Would anyone want to sign Valencia permanently in the summer. Tbf he's done well when coming on to support Lukaku.

Decent enough player for the bench when we go 2 up front. We should be aiming higher now though!

Has there been any price mentioned? Think he's a good a squad player so would depend on that.

I read that the clause in the loan says £14m. I'd take him for half that.

Would be a very good squad player and if he is happy with that let's sign him. I believe the price is about £12 million, if this is true then ok let's get him maybe.

I agree with the replies. He has value when we need to shake it up a bit and bring him on when one up top is proving ineffective for whatever reason. I would hope that we could sign him but negotiate a fee less than £12 million. Or just offer whatever we get for Niasse.

I'm sceptical after the Lennon transfer. These moves tend to be bad moves. Some come off and we've had our fair share of success but I think we've moved on from this type of deal.

Is he any better than Niasse seems to have turned out to be?

Really wakka57! Valencia is in a totally different league to Niasse. Valencia imho when on the pitch has done very well. He's a very good plan b. Solsjaer was a great player used very effectively as a sub.

Although I don't see Valencia in the same league as him he could be effective enough in a similar role. Definitely 100 times better than Niasse.

my mates a West Ham season ticket holder and they don't miss him, in fact they say he goes missing in so many games and went downhill after a big impact when he signed, I believe he was all that was available at the time, and I actually think he is better than Niasse.

Fair enough wakka. Your last post did not seem to indicate the view that you think he's better than Niasse. Our set up seems capable of getting average players to good players. Gana being a prime example. No one was excited about his signing. Turns out as good a one as we have had in a long time.

Walsh and Koeman will do the same thing to more players. I'd put my house on it.

Nice to read Koeman, Jags and a couple of others went to visit Coleman back in Ireland always feel this is a nice touch.

Would anyone be happy replacing lukaku with ex united striker hernandez.

{Ed025's Note - i like chicarito shakey but at 28 maybe hes not a long term solution, ronnie seems to prefer a target man and willian jose looks like he could be the one we opt for mate..
