Wenger to real Moyes to arsenal wil look to take both baines an felli with him thinks this will be his bargaining tool to get the job only job in England he really wants the board show loyalty
And he would be given time so if it comes up expect him to be of

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Arsenal have just signed a classy Spanish lb so I doubt Baines will be going there.

If Moyes does go this really wil be a big summer there is a strong chance many
Players will follow him out the door nev
Felli baines johnny osman this will mean a major rebuild of the squad Iam with the majority who would like to see
Martinez get this opportunity I think with some money and some quality
Youngsters comming through he could really impose a new style on everton

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Wouldn't miss any of them apart from Felli and Baines but we will see what happens.

Yesterday showed we needed another striker in January or use velios more he's plays super kev as a winger and has no striker on the bench more defenders thanks striker on the bench. The replay should see stones start good atmosphere and not against a premier league team we needed pace at rb on Saturday which phil hasn't got! And moyes should give Leon a rest and play Barkley and start velios and big vic it's the perfect fixture for the younger players to show moyes they can't cut it on the bug stage and he can stop moaning his squad isn't big enough when he's got great players at the right age who want to play and can give 100% for the full 90 unlike some of our senior players he should be using these players otherwise they get to 24 and there careers are nearly over we once use to be a club where youngsters use to get the chance but moyes wraps then up in cotton wool and suffocates them!

Eddy {Ed025's Note - i too would like to see the younger guys get more of a shot eddy...but look what happened at leeds in the cup, sometimes the manager cant win..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I don't mean a overhaul of the team just where we need it
Rb- too many players playing there need someone to settle there

Cm- osman been a great servant but after 60 minutes he can't track back or get the ball of the floor

St- victor and jelly are getting asked to defend more than attack they should stop on the halfway line they try hard enough but by the time there in front of goal they are goosed and jelkys confidence is low play jelly and velios nd the younger one can run the channels for him simples haha

Rb- stones
Cm- Barkley
St- velios

Eddy {Ed025's Note - worth a shot i suppose eddy..

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Stones is cup tied dude, but it would be nice to see him instead of Nev against one of the 'lesser' teams.

If/When Fellaini goes we have to go for Wanyama for around 8M. He will slot in nicely.

Really want Martinez if Moyes walks encourages good attacking football and doesn't just hoof the ball.

Agreed mate, and me for one is sick of watching moyes hoofing tactics.

The problems with EFC now are easily rectifiable--sack moyses now

Yes reds, the top six are made up of teams who's managers have to buy bargain basement. Blue Lee {Ed025's Note -

17 Feb 2013 20:06:16
When Moyses goes it will be time for a clear out of the backroom staff--weir, stubbs, ferguson--jobs for the boys not worth a carrot--we need a whole new approach to coaching--young lads don't get a chance--good players eg jelavic and mirallas-seem to have their skills coached out of them--moyses simply demands players who will run all day--that why goals for jelavic have dried up--he runs the channels like a donkey and now never in the box to pick up balls--sack moyses now

Believable4 Unbelievable6

I agree with everything you say i'm fed up of watching solid and unspectacular players with no skill or movement in place of skillful and mobile players. A change of philosophy is needed and we will only get that with a new manager with fresh ideas. {Ed025's Note - up till last month, we were all applauding the brilliant football we were playing...lets not go over the top guys..

Agree0 Disagree0

Since last month moyes has reverted to type again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lads you starting to sound like kopites now, very fickle, we didn't lose yesterday, we drew a tough away game against a team playing the game of ther lives, we still in the cup, ok our form hasn't been great but we still fightin on two fronts, lost 4 league games all season and you want moyes out, be careful what you wish for and whoever thinks, ferguson, stubbs, nev or weir are good enough to manage us is deluded, imwt, true blue, efc 4 life {Ed025's Note - well said true...those across the park, are real moaning minnies, and lately we are becoming the same!...come on guys, lets get a grip! lets back the manager, board, and players till the end of the season, and then see what happens, we have a good reputation here, lets not be dragged down to where we slate our own..

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed but i'll never back the board as there the root to all our problems. {Ed025's Note - its all we have at the moment mate...

