My team for Wednesday versus
Swansea would be:

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Drenthe Fellaini Rodwell Osman

Barkley

Stracqualursi

Subs:

Mucha Neville Coleman Heitinga
Cahill Vellios McAleny

The reasons that I have chose
these players is:

Howard - Our best GK

Hibbert - Playing well

Jagielka - Amazing at blocking shots
and organizing

Distin - Has speed and height, also,
Heitinga takes too many risks

Baines - A great attacking threat

Drenthe - Against Norwich he
exploded onto the scene!

Fellaini - Good for set-pieces

Rodwell - Is good at driving runs
from the midfield

Osman - His confidence will be high
after his goal

Barkley - Can provide the killer pass
we need

Stracqualursi - Wins lots in the air
and played well against Norwich

Players that I would drop from the
starting 11 from the Norwich match
are:

Neville - Our team captain but he
is too negative and plays too slow

Heitinga - Takes too many risks for
a defender

Cahill - Hasn't scored for a year and
doesn't really look this scoring
either

Saha - Is just LAZY, wouldn't even
put him on the bench. Wouldn't
care if he went off on one

Gueye - Lost the ball too much

Believable1 Unbelievable4

You can't really say Stracqualursi awful
either because he's had barely any
first 11 experience

Tim Cahill - moyes likes him and he's been a great servant to the club but he's reminding me of southall in his last season - living on his name and hurting the club - no goals in about a year whilst playing as one of the 2 attackers tells the story - we don't look like scoring when he's playing - Denis and drench made us look like a different team - and the crowd was totally different when they were on

(sub top fellaini is just toooo slow - he just slowly jogs around the pitch - hardly ever where he's needed - and when he has it he doesn't do anything creative or unexpected with the ball - you're playing centre mid workhorse role mate - put a shift in you lazy sod)

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Thats unfair on cahill, he is not a striker so dont expect him to have great games in that position. when he plays in midfeld hes much much better

This quite simply can't go on any longer, I'm a huge Moyes fan but his tactical failings are getting worse!

1 heitinga, great player but too easily pushed off the ball again today as with against Stoke, if the ever was a game for Distin it was today

2 Neville in midfield, great captain but at home against teams you should be beating having another defensive minded player sends out the wrong message

3Gueye on the left, this lad has lots of potential and skill but kept wandering from the left wing leaving Baines on his own and therefore diminished what has been our best attackin option all season

4Cahill on the field, an absolute legend but he's not at the races, looks short on confidence and believe, hasn't scored in 2011!! Give him a rest!

5 Drente, unless he wasn't fit can't understand why he only got 20 mins, he changed the game, sensational

6 Moyes insistence on not playing 2 up front at home! When Strach came on we looked like we had more purpose, he won headers and cased balls, he put himself about more than Cahill and Saha in the whole game, we actually looked good and very threatening with 2 up front!

I'm only an arm chair fan but if even I can see these failings surly those who get paid to run the club can see them too. It has to change because results like that ruin my whole weekend!

COYB
Kurajan {Ed025's Note - good post that kurjan...i agree with all of it!..

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Arm chair fan says it all.
I don't know how further forward Cahil has to play to class Moyes as playing 2 up front.
I accept that people don't class Cahill as a traditional striker but he plays as far forward as Saha.

We really need to find a way to start winning again but we can't get any luck. A lot better today, as frustrated as I am I'm at least happy with the effort of the players, if we can select the right players and they play like today we will start winning a lot more games. We need Drenthe on a permanent!

Here's my team which seems to change a lot because of the consistency of the boys! Happy with gueye's performance.

Howard
Hibbert jagielka distin baines
Drenthe Rodwell fellaini gueye
Osman
Saha

AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - today you cant fault the guys, we just need to be more clinical in front of goal..

over 20 shots on goal 15 or so on target! alot better but should be beating norwich at home! denis did well, drenthe changed the whole game when he came on, he had more shots on goal in one game than the entire team in the last 2 games! need to start winning but a slightly better pefromance today!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Dont care about stats we need goals cahill drop him and play 2 up front moyes you muppet {Ed025's Note - i dont think he wants to kermit himself..

Poor that ed {Ed001's Note - that was his best gag!! He had been waiting months to use that one, bless him. Still he will get some new jokes for you next week.....}

NO one is going to take over EVERTON while Moyes and KENWRIGHT are in charge

17 Dec 2011 15:53:17
For the moment we're having very bad luck, but our playing style is very dissapointing, send long-balls to the forwards means lose rapidly. so we have to touch more the ball and dominate more the midfield and stop to play in a long-balls because is useless.

PD: we already need rodwell and drenthe in the field.
PD2: I can't understand why ross barkley hasn't been called for the match.

Hope this is the team for today:

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Heitinga Baines

Coleman Rodwell Fellaini Drenthe

Barkley

Vellios

Subs:

Mucha Distin Osman Gueye Cahill
Saha McAleny {Ed025's Note - i like the look of that team mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

It's not too attacking or too defending.

Rodwell and Fellaini would help the defence out because they can both, as we all know, defend. Baines, Drenthe, Coleman, Barkley and Vellios would attack their defence too.
