Think we should go for boney . The lukaku mess has been going on too long. Time to move on.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Boney - hmm.
We're more likely to sign Ra-Ra-Rasputin, Russia's greatest sex machine!

I would be made up if we signed either Lukaku or Bony, Hernandez on loan with view to buy, Besic and perhaps Zaha who I think will be a star under Martinez

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Jul 2014 00:30:13
Doesnt everyone seem to be able to be a star under martinez? I have an idea, chuck anyone out the club over 21, is your kid struggling weight issues? can't get him off that xbox? hasn't he had a girlfriend? can't get a job? Join everton, become a millionaire, you don't need talent just as long as your playing under roberto and his sparkly brown shoes you will be a guaranteed superstar, messi, ronaldo? Who are they, your son is a minute away from stardom

Ooh, where do I sign up Swan!?!?!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 22:46:13
Jose Mouriniho what ever his name is I really don't care, but it is he who is holding us to ransom over Lukaku all because he wants Barkley, well your not getting him so you can swing for it, let's just forget Lukaku and move on if we have 20 mill to spend on a striker I'm sure we will find a quality one for that amount F Lukaku and Jose.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't get why poeple seem to think to know the reasons behind stuff there could be a number reasons but to assume lukakus told us to wait or Jose's asked for silly, looking for something to blame means nothing

Heskey turns us down any true . that's worrying if true.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 21:17:25
Apparently we offer HESKEY a deal, which HE rejected. WOW. well. When RM said he wanted attackers, I didn't think this was what he was talking about. omg.

The latest news coming from Holland and Moaninho is that Lukaku will decide his future and Everton are quietly confident of securing his signature. Guess it depends on what Moaninho says to him when he returns from holiday.

out of the players linked
cerci 13
rom 18 to 25
bacca 14

little pea loan
besic 4 mil

who would u like the most

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 21:47:43
I doubt cerci would only cost 13m and most italian league players that come to the prem flop, bacca is 28 in 2 months, rom for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Besides his age, doesn't Bacca have a 30 million euros buyout/release clause in the contract he signed when he joined Sevilla in July 2013?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - not that i am aware of sid..but as us smokers know...the price of bacca is astronomical mate.. :)

Ed025: so, as an Evertonian and a smoker, what do you prefer - "Golden Virginia" or the "Golden Vision"?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - golden virginia mate.. :)

Yeh he does cowpat sid but acording to reports their willing to take 14

So, RM is patiently abiding his time to entice the right and proper 3 off forwards and 1 midfielder that will improve the dynamic of the squad. He is keeping his cool, keeping options open that include the bright and good from within the club. Everyday, I read "that club" has purchased "that player" or "this player". One wonders if they have a development plan or just want to spend money or to be seen to be spending money - I frankly struggle to recall the latest player names, despite the eye watering figures being spent by these clubs. Collectively, to date 60million more than last year. Nuts!
We progressed last year. Keep to plan. Be patient. Forever blue. COYB

. it's quite obvious folks, in regard to Lukaku, Chelski have thrown their toys out of the pram because we have told them that we are not selling Ross Barkley to them. If I were Bill & bobby, I'd tell them where to shove it & move on. & sign another striker - preferably Bony & the young striker from Belgium we were linked with in the last window - Batyshui his name I believe!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Batishuyi signed for Marsielle (or some french club) I'd swap Barkeley for Lukaku and 20 mil coming our way . Seriously by the way. Lukaku despite his big ego is going to be the new Drogba Barkley Zi'm not sure will reach his potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:18:21
Batshuayai went to marseille mate

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 19:50:56
Pb2, I agree that, potentially, Rom could get close to becoming Drogba like. If he keeps his head down and works hard then he will be a top player. Got to say though, there is no way we should include Ross in any deal. The lad is quality and will only get better under RM. He will reach his undoubted potential and I, for one, would prefer that to be in the royal blue shirt not at a plastic club like chelski

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance I would let barkley go not even to fund a deal for whoever, as it stands barkley has the potential to be a world class player and will improve after a great debut season but we have to make a statement that we are no longer a selling club, he is blue through and through and by that I mean evertonian we have moved on from Rooney where we needed to cash in and his money was so important for the club, if we sold him that to me is saying we have no ambition and at the point of where we are future looks so good we have to try and get champions league to bring in that extra cash that will help with new ground and potential investment so it's crucial we keep improving our fantastic squad which let's be fair nearly made it last year and don't forget Europa league this season is big as you win it your in champions league so should not be looked as a distraction