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you know what your right. I am not the boards biggest fan but they are not a variable in this equation. unfortunately they are a constant. So we should focus on the things that we can change. or rather moyes can change. He can give some of the new lads arrack. even for 20 minutes to see how they fair. and we can just get behind the time. sacking the board and picking new managers ain't going to happen. at least not this side of July. Come on you blues. Jplaffertyinberlin

If Moyes leaves all the best to him he obviously loves the club and always will. I will welcome whoever takes charge I don't mid Di Matteo but I thik the style of play that martinez brings. he did it with swansea and he does with wigan and with our players we have better passers than wigan he will have a great chance of managing a great team to sucess and top 4. MOYES TO STAY! BUT IF HE GOES MARTINEZ IN!

Believable1 Unbelievable4

17 Feb 2013 20:01:07
Hi fellow blues I would just like to know what you think over the. last say 7 or 8 games we have started playing terrible football hoofing it up fellaini or jelavic who half the time is offside anyway when when we keep it on the floor we can rip teams apart we was getting talked about in the press everton playing like Barcelona not so long a go what's happened also sorry but nevile is finished when he is playing just slows are play down all the time getting bored of watching this do we want another 5 to 10 years of the moyse style or is it time for change also fellaini needs to start pulling his finger out instead of trotting round like he's better than anyone on the field plenty of managers and players out there to fill there suits and boots we will always be bigger than any person getting payrolled by us fans coyb forever

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We have reverted to type again it's as simple as that.

Just a few thoughts,
Jelly hasn't scored really after tim left, does anyone think that's a coincidence? Also I personally feel its looking very unlikely that with a run in like ours we will get 4th and a scenario that is also looking more likely is moyes may leave, I obviously want him to stay but is no one else just a bit curious as to what our team would play like if we did have a different manager? (obviously would have to be the right one) Martinez would be my choice (posted that about a year ago) and he plays good football with a team that are relegation candidates, they don't stick 10 men behind the ball and hit it up to a st and he has had some very good players, nzogbia Valencia, McCarthy, Moses etc and I can see people would think what about the transfer window with 'moyses jems' well he may well send scouts to a particular country but it's the scouts that actually see that player and report back to moyes so in that respect I think we'd be alright but like every other blue I'm still waiting for the club to announce new billionaire owners. haha
Good draw for next round (if we get there)!

17 Feb 2013 18:30:42
I think the draw has got to give the side and the supporters a boost. Two games, both at home; Oldham then Wigan and then a trip to Wembly, and who knows we could meet Milllwall there. I for one think that Jelavic will come good.
I think his poor form is down to me. I've had him in my fantasy team since the start of the season, and that's the kiss of death for most players. I might take him out this week just to give him a hat trick at Norwich?

Callum McManaman has been excellent for Wigan today. Is an Everton fan and was in the academy for 7 years

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Its a myth mate that moyes brings on our youth system he does nothing of the sort. look around the lower leagues and see how many ex everton kids are playing. even today in the cup there's been a few playing. He even buys these future stars and you never see them in and around the first team fact you never see them again until they've left for first team football somewhere else. imo he ruined jack rodwell rarely playing him, playing him out of position basically knocking the confidence outta him which he's going to end up doing to young barkley. The comment moyes came out with a year or so ago regarding rodwell says it all about moyes reluctance to give youth a chance his comment was" jacks found himself a little unlucky that he's had older players in front of him". Moyes would rather keep playing players well into there thirties every week rather than give youth a chance of making the breakthrough. Wether they are good enough for everton or not we or they never get the chance to find out. Look at the red sh. te there bringing a few youngsters through into the first team giving them a game here a game there gaining a bit of experience so that say six months to a year down the line these kids will know what its all about and could possibly slot straight into the first team with ease and no fear. In these times of lack of funds why don't we give these young kids ago if not what's the point in us having academys and coaches training these kids only to let them go elsewhere waste of money which we can't afford. Not everyone is going to be a new wayne rooney but surely many of them could be good reliable members of the first team squad if given a chance. jimmy

Agree with you mate. Vellios, Barkley and this new kid Stones should be giving a chance

Howard - good saves, but still weak at crosses.
Neville - to slow, lacks pace to get forward.
Jagielka - solid performance, should be captain.
Distan - solid performance, though time for Duffy.
Baines - hampered by lack of midfield support.
Pienaar - looks tired, left Baines isolated at times.
Gibson - SHOOT! Please had good opportunities.
Fellaini - looks frustrated.
Osman - good for 10 mins, poor game, outfought.
Anichebe - looking better, still needs to be stronger.
Jelavic - trying hard but finishing awful.

