We are 6th yes 6th in the premier league the best league in the world we have drawn and taken points off united city arsenal and Liverpool, the premiership is a marathon not a sprint and don't forget we are batter in the latter part of the season COYB IMWT

Listen guys a point against citeh at citeh a point against arsenal who can by the way play, Norwich a point Liverpool a point, what are you moaning about its points gained not three points lost. The premiership is a marathon NOT a sprint and lest we forget Everton get stronger in the second half of the season IMWT and COYB {Ed025's Note - and what do points make... prizes..

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I'll give you that a point against teams like Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool is a point gained. However a point against mickey mouse teams like QPR, Norwich, Fulham and Wigan is definitely 2 points dropped.

Mike {Ed025's Note - why have you separated liverpool from the mickey mouse list mike....you really do stun me at times..

Agree0 Disagree0

Only because we should have lost that game ed. And to be be honest, as much as I don't like them, they are still a decent team. (awaits everyone calling me a red now)

Mike {Ed025's Note - before we nearly lost it mike...we should have won it!!, we are a better team than them at this time, so now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party, and rub their noses in it, as they have done over the years,...do unto others, as they would have done unto you....its even in the bible mate!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice respect for other teams, especially our Latics neighbours Mike, showing your class again eh mate.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

I never said we weren't better than them though ed. We are, I just put Liverpool in a higher class than the likes of Wigan and QPR that's all.

Mike {Ed025's Note - i think you show them too much respect mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed says 'Too much respect', Degsy says 'Not enough respect'.

I don't think I can win here can I ?

Mike {Ed025's Note - too much respect to the reds...not enough to us mike, its not rocket science..

Agree0 Disagree0

But surely by thinking we should be beating the crap teams that we have only drawn against, shows that I think we are a good team? Anyway, can we forget that I posted on this, as I don't want to upset any fans who happen to disagree with me.

Mike {Ed025's Note - there is nothing wrong with being a bit controversial mike...you have your say mate, i do enjoy some of them..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think they are a good side and will only get better and they have youth on their side. But at this moment I believe we have the edge on them, just. Take their No 7 out of the equation, then they're nothing more than a mid-table team like Stoke, Fulham etc. No disrespect to those teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesnt matter who we think we are better than, its no good if we cnt beat them in a one off game, true blue, efc 4 life

Mancini belittling Everton again claiming that playing City is our 'Champions League Final'!

He's a person, er no sorry I mean person.

Nostrawigus

Please post it Ed025

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Lol Ed025.
That second person was not a person it was a 'see you next Tuesday'!

Nostrawigus

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't like it cos he knows Moyes has his number and we're a bigger club. Shows his class or lack of. I take it as a compliment myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

'Everton can score only on set-pieces' LOL. The man is clueless. When did we last score from a set-piece, the opening day ? I can't think of any recently.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mancini is starting to feel the pressure. Any manager could do what he has done with the money he has spent. Overrated clown.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Mike, I think he is under pressure or he should be with their CL performances. I could have assembled probably a better squad than he has with the money he's been allowed to throw away.

Joleon Lescott is a really over rated player who makes so many mistakes and if Everton got him on loan they would just be waisting money and playing time for Distin if they do sighn Lescott it would be a real waste {Ed025's note - its all about opinions mate...i think he is quality..

Believable4 Unbelievable2

But at the moment we only have 3 centre backs. Injuries/suspensions/loss of form mean we need 1 more in my opinion. Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with you ed.always gave moyes an option, center half or full back, weighed in with a good few goals at everton too.moyes took him out of the championship with two dodgy knees and made him a quality player.bob

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, but have to disagree, I remember when Jags and Lescott were on top form, if we scored, we won. Clean sheets were very common when those two were at the back, and now compare that to now, I mean, we haven't kept a clean sheet in 10 games, so surely he couldn't make our defence worse?

Agree0 Disagree0

Distin is coming to the end - good player but it happens to all - to get versatile Lescott back would be a great result {Ed025's Note - im with you..

Agree0 Disagree0

Duffy is a better player {Ed025's Note - as i say...its all about opinions... but hes not..

Agree0 Disagree0

No problem with Lescott but hes the wrong side of 30 and arentwe getting Forren anyway?

Good point at statistically the most difficult ground in the league. Only 3 points off 3rd, the optimism is still there! Once Jelly gets 1 goal, the rest will follow quickly! COYB!

MattBlue {Ed025's Note - i agree matt..

The 2nd half 25 mins in we had 30% possession wtf!
We need to calm down and control the ball it's all to rushed

Ant wharton

Believable0 Unbelievable1

That's a point gained rather than 2 dropped, especially at the Etihad. Now we desperately need to get some wins on the board in the next few games to take us into January still in contention. {Ed025's Note - your right mate, good result today, now its time to kick on COYB..

