Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

18 Jul 2014 22:00:20
.". well, this is all getting frustratingly boring now! Are we ever going to sign anybody else b4 the end of the window? So much activity going on with other clubs, even the dark side have somehow managed to get 14 million for the Borini rubbish. wonder what's really going on behind the scenes, & where is all that money we've got to spend gone Bill? I hope there's a good ending to all of this for us blues or else there's going to b some very very unhappy fans. so far all we have managed of any note is a 3 yr deal for a 33 yr old who's legs & body could pack in at any time! :(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ahhhh relax my fellow blue, I guarantee that there will be new signings and they will improve the squad. It's like this, when other clubs bring in players it may mean existing players for that club are now available in one way or another. As this happens, there could be a striker that becomes available that fits the bill for our beloved blues. The transfer window is a process that involves strategy, timing, and luck. Yes the reds have struck early in their signings, but have they moved too early? In the coming weeks will their be another player that would have made a greater impact. Griezmann and Lallana spring to mind. Complain after the window has finished otherwise you will look a bit of an person when we make decent signings, I learned the hard way.

Is Besic signing soon or has the deal broken down?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - still in abeyance TAO..

18 Jul 2014 20:27:41
I love the post when people say we have say 40m to spend so they spend 40m on transfers but seem to leave the wages out of the budget for some reason they have no clue, saw one list of player one post would like to see sign and it was 45m I just don't think they relise if you have a 45m budget for that transfer window that it includes wages still as long as there not involved in business we are safe

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2014 23:57:19
Very patronising mate
but the problem with your analogy is you make it sound like we have to pay the wages up front in case you didn't understand players get paid monthly, and at a club like ours we very rarely bring players in with out selling at least one so this more or less balances out. Obviously wages go up but so does TV revenue that's why we employ accountants so it's a good job your not doing business for us either to be honest
Don't believe the hype

Hi ed what's the chances of getting lukaku, bobby seems relaxed about situation

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Everton have a good chance, but my feeling is that if he can't sort his differences out with Chelsea then he will move abroad}

Thank you for a straight answer ed13 it is appreciated. I also happen to think he'll go abroad. I'd be disappointed if he chose Wolfsburg over us though I must say. Juve or Athletico I could understand but think Wolfsburg would be a step sideways and I'd like to think his time here last season would sway us over them.

Bacca seems the only name doing the rounds, apart from besic of coursebut we are no nearer to signing him than a week ago. Let's face it, Lukaku doesn't fancy us and Bony has other 'bigger' options. I said last week I was getting concerned (and was criticised for it) but I reiterate my concerns. Come on Bill and Bob!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Personally I think we could b in with a good chance with either player if any of the bigger clubs were really interested in them I think maybe they would of made a move for them by now between the two at the moment I think bony is prob the better player at the moment but lukaku is younger and the potential is great his signing would b a win win situation as I'm sure if we did sell him on at a later date it would and could b a large profit I'm hopeing it's a done deal and when he is back from hols then it will b announced fingers crossed

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice touch, I would like to add to that by offering my condolences to the families of everybody who was aboard that plane! If frustrates me when the news and papers report tragedies like this and make a point of saying how many Brits were affected! Shouldn't matter about the peoples nationalities they were all human. Very sad time for all involved!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post. i'm a north east lad and its a real kick in the teeth up here. The 2 men travelled everywhere to watch the club they loved, home, away, reserve and academy matches R.I.P to all who lost their lives.

Man Utd not wanting to keep Javier Hernandez and looking to offload. Heard Martinez is keen. Think we should go for him Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan to be honest stevie, good impact sub, but im looking for a forward who can give us 20+ goals a season, and i dont think thats him mate..

Im with you on that one ed, good impact player at best and never will be a 20 goals a season player. If possible why not have a poll on the subject to see how many blues agree with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not for me neither. Most definitely won't get us 20 a season

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he would to be honest he has always been mainly used as a sub but never had a fair crack at starting games at the right price I would love him such a threat in the box and his movement is class knows where to be

We need a striker who is big and powerful, hernandez is neither, he also has a woeful first touch and seems to get the ball deflected off his knee or something and he gets the goal, and mate, he hasn't started a lot of games but when he has, he's failed, no tar

post to Woburnblue.
Enjoy your 4 weeks "Everton free" sail round the Med, but if you get withdrawal symptoms
(and you will) tie up in Torrevieja, get down the road to Campoverdi. We had 6 months their, residential area all ex pats retired.I found "JONNY'S BAR" for a local watering hole, good food & vino at 1euro a glass.
More important, Jonny's got all the live matches all the time(thr'o one of these Arab channels)Never missed a live game in 6 months, also group of blueboys, great crak on matchdays.
I thought I'd found heaven until the wife starts banging on about the kids & grandkids.Still you can always "jump ship"

Everton have signed young irish striker sam Bryne following his release from Manchester United ed do you see any more signings over the weekend

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i really cant guess adam...sorry..

