What a pity that the away fans behaved so badly last night. It must make those fans who intend travelling to Split very anxious. This is even more disappointing as Split is a fantastic place. I'm going to be in Croatia just after the game and had been disappointed to have missed it! Not any more. Just watched a compilation of their fans behaviour- very worrying. Just shows you can never judge a place on your holiday experiences alone. I've always found the Croatian people to be friendly and very hospitable. I just hope our fans get to meet the good guys.

We are a British team and you no they cannot wait to throw us out of any competition, if it was Barcelona or Madrid it would be a different story.

So, a gang of eastern euopean thugs, come to our ground, attach our staff, ballboys, and supporters, and where in trouble, please could someone make seance of this for me!

We have one accusation to answer they have four I think. It’s clear who’s in deep trouble here, so very little to worry about.

Its because we are an English club, maybe if we had stone age fans who still do monkey noises like the Italians do we would be better respected. UEFA is and always has been a joke, the whole UEFA, FIFA set up needs a major overhaul.

Can anyone come up with a descent striker out there that we could get before the window opens, just cannot see any club selling there best striker this late on unless we pay big money, I think we may have to look at someone who isn't first choice, welbeck looks about as good as it gets, Boni is another but he's going to need time to get back into it, hardly played, slimani is another and he's be my choice.

For a bit of a risky gamble, Zahore from Cardiff. CL experience, two footed, fast, strong, good in the air. AC. Milan and Fiorentina as a kid. Now at Cardiff who just turned down 10m from Hull. He ticks most boxes but no experience in top flight?

For an Evertonians who has followed Everton during the early seventies, it took me just three games to think wow Southall is going to be something special that was an away midweek fixture at Birmingham City, have admired a few goalies since then, in Pickford I can now say wow again, this guy is something special, from catching a ball, commanding his area, making saves and distribution we have got one hell of a goalkeeper there, the Days of dreading corners or crosses from opposition have gone for me first time in a while last night I had total confidence in a goalkeeper.

Don't forget his distribution. That half volley kick to DCL other night was fantastic. Did the same for England at u21 euros but ball was on the deck. He's definitely got something about him.

The way he screamed at Rooney for giving the ball away and putting defence under pressure was what I liked. The lad is nails.

Very exciting isn't he. As said above, he isn't afraid to let the players know who's boss either!

Was like he's been playing for us for years. Wasnt completely over the moon with the signing initially but he looks the part already no doubt and hope it long continues.

I think that the club did a great thing in showing yesterdays game on U-tube. I live in the US and watched the game full screen on an i-Mac. The quality was first class with no interruptions or picture quality issues through the whole game. Evidently it was watched by over 90,000 people. Seeing I had no other way of seeing the match the club made my day.

Previous streaming attempts by the club usually had technical troubles, but yesterday's match on YouTube was broadcast pretty much flawlessly. They clearly have the systems, the capacity and the expertise to handle that number of live viewings.

Eds are Everton likely to face punishment for last night crows trouble Even though it was exclusively hajduk fans perpetuating the violence and the stewards were excellent in controlling the outbreak. Not sure what EFC as a club could have done better.

Everton have been charged with throwing objects mate.

I am not condoning any part that Everton fans may have had in the disturbances, but if UEFA come down as hard on Everton as they do on Hajduk Split it will be ridiculous. Hajduk Split have already been sanctioned and fined for the fans behavior this season including racial chants. I just hope that any Everton fans who go to the away leg come home safe and well.

A couple of plastic bottles were thrown back from the Park Stand so I'm guessing a small fine, stewards and police were brilliant last night, fully expect the return leg played behind closed doors, I fear for any fellow Evertonians having to attend the away leg. One another note Celtic got thrown out of the cup winners cup in 85 for a bottle being thrown, that last night was far worse and common sense should play that game in an empty stadium, if not it will explode over there second leg.

Sorry apologies missed out Celtic had to replay the tie they already won, losing 1 nil in the rearranged tie due to the bottle incident.

Really excited about last night and promise shown for future. Thought I would check reaction on News now during lunch and every article is about Rooney having baby COYB - Still beats seeing Swansea demanding 50m lol.

Great to see the players are starting to gel but I feel they are miles off still which makes me almost delirious with excitement about just how good they can be!
Few more weeks and games and Koeman will have them sorted!

Flattered to deceive, sorry to put a dampner on it. Loved the build up play but like quite a few other Clubs in our little league 7, 8,9,10ish, no end product per build up.

Rooney missed a couple that he should have put away, but the lack of a top drawer CF was evident. The number of teams we were caught offside was frustrating. Whether that's down to a lack of sharpness or lack of pace, time will tell.

Lookman, Martina, Keane and Pickford were huge positives for me though. Thought all had very good game.

What is with the Diego Costa question to Koeman? If there is even the slightest chance to grab him until January I would grab it with both hands. Its a win win, we get a class player without the hassle of keeping him happy long term as he has a bit of an attitude, what you can't dispute is the talent he has. Costa, Rooney, Sandro and Sig, now that is some serious talent at the front.

What do you do in January? We need to think about getting in someone longer term. The baggage this guy brings and poor attitude could break up the harmony in the squad. Not for me.
