Caught up with the last couple of episodes of 'the Everton show' on youtube, worth a watch if you have a spare half our or so. David Unsworth was a guest, along with Snods, giving his thoughts on his U23 squad as well as the first team. What struck me most was the level of professionalism that is drilled into the kids, they get involved in all things Everton not just playing and training. Football has come a long way from the YTS days, where the youngsters had to clean boots, the dressing room and the ground after a home game! We have a few gems in Rhino's squad, let's hope they can make the grade and that we see a few more coming through the ranks. All those involved in coaching these lads deserve a big pat on the back, we definitely have one of the best youth structures in the league which is reflected in their position right now. Finally, I've not noticed Cowpat Sid posting on these pages of late, he usually gives us his take on the squad numbers etc after a transfer window. Hope all is well with him.

Just like to say I think the biggest thing I've noticed is the confidence is back, just like back when moyes made goodison a fortress, now we are starting to play the koeman way, it's all starting to take shape, think in the summer,3/ 4 New faces we can have a real good go at the top 4,don't like all the negative stuff from people, things take time, next season if it all goes tits up then moan but not this season.

It won't go tits up though. In Koeman we have a proven winner who enjoys International respect and importantly the respect of his Squad. With the other guy, we (well me and a few others) just knew he was a disaster waiting to happen. Why the heck he was given a contract extension at the end of just one season is beyond me.
