship. By the time they got there you would probably have quite a decent team that let's face it would not do much worse than England has over the last 12 years and may well be much better. You may also get players actually wanting to play for England as a 1st choice and not just look for big money contracts just to sit on a bench ala Moses, Johnson A, Lescott and Bentley.

With jags baines and Barkley (and real blue Rooney) it was almost as much an everton team as a Liverpool one
Gerrard is gone - Barkley the future - plus Stones -
Just have to get rid of Roy - he was never the man for the job in the first place - just a respectable FA type man who knows how to hold his knife n fork properly and had no skeletons

Let's call a spade a spade Baines and jags were as poor as anyone, never seen Baines so scared to push on, il give credit to Hodgson aswell he's an old school manager but has pushed the attacking philosophy although he hasn't the players with the drive to implement it

Pushed the attacking philosophy by having two holding midfielders and no wingers. Hmmm

Mike, have you ever played football? Try marking 2 players at the same time? that's what Baines had to do as he had no-one covering his backside. That's the reason he couldn't push forward but I agree with other comments. Jags is a really decent club player but isn't international class but who else is there? Smalling and Jones aren't up to this level either. In Jags' defence though, he plays on the right of a back 4 for us whereas Cahill played there for England. You see the game from a totally different view by changingto the left.
Barkley should start against Costa Rica, Shaw and Ox too. Bye bye Gerrard.