Moyes - tactics wrong, don't sit back, we don't have the pace to play on the break.

Sorry but that's my view, really don't care if you don't agree.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Agree with that mate but you're being a bit harsh on Pienaar, fights 100% every game.

ToffeeMike

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bad mate. Anichebe more stronger though? He is a beast

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Feb 2013 16:07:47
Moyes has got to go now before it is too late! While we are at it, Osman is rubbish now. Oh and Jelavic. And if we are being honest, Pienaar has lost his form, Neville was never any good anyway. Naismith was a waste of money. Anichebe is a carthorse. Heitinger is also crap (even though he was player of the season last time out).
We should get rid of all of them and get Mary from the chippy in at right back, old Bill the guy who sweeps up in the park as centre forward and we can do without the rest of them. Get one of the local primary school teachers to pick the team. Maybe then we will get to 6th in the league and still be in the FA cup with a home replay. Or have we just achieved that? I was once taught in Football. get rid of someone AFTER you have replaced them and not before. Will someone please make a list of all these new free signings that we are making to replace all the crap players that have got us to 6th. Oh and get them to gell together immediately. And if you want an example of how not to do it look at our neighbours. They got rid of Carroll before they replaced him!
Degsypulford

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I want a manager who likes mobile and creative players and not solid dependable players.

Agree0 Disagree0

And I want the manager who took us from being consistently in the bottom 5 into the top 8. The one who did it by buying cheap and selling expensive. And has got us to a level of playing the best football in years. (I accept we have lost some form in the last 5 or 6 games). Has also had us performing better than lots of teams who have spent many more millions than us. Be careful what you wish for.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Change will be beneficial for both Moyes and Everton 11 years is to long, and if we don't change soon then the only way will be down, so time for a new manager with some new ideas as moyes isn't be all and end all to Everton despite what you "be careful what you wish for" lot say.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes 11 years is too long for a consistently manager. I will give you another example. Sir Alex Ferguson. He has also been in the job too long. Ask any Utd fan who knows nothing about football. I know Moyes is not God. but he has turned us round. The quality of players during Walter Smiths days is just not comparable. Like I say, be careful what you wish for.
nb we are 6th in the league and with a bit of luck will get to at least the semis of the cup. If that's achieved with a net spend of about 2 million per year, then that is a fantastic achievement. Look at Newcastle. 100's millions spent. no better than us and even got relagated 2 years ago. Look at the reds, 100's millions spent. The only manager who has performed similar miracles is Wenger. Constantly bought young gems and sold expensively.

Right here we go. Straight swap Wenger for Moyes. BK will love it as Arsen doesn't spend much and likes to build young attacking teams. Both have similar records though Arsen does know how to get into Europe. Just a thought. {Ed001's Note - it is very likely Wenger is leaving Arsenal in the summer, though I would think Real Madrid and Man City might give you some competition for him.}

17 Feb 2013 15:57:04
I know this is going to sound really barmy, but moyes must be seeing that we well need a lift if were going to get in cl or el, then why dnt he sit dpwn with big bill an sign a. contract but keep it between themselfs he. s off in the summer. At least he would be able to explain he done it for the club to push on. On the other hand if nobody comes in for him then he dnt have to worry bout his contract, were really flat atm would help.

