Believable2 Unbelievable1

No chance in signing all of them. I reckon we're hopefully get a couple of them though which I'd be well chuffed with

Very strong hints on Twitter Man Utd gonna bid sone explosive bid for Baines. I know he's happy with us but you never know. Hoping he don't get turned, we don't need this right now. Thoughts?....... Fin

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Not gonna happen just trying to unsettle us b4 the game monday

Agree0 Disagree0

It would have to be a crazy bid of over 20 million, i just can't see it happening, baines is very happy and everton don't want to sell

Everton Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Man utd supporters in the press and elswere trying to distrupt preparation for the game probably hint at a poxy 8mill bid and back out tuesday hope we rub their noses in it monday. coyb. thgfest

Agree0 Disagree0

Dm said he did not need to sell rodwell but decided that it was right for the club and player therefore we do not need to sell baines unless he wants to leave i do not think he will believe this is the best move for him with the world cup only two years away he will want regular high profile first team football to show roy what we already know best left back in the world do not fear people we are blue we are EVERTON sing it loud sing it proud....grbefc

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the man utd servile press trying to unsettle a key player ahead of the game on monday, they just hope to antagonise the crowd toward him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry about it mate. Baines will be wearing the blue shirt next season. Moyes has done his selling now. He's bringing people in to make us stronger.

Have a look at yourselves you embarrasing people, looked through the site and the last 15/20 posts have been about Liverpool. Why do we have to class these people as 'fans'? It's discusting, we're Everton, stop going on about Liverpool!

Believable4 Unbelievable5

It's a banter page. Get over it. Ps I'm looking forward to Motd

Agree0 Disagree0

Because its funny laughing at the deluded reds, join in its fun, we love everton, hate liverpool

Everton Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Part of footballs appeal is the competitive rivalry between fans. Go on to any fan site and you will see plenty of posts about that teams rivals, we are no exception. I have just payed a visit to a red site who have plenty to say regarding both ourselves and Man Utd despite us not having played yet. What gives you the right to determine what fans post about especially when our rivals lose 3-0 on the opening Saturday of the season.

Popeye

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate but it is inevitable really. At least they're keeping it on here tho. Don't like it when the R/S come on here, or we go on theirs. Just makes it difficult for the Eds to filter out the crap.

Wizard of Osman

Just because some people are killing time til monday by wallowing in the rs misery, doesnt make them lesser fans than you

So they are all saying on their site

in an ideal world where we have a chunk of money to spend but not stupid money, I would also take Dempsey, Charlie Adam and Naughton, could probably get the lot for just over £ 1m
ok I know we have limited budget but think of the options if we got those 3 on top of the Mirallas and Niang options...

Ed on the debate about whether if we sign someone this weekend could they play against the mancs I don't think they can, your right about the office hrs but are match was originally meant to be on saturday but was moved cos of sky, so this game even though monday night is classed as a 1st weekend fixture, that's my understanding of it probably wrong I usually am.

Liverpool's year this season................ Where I have heard that before?? Oh yes, that right I heard it in 1990........... and 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 2010 remember last season? I heard one say "Give Kenny 2 years and we'l be challenging for the title again" haha there great for entertainment aren't they, went the betting shop before heard one saying " Rodgers knows his stuff, top 4 this season then we'l be back to haunt the mancs next season" haha I nearly broke me ribs laughing.

This shows a stament of intent IMO!

The loan deals sound a winner for those players IF they can be recalled at any time, which if they go with limited wages paid by the loaning club, this should be possible. At least then, while we have a fully fit team, they get match practise and if we hit an injury crisis, the required players come back in having played competitive games for the past 3 months.

If Barkley & Gueye go I think it is a huge signal that Mirallas & Johnston (loan, or another winger) are absolutely definite to join in the next few days.

Dont think Dempsey is in the hunt if we sign Niang.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

True mate. Seems like a win win situation. As you say, it would be ideal if they can be recalled at any time, which I think they usually can.

Mirallas AND Johnson... Wow.... Can you imagine those two included in what we already have?! I'll say again....Wow!

Arsenal set to lose Song to Barcelona over the weekend. Wenger has Fellaini has his top target to replace him. GO AWAY!

Believable2 Unbelievable7

They want Baines aswell, to replace Gibbs

Agree0 Disagree0

If fellaini goes, which he won't, moyes has plans to bring in n'zonzi from blackburn... i know he's nowhere as good as felli, but if he was to enter everton, after a bit he would be a star, however, fellaini ain't going anywhere!

Just noted a difference this season to David Moyes than the David "miserable" "negative" Moyes from last season.
Asked in press conference last season "how do you see the game going" everytime he would answer "it's a tough games for us, it's going to be hard and a struggle"
Yesterday was asked the question about game vs Man United his reply this season "It will be a tough game for Man United coming to Goodsion on the first game of the season"
Only a little thing but shows the mood he is in compared to last season, get this Mirallas deal wrapped up and get one more player in, hopefully a winger and top 6 should be our aim (at least)

Just a thought, but with the imminent arrival of Mirrallas
looking likely i startdd to wonder what/who next. I still think
we need a top class man middle of the park pulling the strings
a playmaker. I have french relation and discussed this with them. 3 years back Yoan Gourcuff was the next big thing but it just hasnt happened for him. This guy is crying out for a fresh
start. The french media dubbed him as the heir to Zidanes crown think the pressure ruined him. Anyways as a said at the start just a thought!!!

Don't know if there's any truth in the barkley to shef wed rumour, personally I hope not cos I think it would leave us a bit light in that position, but saying that if he goes then if anyone other than moyesy can help him develop its dave jones, I played for stockport at youth level when he was a coach there and he is superb, and a massive evertonian so he'd want to help us long term as well, so if he goes on loan he could do worse, but as I said I hope he doesn't go and gets some playing time with us.
Ste c {Ed025's Note - good post that ste...i agree with all of it mate..

My team for Monday night
Howard
Hibbo jags distin baines
Osman felli Gibson pienaar
Naismith
Jelly

I think that's our best 11 as it stands if we sign this mirallas bloke then stick Naismith on the right wing and mirallas up top with jelly to give us se much needed pace! Quality side!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Naismith on the wing for me - osman in the hole

Agree0 Disagree0

Heitanga for distin in this game for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heitanga is faster than Distin, thus marking RVP better I think...

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville will start. hope hibbert does though, prefer him

CP

Agree0 Disagree0

Distin may be older then Heigtinga but if youve ever watched closely Distin is faster when a player breaks past Baines or Neville Distin always sprints alongside then and usually gets a good foot in on them