Agree0 Disagree0

We're usually not in contention by January so it makes a nice change to be not far off that coveted 4th place. I think it's ours if we can replicate our second half of season form. from the last few years.

Ed just a question wouldnt it be better to just be more attractive to sponsors rather than having a so called investment?? I mean look at Arsenal 150 million pounds till 2019 which alone makes about 22.5 million pounds a year Pakistani Blue {Ed001's Note - an investment can be worth hundreds of millions of pounds in a lump sum, which is much more useful to the club.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Dec 2012 17:02:26
yes but i dont want too see the teams performance go down when an owner sacks managers i mean look at chelsea Qpr.................... Pakistani Blue

old mr potato head at chelsea is quoted as saying that the players have two games to save their jobs (before todays game)
shouldn't that be two games to save his job...great start

Degsy

Degsy your obsessed with the red side you should know where we are in the table..you also know your the small team in the city. {Ed025's Note - if you know where you are mate, and you realise its where you belong..then thats fine..

Leighton Baines our left back is officially the most creative player in Europe creating 53 chances! Love it, stuff barca and Madrid!
BlueClarkey

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Marvellous he will win absolute nothing with Everton so whats your point?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think his point is obvious. Baines is the best attacking left back in the world and the statistics reflect that !

Agree0 Disagree0

Ray wilson world cup winner evertons greatest left back .simples

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate I'm not being funny but where in that post did it say Baines is going to win the champions league? Oh yeah it didn't, can you not read?
Finally 3 Baines' or glen Johnson? And you moan about having to money! Why give it to you you just waste it! Johnson 18m Henderson 16m aquilani 24m and lest I forget big Andy 35m
With that money I could guarantee everton would have got at least top 3
BlueClarkey

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that Johnson 18m, whose a regular for England? Baines the so called best attacking left back in world football( your words) can't get a look in!! Haha you blue noses do make me laugh

Don't you just hate christmas shopping. Told Mrs Moody we were off to the match this weekend and she asks who we're playing. I tell her and she then asks how far that is from the trafford centre. I tried to explain its to far out of the way but guess who's now taking detour's before and after the match just so she can bladder the shopping.
(very and bah humbug) Moody Blue

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Bloody hell Moody, you need to put your foot down there, mate.

Mike

Cheers Milf, just got the ground after traipsing round half of manchester, I might just forget I dropped her off and go straight home after the game, that'll teach her.

Is Leighton Baines the best left back we have had ? I liked Hinchcliffe and pointon but think Baines is world class what you guys think?

Robbie {Ed025's Note - by miles robbie..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I personally preferred Pistone...

BitterBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

What about RAY WILSON arguably the best left back in the world at his prime not as productive as bainsey or as much a goalscorer but full backs defended in his era and we had the best around coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

I seen quite a few lb's for Everton, Pointon, Hinchcliffe etc, as far back as van den Hauwe and for me Baines is the the best of the lot, quite comfortably

Agree0 Disagree0

RAY WILSON ....

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard we had a left back called Ray Wilson. He won something with England I think? He did ok in the FA Cup with Everton the same year.

And if you know your history.

Show us your medals Bainesey la.

Nostrawigus

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you all forgotten about Marc Hottiger? Absolute quality.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Terry Phelan anyone ?

Agree0 Disagree0

So going by your rationale Nostra, Baines isn't as good as Ray Wilson because he doesn't have the medals ? In that case Clichy, Evra, Kolarov etc. and our very own Phil Neville are better than Baines ?

I just read an article about us being not a good investment, also comments on why man city were better attraction for the rich Arab but while fans might think we're asking to much but since he bought man city he has spent well over 500 million on the squad and with the new training development costing a bomb was it really a better option yes any invested would need to build new ground but as for money for team there is not an awful lot that needs doing other than adding to squad were knocking on the door at becoming a top side

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Sheikhs had 3 targets before they bought City, they were City, Newcastle and Everton. Kenwright pissed them off wanting a NDA and a pest to deal with, same with Ashley asking for stupid money, which left Manchester City, and the rest is history.

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems even when were at our most attractive across europe most chances most attempts on target than any other team ie barca real madrid bayern nobody is still interested i think kenwright should at least go public with some kind of info what you think ed {Ed001's Note - Everton's lack of attractiveness is purely down to the board. They don't want to sell, just want someone to put money in to their pot. That cuts down the options, because an investor putting that kind of money in wants more say in what is done with their moolah.}