Agree0 Disagree0

RM has made plenty of statements that, unlike recent times, we aren't under financial pressure to transfer players and that any outgoing transfers will be for football, not financial, reasons.
His stated aim has consistently been to finish each transfer window with a stronger squad than at the start of the window.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 16:21:44
What's taking so long to do these transfer deals?
Let me see if I can shed some light on the subject.
before I retired, I spent many years working as an agent, not football related, but the principle is still the same.
The agents gets between the seller & the buyer, & works both ends for his client & himself.
He gets the highest price he can for the seller because he will be on a percentage of the price & terms agreed & will try to agree a "fee" from the buyer for getting them his client. This 2nd deal will be unknown to the seller & his client. This is common practise & the deal goes thro'.
Why did it take so long to do the G.B. deal?
Why did the Ba deal not happen?
& what's going on with the Lakuku deal?
The agents are "at it" for themselves.
The whole system is driven by greed.
The answer is for the buyer to put a time limit on
the deal, agree the price with the seller, the terms with the player a deadline with the agent & move
on if the deal is not done in the time agreed.
Once an agent starts to lose buyers the price & terms come down.Thats the theory, but it needs
someone with "balls" from the buyer to play
"who blinks first" with one of these agents.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Simon Jordan (who used to own Crystal Palace) has some interesting things to say about agents - and football and its finances - in his book. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but at least he writes about something that he has personal experience of - unlike most journos who've never had to live by their results.

Funny how Sly sports news ran the lukaku to stay story but slybet cut his odds from 1/4 yesterday to 1/5 today to sign for everton (and yes I know how odds work - risk and all that) but clearly either punters don't trust them or they know something which they aren't telling us

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There are stringent rules about professional footballers betting on the sport - and severe penalties for those caught out. Even more so, the penalties for those "persons" involved in match fixing.
I wonder how soon before betting on transfers, etc., is also investigated for the abuse of insider knowledge?
All those who claim to be itk - or claim to have been told by someone itk - might need to think twice in future. I doubt they will, as they clearly feel superior when gleefully imparting such "knowledge" and then crowing when it actually (on those rare occasions) proves to have been correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 22:31:57
Cowpat I don't think the OP is talking about footballers betting on transfers. Its the conflict of interest that Sly Sports running a story and Slybet cutting odds, maybe enticing punters to lump on thinking its a cert.

I know that - I was just adding something from a different angle in response to an original post that had mentioned betting :-)

Just over 24 hours ago, Lukaku was a done deal, come teatime, he will be staying to "fight for his place. I don't know, more than anyone else, weather he or chelsea changed there minds, but I think we must be very near the point where we say, enough is enough, thank you for your contribution last season but it's time to move on.The man is a goal scorer, and they are hard to find, but I really can live without the super sized ego.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And all that came when he is off on hols not even reported back to Chelsea yet

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 13:01:45
I think lukaku will come in personally with another striker on loan we will break our transfer record this window I see 4 maybe 5 players coming in possibly 3 of them being season loans

Lukaku 18-23m
Besic. 4m
Troare or Hernandez. Season loan
Rodwell or cleverly?
Atsu - season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 16:12:40
Traore or herandez? Traore, atsu, no tar, rodwell or cleverley? Jesus, have we went so far behind that our only options are the worst footballer to ever wear any shirt, ever, or a crap player with glass legs, i'd honestly rather play with 10 men then have either, heard villa agreed a fee for ki of swansea, the lad is class, he is 50000000000000x the player those 2 are, combined, if ki had one leg and 1 eye, please martinez, god, anyone, do not let any of the comedy duo of jack or tom go anywhere near our club

Agree0 Disagree0

They aren't that bad Swan, you don't get to where they both are in the world of football without being a good player. You go on about them like they wouldn't get a game on Buckley Hill on a Sunday morning. I don't want Rodwell or Cleverley but to make out they are as bad as you do is just plain ignorant. Maybe you could put your boots on and have a trail? Oh wait no, you're posting derogatory remarks about them while they're earning millions and have no idea who you are. Think about it eh!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 23:47:52
I posted a huge rant, wouldn't let me post, tell me, from one human being to another, what does cleverley do, what does tom cleverley have, what does he do on a football pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Zero, Swan, absolutely zero! I find it astonishing that he is a professional footballer let alone playing at Man Utd, he's not even average. He is English though, that always helps the hype.}

