We all know, the team is playing poorly at the moment and that most of the team are under performing. Myself like everyone else expected a lot more this season and were all massively dissapointed but what good is constantly tearing the team to the bits going to do. People making songs up about how bad we are and even worse people suggesting Martinez should go, are you mad!! Were 11th and with a good run could easily climb the table, most teams have a five or six game run sometime in the season, are time will come and when it does things will look a lot better when that happens. I'm tired of reading posts off supposed evertonian's slagging are team and manager off, it's embarrassing to read. We all accept things aren't going well but they'll get a lot worse if we boo are own players and slag them off. let's get behind the team and the manager and have a good xmas on and off the pitch. COYB 💙

Hmmmmmmm I wonder who this post is aimed at. Any ideas?

dude we have had a run recently, didn't do very well, imo this is a mirror image of wigan, check the stats uncanny, we have lost too many games against the teams we need and should be winning, we alsoi have the 3rd worst defence in the league. I have said time and time agin, rm done this with wigan, record first season, struggle everyone after, everyone was excited after last season, this is the season that really counts for me, he is too nice guy, his team selection has me baffled at times, no plan B. if you dissagree that's your choice but I would advise you take the blue tinted glasses off for a moment and have a real look!

Good post real

All Evertonians want the team to do well, and the regular bloggers tend to be. realistic in their assessment of our performances so far. This season in terms of team set up, tactics and tempo of play we haven't got out of first gear, which allows the opposition more than enough time to counter any forward threat.
My concern is Roberto doesn't seem to be seeing the same performances as the supporters.
So whilst we all hope the next game will kick start the season, we need to bear in mind the seasons nearly half way through and entrusting our fortunes to purely optimism and hope is certainly a recipe for disappointment.
Frustratingly, the solution lies squarely on RM shoulders and I hope he starts realising the magnitude of his responsibilty.

Seasons Greetings and Happy Christmas Gloom Merchants - here's a song for you.
Have ya'self a Merry Little Christmas
From now on our hopes will be miles away
Here we are as in olden days, Happy Golden Days of yor
Friends who are no longer fear us, gather near to us once more
In the Christmas we will be free falling together if the fates allow
Hang a shiny wish upon the highest Goodison's tier
Have ya'self a merry little Christmas now
Through the years we will all be together if the fates allow
Hang a shiny star upon the Goodison's highest bough

In the meantime, my granddaughter (2 and a bit) wants a Hippopotamus for Christmas, and I'd bet she gets one before we all start saying waht a good manager we have and how brillantly we played.

Torontotoffeeman: Nice post that, mate!

Eds: Who started all these song parodies? Our fans seem pretty good at them! :-)

Without wishing another barrage from fellow Blues, here is something to contemplate that might just make things seem a little better. It does involve the red side, so those who would rather not hear, please divert to another post:
The previous 2 American owners of LFC invested over 200 million pounds in new players and were then promptly shown the door. This was over a 2 year period. The current American owners came in and so far have also invested about 200 million in players. My sums (which ain't too good) make that an investment of 400 million over 4 years. At the same time, we have bought cheap and sold expensively. All in all we have probably just about broke even. After all this difference of investment, take a look at the league table and see if things really are so bad for us.

To relate to that though degsy, look how much the likes of Southampton, West Ham and Swansea have spent, respective of their league positions

Very true, Bloo. But let's judge at the end of the season. I remember Norwich Birmingham and a few other Championship sides having good runs in seasons gone by. let's see where Southampton, West Ham and Swansea are at the end. We have out performed them for the last 10 seasons I think.

With all the doom and gloom about how awful we are, cheer yourself up with a Christmas sing song.

1, 2, 3, 4

It's beginning to look a lot like 6 pointers,
Every game I go,
Take a look at our 5 and 10,
both on their arses again,
With an awful defence and Barry that is so slow.

It's beginning to look a lot like 6 pointers,
A clown is in our goal,
But the prettiest sight to see,
Is the hope that will be,
Clevs will sign quite soon.

A pair of centre halfs and a forward that shoots,
Is the wish of Mike and Swan,
players that pass the ball for the sake of it,
Is the hope of The Catalan Clown,
And Degsy can't wait until Osman starts again.

It's beginning to look a lot like 6 pointers,
Every game I you go,
There's a lump in the oppos box
One in our goal aswell
Theres a reason why we are so poor.

It's beginning to look a lot like 6 pointers
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that'll make them ring,
Is the worry that they bring,
As we lose once more.

It's beginning to look a lot like 6 pointers,
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that'll make them ring,
Is the worry that they bring,
As we lose once more.

It's beginning to look a lot like 6 pointers,
A clown is in our goal,
But the prettiest sight to see,
Is the hope that will be,
Clevs will sign quite soon.

Merry Christmas
