Just read the plaudits surrounding Martin Margetson's goalkeeping coaching skills.
Can I make a suggestion that will improve Jordan's considerable shot saving skill.
I have noticed an unnatural movement that restricts his reach. Jordan tends to cross arms when going for shots. Difficult to explain but I'll try -when a goal bound effort is to his left, as the goal on Saturday, he tries to reach the ball by crossing his right arm across his chest thus losing between 18"" to 24" of reach as well as taking a split second longer to contort his body and arm and hand.
If fellow bloggers are still confused, try falling to your left and try to break your fall by putting your right hand across and down to break your fall. You'll hit the deck before you can so don't try it!

Just tried it and broke my wrist. Cheers mate.

Akin to trying to run round the ball in order to get your good (natural) side on it, defenders in particular even at Prem level get caught far to often in possession because of this weakness.

There was an interview with David Seaman saying that he liked him a lot and was very impressed except for his strong arms, because he reckons he's watched him when he should be turning shots around the posts. But because of his wrist strength, he often deflects back into the box.

He's a young keeper who is brilliant and won't peak for another 5 years. Im glad he's our no1. But he does have a lot of room for improvement.

I get the personal problems you lot have with your manager but I don't get the criticisms of what he's done for you this year. You were in peril and he's dragged you up the table, it may not have been pretty but he got the job done. If you do sack him I kinda hope it comes back to bite you an the a*se.

Putneyred you should stick to the Liverpool page as you clearly have no idea can you explain just what he has done for us as I'm guessing you believe the so called pundits who would have you believe that we where 20 points adrift at the bottom well let's see we where 13th when Sam came in and then he rode the wave of unsworth work since then he has done nowt but play for draws and looking to hit 40 points while talking crap at every opportunity so go back to the Liverpool page and talk crazy on there please.

Stick to the reds page with that type of statement, mate. Even seen Everton play under him? Dire. Absolute drivel. Beaten the teams we're expected to beat, that's all. Unsworth would have done the same job. All the best in the Semi's.

But you were worse before him. If it wasn't Allerdyce and was just A N Other in charge I'd be astonished at how you're treating him.

Agree0 Disagree4

18 Apr 2018 14:40:20
Hardly worse. It was a panic hire. He's an arrogant manager that takes the plaudits when we win but shifts the blame when we lose. Blames fans. Blames players. Doesn't understand the club one bit. The antipathy of Everton Football Club.

Slow down Putney Red. The way your lot treated Roy Hodgson was no better. Bottom line is that if fans aren’t happy with the football then they dig out the manager and your lot are no different. Hypocrites.

my mate is a groundsman at Everton and while Hodson was manager before a derby game at the old lady carra and Gerrard where walking around the pitch he said Hodson walked over and said alright boys he said they both ignored him and just walked straight past him he said it was disgusting Roy Hodson got sh*t on from a great height at Liverpool from the players to the tourist fans with their bring king Kenny back and he is on here trying to condemn us for the way we are treating Sam you can't make this stuff up.

Putney Red not everyone on the site slags SA off some just give constructive criticism about what they think has been happening. To be fair he has done what he has been asked to do but the football played has not been great. He should be given at least some credit for moving us up the table but not much. I actually didn't think we were in that much trouble anyway with our injuries and hard start at the beginning of the season always thought we would finish in and around the top 8 and still do.

18 Apr 2018 20:52:30
I think they’re all honest answers. SA90 makes good points I agree. But the problem is your judging the situation with dirty hands. Honestly to wish us ill on the basis of our opinion on SA is pathetic. You had the opportunity to deliver a good point and blew it with your last sentence.

If you want our respect which must be the case as you’ve taken the trouble to comment on the Everton page, then do a decent job of it. Don’t be bitter, that’s our job. Be a fan of football first and a fan of your club second. That’s how to get respect when you decide to cross over to other clubs pages.

The school of science will teach you that.

It’s sad guys I know. But this is a by-product of the premier league. I’ve never known football to be like this. There’s even talk of the top six having a greater share of the TV money than the other 14. Now if anything will ruin this game more it will be that idea.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2018 17:40:14
toffee ace haven't the clubs got to vote on that in which case it will never happen.

18 Apr 2018 18:28:27
Yes they have BLUEY, but they’ll probably complain that they are contributing more as they are the ones the overseas nations want to watch. Also they could threaten to get revenue elsewhere like a break off league. The sad fact remains that they will probably get some sort of gain out of it and the other 14 will just have to suck it up. As I say, this league has changed football, and not always for the food sadly mate.

Keep reading about how mirrallis does want to come back to us, personally if I never saw him again it would be still to soon, he is where the standard of football is a lot lower and that's his standard, not the standard everton expects from it's players, good ridence. And if you read any of this mirrallis you never was good enough for our great club.

I only clicked disagree purely on his performances before his Surez injury, after that he was never the same player again, form and attitude wise.

I honestly don't get what the club hopes to achieve with the questions regarding allardyce on the survey.

I'm pretty certain 95% of fans will score home a 1 or 2 just because we are so pi**ed off with the fact he's even Are manager in the first place.

He's done what was required so you would have to say he probably deserves a 6 for turning it around during the Christmas period.

But yeah as I said I'm pretty sure the results will be indicative of the fact nearly every fan dislikes him as a man and a manager rather than a true reflection of his performance especially early on.

Regardless there is no way he can be in charge next season anyway.

{Ed001's Note - will the other 5% give a 0 then?}

Think it's just PR, mate, Bill is good at that, will they let us know the results? A big no.

I'm in that 5% ED01 ha ha and it's not because he was appointed our manager I have made no secret of the fact I hate the guy but when he came in he had my support and he proved me correct he is a terrible manager and I will be surprised if anyone gives him 2 or above.

{Ed001's Note - so that's a yes, as you loved her enough to marry a younger version of her that will eventually turn into her when she gets older. I bet that's cheered you up looking forward to the future now.}

He has done what was expected with the help of some very poor teams below us, how the hell we are still ninth shows how poor the rest below us are.

He was one very lucky manager early doors, soft penalties our way, penalties missed by opponents, woodwork rattled more times than a police raid on a brothal by opponents, we picked points up against lesser teams who to be fair
Played better than ourselves.

The 1-1 draw last week and putting a defender on instead of going for it was the last straw for me, has a as long as we do not get beat mentality, rather settle for a point than try for three.

Just going back on what bignev has said. I think if we did didn't have Pickford there's a strong chance we would be fighting relegation. He is one of the main reasons we are so high up. Not Sam or his style of play. Get Sam gone asap. I'd get rid now and let Big Dunc or Rhino take the rains for the rest of the season. Cut that cancer out.
