Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

If BK did sack RM how bad would that look on him as his words this is the man to lead us to the wholly grail an guarantee champions league football. We would still have Davey boy if the lure of man u hadn't happened.BK don't ever admit he got things wrong. The stadium debacle proof of that. So onto this season of hope an belief in my team an losing loads at the bookies hahaha. After all this is Everton live, learn laugh, an cry oh the pleasures of an evertoian I love it born to die. A BLUE

Who would ya like to see come in if stones does go? who is available? Either way hope stones don't go but decent replacement ain't going to be cheap unless really an unknown like mountfield we poached from trfc
Another like that or even lescott would be great totally under the radar

So everyone here is looking at doom an gloom in pre season been a blue since 1962 seen good great an a mixture of promise an disbelief. But being an evertonian will never die. I never raise my expectations always if only but one thing makes us different is we are evertonian, born to suffer adversity an still come out smiling, born for elation but overall evertonians. We always sell our stars nut also find diamonds in the rough. We earn what we get not buy success as we never have the best pit to p in. Always I stand by the 11 who pull on my royal blue jersey.

Today Kone was that chosen one!

Stones will stay as he is defo a first team player all season (this will aldo help his England selection for the euros ); he will not at chelsea. His stock will rise and we will lose him next season. Today's performance was a disaster, I am putting down to getting to Singapore late and playing 2 games in 2 days. But saying that we looked slow and attacked slow(did we really attack or make more than 2 clear cut chances) and arsenal got all their men behind the ball. Jeez just like last year. Why did he play clevs on the left; yet again he is picking players in wrong position just to play them. Kone not good enough to wear the no 9; delefou was rubbish. Oh that's our 2 signings so far. Team not improved and the Spanish idiot said he had identified his transfer targets months ago and the season starts in 3 weeks. Worried and drinking stella

Same old same old, this team will continue to struggle against all the sides in prem this season. Desperately in need of players who can move the ball forward with a purpose arsenal in different class and that includes their fringe players, ok we might not be able to match established stars but what about the others, need manager with a plan rm seems devoid of ideas worried for us this campaign.

Will the last person to leave goodison please turn off the lights. Kenwright & Martinez have lead our once great club, into what I fear will be a terminal decline. One lacks the courage to face up to his mistaken appointment, the other is just a fraud who can only talk a good game, that has no connection to real performance.

18 Jul 2015 15:52:47
.well, who's putting bets on when Martinez will be sacked next season then?!? I reckon by November. that performance today stunk of everything that was wrong with us last season. so I take it he's learnt nothing at all. & b4 none says it's only pre-season, it's time to get real & face the reality of the situation in hand at efc - we are about to lose the best young centre back in Europe, we need a quality creative midfielder & a new centre forward whilst shipping out Kone & McGeady at the same time. & the manager too!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

18 Jul 2015 15:37:21
Embarassing that again. looks another long season. Too many players not looking interested. Bobby better get this sorted I've had enough.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

18 Jul 2015 15:36:06
It's only a pre season friendly but I didn't see anything there to suggest we are going to improve on last season. Disappointing performance from an almost full strength squad. Need some fresh faces who are good enough to take people's place in the squad now and create some competition. Go and offer Chelsea some money and take Remy off their hands, sitting there doing Nothing at them, could be a hero for us!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2015 15:33:42
I know its only pre season but Martinez already looks worried but not 1/2 as worried as me after watching a complete & utter shambles against the gooners.
Can't put it down to fitness levels just 2nd best all over the park chasing shadows against qualify opposition who are all comfortable on the ball & ran us ragged all day long.
That's wot it takes to achieve C.L.year in year out & we are were are 11th mid table team @ best with likes of Newcastle, Stoke,Swansea, palace, soton all better than us.
Our so called better players mcarthy, mirallas,Coleman made to look ordinary but Kone dear me can't put it into words how bad he was.
We sell anichebe & jellavic & bring in Kone well that just shows u wot a clown Martinez is.
I've got him down as an early favourite for the sack before we get to Oct.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