What do you think that tells us about how our other young strikers are rated?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2014 14:37:44
I think it tells us we need another lad in there, with vellios gone, hope, duffus and long are the only young strikers we have, mcaleny is obviously going to play a part in the first team this coming season and maybe we need another one in there, or maybe bobby doesn't rate one of hope, long or duffus or maybe he sees something in him, could mean anything sid, we will see in the next couple of seasons, I just hope they all make the step up so we have a whw host of options

For anyone worried about our lack of transfer activity - Bobby told us not to expect anything soon. I'm normally so frustrated with our lack of movement in the transfer market but this year I'm not because he let us all know.

"The right characters need to come to the club. It is going to take until the last day of the window to finalise the squad. It is a World Cup year and things will get delayed and certain situations will be worth us waiting until the last second to see if they happen or not and that is something we are well in control of" - Roberto Martinez, 19th May.

Deadline day it is then.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great post Mike. Characteristic is the most important.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good thinking so wait till 11 on deadline and hope there's 20 goal a season striker poeple are trying to offload if not there's always January, I doubt that's his plan

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't buy into this world cup year rubbish. There's loads of players all been in the world cup and moved to new clubs. Doesn't wash with me.

Getting a little bored of all this Lukaku saga. If the lad doesn't want to come let's just wish him well and move on

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2014 10:15:35
Just been told that Lukaku has turned us down and he won't be coming so we are moving for other targets. How true this is I don't know I'm only passing on what I've been told from someone who SAYS they know someone within the club. I want to make it clear I'm not ITK I'm just passing on the info I've been told. The lad who told me is a staunch blue and has no reason to lie to me nor has ever come out with anything like this before so make of it what you will.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would take any rumours with a pinch of salt but if true so be it . No player is bigger than our great club and their are plenty of other strikers out there .He is not our player so no loss to us .

Agree0 Disagree0

My sentiments exactly mAte, if he doesn't want to come sod him. As I said I'm by no means ITK but that's what he said, he has no reason to make it up and he is most definitely not the type of person to do it and he's as gutted as the rest of us so draw your conclusions from that I suppose. Tbh I never really inn my heart thought he would sign, I think we are or were his safety net so to speak and you're absolutely spot on, no one is bigger than the club. Bigger and better than him have come and gone and still will.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good of lukaku to ring Kevin from the kitchen staff to let him know he wasn't coming

Agree0 Disagree0

@mikedeblue. There's always one smart arse isn't there. Incase it had escaped your notice this is a rumour site were people post rumours! If no one did there wouldn't be much point reading here would there. If you read the post I was very careful to point out I don't claim to be ITK and explain exactly where it come from, if it's true it's true, if not I've been told duff info, so what! If I'd of put "lukaku deal off taps nose" or something similar pretending to be some insider I could understand your comment but Inever. It's people like you that stop genuine people posting stuff.

Got a question for you guys if you have time.
What do you guys think of your acadamy? Personally, I am really happy with ours with the likes of Sterling, Ibe, Flannagan and Suso coming through and looking impressive. Besides Barkley, is there anyone who you can see having such an impact as the likes of Sterling and Flanno have had for us?

Thanks lads

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not really the academy when you buy them. so liverpool have one

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2014 11:10:56
Sterling was from QPR's Academy not Liverpool's if I'm not mistaken?

I believe that Ryan Ledson will have a good future, looks a propect.

Others that should have a future would be Lundstram, Browning
and maybe Hope. With George Green not far behind them.

Agree0 Disagree0

@BradEFC You can't point out to the guy about Stirling being from the QPR Acedemy then go on to list George Green who we all know we got from the Bradford academy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair point mike..

Most players move acadamies, bringing them through would involve first team action, which we gave to the ones I listed. Do you know if Martinez will be starting to bring through some of these youngsters next season? I have been impressed with how barkley and stones have developed under him, could hold well for the national squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would like to see them get a run out in the europa OLR, i think its the perfect opportunity to give them a chance, even if its just coming on as a sub..

18 Jul 2014 15:16:13
haha I didn't mean to include him in the academy bit, just meant he's a youngster close to the first team

Agree0 Disagree0

If I was in your shoes, I would rather a stronger squad in the Europa League that the League Cup. I think the Europa should be used to help develop some of your current starters, like Barkley and Stones, against teams that play differently to the English game. Kids will learn more playing against a championship team as they play with more fight that a Romanian 2nd place team for example.

A bit of news from the official site:

The seven players to commit from Kevin Sheedy's side - victors over Manchester City in May's Under-18 championship final - are goalkeeper Russell Griffiths (aged 18), defenders Jonjoe Kenny (17), Curtis Langton and Gethin Jones (both 18), midfielders Joe Williams and Harry Charsley and forward Calum Dyson (all 17).

Kenny, a European Championship winner with England Under-17s earlier this summer, and fellow Liverpudlian Williams have both signed three-year deals, keeping them at Goodison Park until at least the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

Griffiths, Charsley and Dyson have agreed terms for two years, while Jones and Langton have penned one-year deals.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old striker Sam Byrne has arrived at Finch Farm on a free transfer having left Manchester United's academy in May after three years.

A Republic of Ireland Under-19 international with seven goals in 10 outings, the Dublin-born striker also spent 13 games on loan at League One Carlisle United last season, scoring once.