I agree with Ed025 that Roberto Martinez would be a good replacement if DM leaves. For those who criticise him for being in relegation struggles every season, what do you expect, with all due respect, at Wigan. What he has done is try to play progressive football, bring in talented players (often unknown) who've moved on for biggish fees, and always been positive whatever the setbacks have been. He's also got plenty of experience of English football - as a player and a manager - while retaining his Spanish roots. IMHO, he seems a really good choice to take the club on from where DM has placed it. My fear is that we'll either promote from within and suffer from a lack of experience or we'll take someone like Sam Allardyce who'll have us playing kick & rush rather than push & run :- (
C. A. Jones {Ed025's Note - if big sam took us over jonesy...i might just become a red..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Nothing in this world would make me become a red. but if fat sam was ever allowed to manage our club my face would turn red with rage and embarrassment. and every member of the board should be put in front of a firing squad. jimmy

Anybody seen the article from efc website on Royston Drenthe? In a nutshell it's him finally coming to terms with the fact that he has been a plonker and ruined his football career. He says the way Moyes approached him has finally made him realise he needs to grow up and concentrate properly on his footballing career.

. I say sign him again! A disciplined Royston Drenthe in my eyes is a world class player ready live up to the potential!

toffee jack {Ed025's Note - leave well alone i say...words are cheap jack. it wont be long before he presses the self destruct button again..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

"Now I can't believe I blew it at Everton. It is one of the most fantastic clubs in the Premier League. My attitude and poor mentality are the reasons I ruined my career there. "

if DM does go I hope he takes Osman, Nev, Johny, Naismith, Jelly, and Oviedo. I don't know why we bought him, I just don't see what he does. The kids must be better than this lot, if not shut the accadamy down because we are not giving any of them a chance. Early season form gone we need to make a couple of changes, Try Stones, Duffy, Barkley, Kennedy, Mcaleny. not all at the same time but they couldn't do any worse than the any of the other players. KK. {Ed025's Note - i know you may be a bit frustrated mate...but that is one hell of an over-reaction!..

Neville, Osman and Anichebe are simply NOT good enough to play week in week out for a team hoping to qualify for europe.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Osman and Anichebe have been pretty decent this season. However, I agree on Neville, seriously needs to call it a day.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think neville should no longer be first team - but Osman is still one of our best midfielders and Anichebe looks good every game. our squad is just to small so we can't rotate our squad like the other teams challenging for europe can

Agree0 Disagree0

Have either of you guys watched Osman play, yesterday again he just disappeared, he was at fault for the first goal in losing possession.
Victor at least contributes with goals what do we get with Osman at present, nothing!

Agree0 Disagree0

Phil nev shines moyes shoes, has a lump of brown stuff on the end of his nose, he's the camp snitch, how else can you justify his inclusion, his performence at Manchester United was bad but he was shocking at Oldham if he gets a new contract it the classic jobs for the boys, good riddance {Ed025's Note - not a big fan then?..

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Feb 2013 08:54:46
If we don't finish at least 5 I think moyes will go or the twist the could be that the board could just say to moyes look you stumble on your contract and it effected the players we don't need you now, time for a fresh manager!

Got asked an interesting question this morning that I couldn't really answer, if Peter Reid got the job would I be annoyed? Or if joe royal was to return would I be equally as annoyed?

Anyone got answers with reasons? They are both before my time so I only have knowledge of royal from books and Peter Reid through videos and research, so a actual been there seen it input would be nice? ED?
Marouanes mop {Ed025's Note - i happen to like peter, loved him as a player, but not really cut it as a manager...would be a great number 2 though, joe is not the man for me though mop, great player, but a bit wishy washy as a manager..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Right okay, well I've seen reid did okay at sunderland but everywhere else he has struggled, think i'd be willing to see how he would do I guess but ofc its all theoretical, royal has a strong cv though doesn't he? but maybe too long out of football?
marouanes mop {Ed025's Note - i thought reid done well at man city, but he got a raw deal mop..

Text on Moysie.

I was surprised at the usually discreet Moyes commenting that he would 'see how the team does' before making a decision about his future.
There are better times to make such a comment if at all.
Its left us all with a bitter taste and opened up many old wounds regarding the board and some of our past negative tactics under Moyes.
We didn't need this sideshow at this stage of the season.
Come clean Moysie or say nothing!