18 Jul 2015 16:23:27
I know we need to rotate players but why do we never put out two fast wide players to support the striker? Would have like to have seen Naismith play upfront with Doofee and Kev either side just to see what they could do. What was really disappointing was the lack of movement from most of the players, even if we had the most creative player in the world if no one is moving then they will just look as crap as everyone else. The only players with any real ability to find space IMO are ossie and peanuts the rest just seem to be milling about or coming short to create nice little triangles and go nowhere. very disappointing to say the least. as for Kone well!!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 16:28:57
I can't see him getting the boot before Xmas. I just hope that's not too late. Another season like last season, even at midtable, will see all of our better players leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:28:17
So RM has given the squad a fair run out over the two games, and deja vue, time to go list headed by Kone and Barry, old, slow and clueless!
so now if BK cannot see we are desperate for a No 10 creative midfielder, another Striker, CB and a new Manager.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2015 15:18:33
No creative midfielders, Barry to old, Ossie was a good under rated player, McCarthy got no goals in him, cleverly only sub material, Barkley overrated, mirallas now he has potential as have del boy.I also liked the young lad lesson.we need the artetas, pienaars(in his day), fellani, even prefer Rodwell to most of this overrated lot.we are no more than a mid table team now with no engine room and only one shooter who would be good as a heavy weight boxer.don't people look at the games played, Everton no creative players, Tottenham no defenders, arsenal no striker, man city, Everton players just for the money.

We are so far behind Arsenal it is embarrassing!!
When ever we managed to get the ball off them from one of their endless attacks we took that many needles passes just to get to the halfway line that the whole Arsenal team had walked back had a chat then got into position and waited another 5 minutes for us to get into their half
If we do not change this manager and his ridiculously 'found out' tactics we will never get out of the bottom 6 all season
We need a least, a forward with pace, a centre mid that can control a game and not just work hard as well as cover for right back & centre half
Then we need to retrain the team to pass a ball forward!!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2015 16:40:22
Give it a rest it's Arsenal not some second rate team. Like it or not they are at least 2 levels above our team, so you shouldn't even be comparing our us to Arsenal or any of the other top teams come to that.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

18 Jul 2015 15:30:11
disagree completely that Mirallas looked disinterested, always asking for the ball and tried to take responsibility. Martinez is the problem for me, not the players.

we attack too slow happy to do triangles on the halfway whilst opponents get all their men behind the
Ball. Then proceed to try and break them down. Fail . Get countered and concede.

It may be preseason but nothing has changed in terms of our failed style of play.

A few things, been a while since I posted.
1) I like that we are not at any stage playing what is our strongest XI in this Asia cup thing. Everyone needs game time that's what pre season is about.
2) this pre season seems far more organised and professional and I think the effects will be seen
3) Delboy needs something to happen for him. Seems very low on confidence but if one trick comes off I think he might be the signing of the summer
4) Stones stays end of
5)JMac is a different story. I think he is great but we need a quality 10. I think Spurs have one of the best in the league in Eriksson so that is the only deal I would do. Swap. Sod the money
6) why would we loan Garbutt? Loan Oviedo if we have to loan or sell one. The guy needs matches after his injury a season in the championship might do him wonders, Garbutt is ready now.
7) I think Galloway and Browning look great but a seasoned pro cb as back up is a must.
8) I am watching the Asia cup thing via my swedish tv package I for the 1st time have not bought my boys shirts, not paid for the pre season thing and I am yet to arrange any of my 5 trips a year to Goodison (live in Sweden) because until the club tell me where the money is I no longer trust those running it to hand over my hard earned cash. I love the club and I am signed up to the Sky tv equivalent in Sweden which shows every game live even Saturday 3 o'clocks so I contribute that way but it breaks my heart that we don't have at least 35-40 mill for recruits this summer. The sums don't add up and I want answers

In years to come Kone will be spoken about in hushed tones and compared with the great Brett Angel, his time at Everton will be considered a myth, and videos of his goal against Newcastle will be collectors items with claims that it's been altered or edited!

He absolutely terrible, has no positioning sense, no touch, can't pass, can't jump and has absolutely no idea wher the goal is! At one stage Garbutt and Clevs where out left trying to work a cross and Kone comes rambling out of the box as if he's on a Sunday stroll in the park and stands next to Garbutt, he even try's to take the ball off him!!

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Jul 2015 14:20:24
I doubt they would give up zouma but that would do it for me if we were actually allowed to spend the 25 mil. Zouma has an incredibly bright future. Obviously I think we would all prefer stones but this would be a good deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:50:06

18 Jul 2015 19:26:06

I can't see stones asking to leave in this window so if he's happy to stay bump up his wages and tell Chelsea/City to pay big or get lost

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 11:36:40
In light of the teams interested in stones, I can see him going. Whilst I would prefer that he didn't, cash is important at everton and I wouldn't hold it against key b'day, because he will be thinking stones could break his leg or not reach his potential. I just home work is taking place now to find suitable replacements. AM CD and a striker? Or could pay for a third of the goodison expansion?

