Although I rate 'Song' as a midfielder, I'd rather we went for a more creative man, so for me I'd go for 'Honda'.add 'yarmalenko' as our no.10 to that & Van Dijk from Celtic & I'd be a happy bunny with this transfer window!

For some reason I cannot reply to one of spudv's posts below. Regardless of my opinion of the board, I agree we have become the most negative and miserable on these sites. What we should be focusing on is the brilliant result and dare I say, phenominal performance. Apologies if I've came across as 'negative' in my posts about the board below, the result on Saturday was what mattered. i'm my opinion Stones is going nowhere so it's pointless getting worked up about it. let's just concentrate on having a better season then the last one and get behind the team against City.

{Ed025's Note - good words mate...now where is the real swan?.. :)

Quality post Swan. You still need to say things that are on your mind positive or negative. I'll agree with some not on others.

I was slating Martinez appointment and McCarthy's transfer. So it's not as if i'm not negative from time to time.

You're of a yoinger generation than me. For me the boardroom, players being bought and sold don't mean as much to me. The 11 men on the pitch getting support do and a local lad will get 10 times more support from me than a player brought in from outside. But maybe me and you are not so different with a post like this. We both want a winning team at Everton.

Wasn't taking a pop at you Swan, that was just an observation of how this site has been in last few weeks, despite a good win thrown in. I'm also of an older gen to you and, although I believe there are questions that need answering, this regime is nowhere near as bad as the PJ era, the man who actually sold a player without the manager and players knowledge.
I just think some fans will use Stones leaving as an excuse to have a go at the board when the only way he will be allowed to go is if he hands in a request. I would hope that people give BK a little breathing space due to his circumstances, there are other people on the board who can take the grief until he is well enough.

Sounds daft but if Chelsea came in with a 50 mil bid which let's face it is stupid monry they won't sell don't think it would come down to the player so much

Go on to Everton rumours now, Harry Rednapps team of the weekend, it's either a lie or he has not got a clue, one Everton player made it in jagielka that is a joke gk bergovic didn't Chelsea concede 3, lukaku and Barkley should of been in for shore, it makes me wonder if they watched any football over the weekend or picked it based on paper write ups either way it's shambolic article

Thats ridiculous that Metz, Begovic in and no Lukaku, what matches was he watching

Then again it is Harry Redknapp, he did put his Monaco bank account in his dogs name by accident cough cough

{Ed025's Note - to be fair degs begovic did pull off some fine saves, but rom should deffo have got a place..

17 Aug 2015 13:15:23
your right Ed, wasnt his fault the scoreline, I take that back mate, but no Lukaku that's a banker for me

I just hope Rom doesn't get lazy again, when he is like that he is unbelievable and looks a bargain at 28 million, wouldn't be surprised if that rumour about the Mancs after him resurfaces now mate

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - another striker really helps him degs..

17 Aug 2015 13:19:33
I should have looked at the Mancs pages before I posted my last one Ed, they are now after Lukaku, 35 million seems good to them, one guy offered us Rooney back for 15 million lol, shallow or what

{Ed025's Note - as a worms grave degs.. :)

As much as I thought he was boring and a red, I thought Alan Hanson use to talk the most sense als what a player he was never was there a better defender at reading the game would make John Terry look like a average defender

Yeah but what do you expect from a man who can't speak English and honestly thinks Bale is better than Ronaldo.

Regarding John Stones who should NOT be sold, think about it he is now a player we CANNOT afford to buy!

Love your comment wakka57. Only way Everton will progress and compete at top end is hold on to the core young players we have and try and build on them with a mix of youth and only buying players that will improve the team. Can't see any other way. If money is took for Stones, Martinez would want to be very savy to improve the team in transfer market. Chances are the team might not be as strong using the money from a sale of Stones rather than keeping him in the team.
