I just read an article linking us to Kelechi Iheanacho. I would love for it to happen, but I'm not sure if he is ready to be the main striker for a team pushing for champions league football. Have you heard anything/ have any thoughts Ed?

Whenever I've seen him he's made me sit up and take notice, always a good sign. Be very happy with this deal if it came to fruition.

I think he would be a great signing if Lukaku stays, but we would need another striker should Lukaku leave. Either way I'm a big fan of his and I would be interested to see how he progresses given more game time. If he builds upon his current potential then the £20m quoted could be a bargain!

And another one who would be off to the African Nations Cup every two years. Great player but unless we have a much improved depth of strength in the squad, when the likes of him, Bolasie, Gana depart for the ANC you're ripping the guts out of th squad.

I think it could only be a good move for all concerned parties. He doesn't seem to be in Pep's plans with chances few and far between for him after the arrival of Jesus. Even before that, Guardiola didn't seem to trust him enough to give him game time alongside Aguero, perhaps because he demands so much more from his forwards 'outside the box' and it is clear that Iheanacho is a penatly box striker. Everton would be getting a promising player who has proven he can score goals in the league when called upon. All I can say is make it happen!

Just watched man utd play on sky sports and Rooney looks a shadow of the player he once was.
I think we should let him go to USA or China.

I said it 2 years ago and I'll say it again Rooney is not the same player he was, he's bored at Utd he has not been happy for a long time now, he needs to play in position that would help him, should of moved into a deeper position few years ago.
I would still take him cause I think we're his last hope of him being classed a serious player, does he improve us is the question, for me yes.
It was all about chasing charltons goal record, and as soon as that was done his goals for career was done now he seems like he has no targets left and that hunger has gone.

What is the new sleeve sponcor or is that not happening now?

We hope for good fortune in this window because a club can identify their top line targets, then get bogged down as a player hesitates and takes his time in the hope of a better prospect coming along. the agent also looking for his best cut.
As a result you may have lost valuable time in getting your second choices as other clubs have stolen a march on your alternative choice.
We are in a better situation financially to compete, but we have seen how seemingly near done deals don't materialise.
Willian to Spurs for example. medical done then Mourhino butts in.
I still think the homework of Walsh on the lesser known gems is our best reason for hoping we can put some much needed creativity back into blue shirts.
Oscar.

Another yard of pace and Ossie would have been an england regular for years. he gave calm and intelligence to our midfield, and scored vital goals.

Very underated player by many Evertonians should have had more England caps.
Was put out to grass to soon I think.
Watching this vid is something overated Barclay should watch, maybe he will learn how to shoot, Osman twice the player Barclay is and twice the man.

Not sure what Ross has to do with it but I'm sure Ross will give Leon a few pointers on his shooting seen as Leon never got above 6 goals in a season yet Ross got 8 last year and is already up to 70% of Leons whopping 43 career goals. Every opportunity to have a go no wonder our better players want to go.

Anyway aside from that love Ossie. A great midfielder but because Moyes wanted players to be more defensive we never really saw the best of players like Osman. His football brain was on par with some of the best.

BJU best post on here for years. Exactly as I see it. 2 great Evertonians. One underated then. one underated now! If we had 11 players with the passion for Everton that these 2 have, things would be clear to all then. How about this for a question. Which Everton players not born as Evertonians have since proved their loyalty, heart and commitment to the club: I will start with Howard Kendall, Tim Cahill and Big Dunc!

Those three Degs would be 1st on my list. Seeing Tim's kids wearing Everton shirts and sworn evertonians proves his love for us.

Peter Reid would be another one. Watched Liverpool from the Kop but I've rarely heard anyone talk about Everton as passionately as him.

Spent an hour with on a train once and he never shut up about us. He sounded like me. With a derby coming up his last words were don't worry son, we'll beat the sh*ep out them. Made Carragher sound like the pussy cat (can remove the cat part if you want) he is.

I think people will get let down during the summer, some people think we're going to be buying top names, I think it will be our biggest spend but we're not going to be top drawer players selling the vision of the club to world class players is very difficult, at the end of the day our stadium is at least 3/ 4 years down the line, yes we can try and close the gap in the meantime but until stadium is up and running we can't compete for world class players but we will get better next year weather, we need to find more goals from other areas that's why we weren't competing for top 4 in my opinion.

The new shirt I have to say is typical of a failing sports brand like Umbro. It lacks imagination and style and looks dated. The Dixie silhouette is good but wasn't Umbros idea.

As long as we are affiliated to Umbro this should be our expectations. Sad but true. If we are to gets better kit then we need to affiliated with a better brand. They are out there and as long as we keep improving our desirability to these brands we should soon see an improvement there.

We can't and hopefully won't continue with this little old us approach that we have had over the years when it come to marketing our club. The signs seem to be there that all is now changing. And our profile and stock is rising.

I would like to see this contract run its cours or even cut short if possible and also tell Kit Bag where to go too. It's just absolutely wrong that you can't walk into a sports retailer in this country and pick up an Everton shirt to buy.

On a positive note, I'm pretty sure the away kit and 3rd kit should be better than this by default alone.

while I agree regarding our shocking deal with kitbag I have to disagree regarding our home kit I actually like it and think it's different to our normal plain royal blue jersey ( let's face it can't really do all that much with our home shirt) I can't wait to buy my 1 week old son his first new kit.

I don't think it's that bad either. The way people are talking you'd have thought we'd be stepping out in pink shirts with purple polka dots in some kind of lacy material next season.

On the umbro matter, that was a pre moshiri era deal. I'd say when the deal expires we maybe looking at one of the big manufacturers again like Nike, I'd love adidas or even underarmour.

I really don't want to go back to Nike it was down to them that we changed our badge as they said it was too difficult to copy we then wanted blue socks they refused and they did nothing for infants my little girl had the 6+ when she was 2 because Nike refused to make infant kits.

I like it as well, I think kits are going back to before they tried everything there have been some horrible kits during the 90s.

Are the planets aligning behind a transfer merry-go-round that would leave EFC with nothing more than extra cash to have to use on Siggurdson.

Bale to ManU
Ali to Real Madrid
Barkley to Spurs.

Would you really be that sad to see Ross go? I personally don't mind either way. Ross can be a good/ great player but too inconsistent. Poch won't have that, just like rk isn't.
Gylfi will be good addition, if we can get him.
I've got my sick bag and my seatbelt ready, going to be one hell of a roller coaster summer.