Blues we sold the wig to Utd for 28 million, I don't think Stones will be going on the cheap, at least Utd and City are also interested so if he does go it will be a 3 way bidding war between the 3 richest clubs, I know we don't want to sell but money talks

Believable2 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2015 01:02:46
Why is it every year, Manchester United think they have a God given right to chase our players. I look at the squad. Baines, Coleman, Stones, Barkly, I even think Jagielka was linked with them. They snatched Fellaini and Rooney in recent times. Then we get offered off-cuts offal whatever you want to call it. In recent times we got Neville Saha and Howard (very serviceable) linked with Cleverly, Vidic, Evans, Hernandez, Kagawa and Nani. Players Man U want to dump on us and the arrogant crap think they are doing us a favour. No wonder I hate Man United so much. Then Chelsea. Always targeting one of our young guns. Go and develop some of your own and the same with Man City. When was the last time one of those two sides developed a teenager. We have developed stones, Barkly, Galloway, Mcaleny, Garbutt and Browning. And I'm sure all will be very very good players.

So sick and tired of agents and poachers!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

18 Jul 2015 07:56:39
Boy you're angry aren't you? Let's Manila few of these myths.

United are linked with 100s of players, most of whom we have no interests in. Why? Agents, lazy journalism I guess. This window, we have been linked with about 35 players which is clearly nonsense.

You are referring to Neville and Howard as cast offs? Are you saying they wee not great players for you? Every club signs other club's cast offs. Mata wasn't wanted by Chelsea, ADM wasn't wanted by Real Madrid, it happens to all clubs. The way you talk we forced you to purchase our players and Everton had no choice in it, As for Cleverly, good luck with that one (although you got him on a free).

Yes we wanted Baines and apparently Coleman. I don't believe we have show any interest in Stones or Barkley.

You should be proud your club create such talent but worried why you don't compete and some of them leave.

18 Jul 2015 00:10:58
Okay, so from what I've seen and heard Stones seems a level headed lad. Last year when interviewed he was asked where he sees himself in three years and he said ideally captaining Everton. Only yesterday he said he was extremely happy and pleased to be learning his trade from more senior players. Everton have stated that they don't want to or need to sell any player. So and here's the crux of it, we are unless something drastic happen going to lose him at some point and therefore the question is what do our board think he's worth and how would that compare with what we as fans think he's worth. For me as a fan and if I was a board member I would be saying play the long game thinking that after the Euros if he progresses as it looks like he will clubs will be starting at double/treble the £20mil offered today. My main worry is our board aren't as forward thinking as I am and we'll sell him for what seems like a decent 30/35 million. Ps I know everyone thinks we should be asking more than the £49mil that Sterling went for but in all honesty you won't get that for a defender in the current climate?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

18 Jul 2015 08:23:52
I think you have haven't read my statement below that defenders just don't go for them prices, we're talking Ramos money for a player still developing it just won't happen, if you think he's a player from someone else what you actually say he's worth if he played for another a team I think swe need to get back yo reality

.well I'm gutted, but I'm quite sure that Stones will be gone b4 the start of the new season.Chelski are willing to pay the £35 million that Everton would accept whilst trebling his current wage packet at the same time. It's interesting that Bobby thus far has come out & said under no uncertain terms this morning that McCarthy is going nowhere at any price & wants to build our team around the guy therefore quashing any rumours on that 1.but silence remains on Stones, nothing yet said, I'm gutted as I rate Stones very very highly - in fact I said at the start of last season I reckon he is the best young centre back in Europe & reminded me of a certain 'Paulo Maldini' on the ball & he was destined to become captain of Everton & England long term.please Bill, don't let him go, this guy us irreplaceable!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

18 Jul 2015 07:44:02
I can't stand the idea of John Stones becoming one of the world's best defenders at another club. It shows a lack of ambition if we sell, and means that we will forever remain in the exact same position as we are now, and will never progress. It's even more annoying that despite the fact we aren't desperate for the money, Bill will still probably cave at about £30m. I could just about stomach it if we sold him at £50m, as that is a good price, and enough to really improve the squad. That being said, what we ideally need to do is tie him down to a much improved contract and make him vice captain, with a view to take over when Jags retires. That may be enough to keep hold of him for a couple of years, and won't do his career any harm at all. That lad is destined to win trophies no matter what