21 Jul 2014 01:21:41
Yep, he's sorted for life now, he could retire tomorrow (fingers crossed) and never have to work again, simply because he's english, its gone way beyond a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Welbeck is in the same bracket to me, Swan. I used to take dogs abuse on the Utd site for saying they should sign McCarthy and they've still got poorer players in the team! Signing McCarthy was the best, value for money, piece of business done in England last summer. Cleverley or McCarthy, there's no comparison.}

Totally agree Ed007. Jimmy Mac now looks to be a steal at £13m. I wouldn't take Cleverley and Welbeck combined in a swap for McCarthy if it was to be suggested (not that it has thank God).
I also believe despite the hype in recent days that it was a done deal, that the Lukaku move is dead in the water and we should move on. Why wait any longer? We've been waiting long enough as it is and he's going to stay at Chelsea to warm the bench next to Torres, then that's now his choice. Let's face it, if he'd really wanted to come to us; he would have foregone his holiday and signed straight away. So what's he got to look forward to? A handful of Capita One and FA Cup games and hoping that Costa becomes injured or suspended.
What goes around, comes around!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 13:55:12
Don't believe all this Chelsea rubbish about Lukaku. Of course Chelsea will say he is staying there. That way they can expect a higher transfer fee.whoever bids for him. Apparently Jose M has to assess him now before a decision can be made. Utter rubbish. If he does not know his capabilities by now, he never will. They know Lukaku is ambitious and wants first team action. They also have a couple of forwards ahead of Lukaku in the squad. Lukaku does not want to play second fiddle. he has already said that. It will come down to what Lukaku wants. and if that is a move away, then we have to at least offer better terms than other clubs. If not then Bony is probably our next port of call.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well if we're going to go for Bony we would want to hurry up because Spurs yes Spurs I see I want are going for him. To be honest going to Spurs is a backward step but if they have the money well then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently Liverpool baulked at Bonys demands, if thatt is true we have absolutely no chance. If Chelsea sell Lukaku their only recognised. "True" forwars will be Costa and Torres. They sold Ba which points to Lukaku staying.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:10:02
Yeah because its not like chelsea can go out and sign another striker or anything is it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Before you discuss wages a fee has to be agreed with the clubs so that's bull xxxx

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - His agent can speak to other clubs and agree terms, but normally they would not discuss an actual move without some indication from the player's club that they would be willing to sell.}

20 Jul 2014 12:03:42
Reports last week were suggesting that Romelu Lukaku was on the verge of a move to Everton, but today, Chelsea's assistant first team coach Steve Holland has said he will be staying with them. last night said that Lukaku wanted to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge, something Lukaku had said earlier this season before his return.
Today, assistant first team coach at Chelsea, Holland, said that Lukaku would be linking up with them next week.
"The plan is that he will join up with us at some stage during the second [pre-season] week when we are in Holland, " he said.
When asked if Lukaku would be encouraged to stay at Chelsea, he said, "That's the situation as I understand it."
It's going to be a long summer.

I just hope we have a plan B and quickly

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of course he will be reporting back to them for pre season I don't think the assistant is going to say he will not be coming back and is being sold do you

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 11:20:34
Lukaku going on Chelsea pre season tour he's staying at Chelsea people. Think about it, if they sold him that leaves them Torres as back up to Costa. He's said his business is done and no more in. Put a fork in this one because it 's done.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You only read what we all read and how much of what we read comes true about 5% so not saying he will be sold just until window shuts we won't know or an announcement is made bobby has said on video that if it takes to last day to do our deals then so be it that I do believe coming on hear is only rumours that we get from media from around the world

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 15:42:44
Oh yeah because if a player goes on pre season tour it means he can't transfer anywhere I mean its not like we signed mccarthy after his pre season oh wait we did, loosen up, ever see bad boys? Woosah, you aren't even a glass half empty kind of guy, you're just straight up negative, doom or gloom and all round buzz killer, 'we won't sign anyone!', 'lukaku is going on pre season with chelsea' oh the horror! He went with them last season and we still got him, pucker up, come here and give me a cuddle!

Looks like we're not getting Lukaku now. I'm disappointed but not gutted. If he'd signed after all his obvious come-ons to clubs who win titles and play in the CL, I think I'd have felt like a bloke who's ended the night with a girl who'd tried to cop off with all the better looking guys in the club first. I'm not saying I wouldn't take her home and enjoy it, but I would feel a bit dirty. Problem is Bony probably feels the same about us after we were so open about Rom being our number 1 target.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 07:49:37
Even If I did feel a bit dirty, I think I'd get over it ;) Rom is still young and figuring out his future. Don't dismiss him yet.
