Let me just say anyone who says takeover will happen at so and so is talking rubbish, if they knew that it would come from high up in both parties do you really believe they would be desperate to post on here wake up loosers

You lot are full of it, only a month ago you were all saying rodwell was not that good in the last week he will Will be world class
Rodwell hadn't been looking great, I think some fans were getting a bit worried about his lack of progress... However, few of us realised until recently the problem was actually mr negative moyes. The lad has attacking talent, time the boss realised this and took advantage of it instead of invoking a 'do not go beyond the half way line, and only pass backwards or sideways' rule. {Ed025's Note - good post that mate, a lot of us feel that way!, but also it is easier to play with better players around you..
Is that why messi is so good? Cause he has some of the best players in the world playing in the same team? {Ed025's Note - your dead right it is!....

Agree that Rodwell has great potential but he needs to get more involved in games and to start
influencing their outcome. He seems too happy to coast along and let others set the pace. Watch players like Wiltshire or Barry - they're always looking for/demanding to be given the ball. Rodwell, on the other hand, never seems that interested. If he doesn't change, it will be a big waste of talent. surely Messrs Moyes and capello can see that?
16 Nov 2011 17:13:02
Is it me, or does Rodwell seem like he's lacking in some passion. He looks very quite and emotionless on the pitch. Don't get me wrong he's a crackin player, very switiched on and with plenty to offer and I think he will go on to be a world class player one day, but I just think he needs to be more aggressive and demanding in order to get there. {Ed025's Note - the word you are looking for is...lethargic..and he does at times
This is the exact reason why people will get proved wrong when they deem him "future england captain"

The Blue Union are idiots. I want more and new investment as much as the next Evertonian, but to have a tag line of Let Go If You Love The Club is is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. So you want Kenwright to just walk away do you, with no new owners, just brush his hands and leave us completely and utterly in the s**te. Brilliant, what a wonderfull solution to our issues. {Ed025's Note - i think you will find that they want someone in place before bill goes..
BK. is business man mate.He won't walk away without any pay back. Now just only the right man who come because BK. shown in Blue Union discussion to sell the club.

Its clear to see that rodwell can be very effective as an attacking midfield player! He could of scored a couple last night and he definately should of scored that header! But he was in the right places to have them chances! Moyes should now encourage him to go and join the attack, fellani can sit back and protect the back four! We need to start going at teams now! Give the fans something to cheer about build up there own confidence get a winning run going and give any potential investors/buyers something to think about! Unbeaten run between now and end of january, lets have it!
Blue si :-)
Something we should have done a long time ago Si. Rodders must have taken the current Everton curse with him last night... Just can't seem to finish can we? Both Baines and Rodwell did well for England, as did Jags. Well done lads. Now do it for Everton.

Rodwell played very well last night he had a few chances,he seemed to be in the right place at the right time lets hope he can perform for the blues!

Bit of bad news really rodwell playing so well is getting lots of interest in him from united city Chelsea and now arsenal, liverpool want Coleman, Saha interested in joining PSG, no contract for fellaini, drenthe only on loan, log of interest in Barkley, got a feeling maybe a whole different squad come January but for the worse :/
Felli has to go if he's not signed by end Dec - he's a 10-15m player trying to do a pienaar on us - knowing the state our finances are in and that we can't afford that kind of hit - I think it would be a disgraceful thing for him to do to us - after Moyes/EFC have helped turn him into a player
I dont think moyes will be selling rodwell or barkely though
Good thing you're not a pessimist. Jesus Wept!!
I'm not but if I was the players I would want to show myself on the world stage, the players will want to better themselves, Rodwell at the moment looks like is the best midfielder in the league we can't afford to keep him unfortunately :/
Best midfielder in the League what? im an Everton fan an that was just a stupid thing to say and its not about how good he is no player is to big for the club its up to the player himself if we sell and buy correctly and players like rodwell and barkley see potential for the future then they will stay personally i think they will both stay and become legends {Ed025's Note - im with you on that one mate!..
I hate to say it but anything around 10 million for coleman and we should sell sell sell. The lad came in for nothing and has done great. But he has already been found out I think. His strength last year was how he would bomb forward at full pace and attack the full back whatever the situation, very unpredictable and he can ride a challenge. He is now being 'coached' how to play at this level and his game has suffered. He does'nt attack as freely this season and when he does, full backs seem to know to just run with him down the line. As a RB he would again be good on the attack but his defensive positioning is still 18 months on from Irish League. He hasnt much skill, just head down and run at 'em. Liverpool sign him it would be the next Nick Barmby. As a Blue I think Shemus should stay with us for as long as his talent allows him to... dont get me wrong, good player but he aint in the 10 mill, 50 k per week bracket. {Ed025's Note - i must admit, that after a great first season, he does look limited, but he is still young, and learning his trade..

listen guys - if there's any takeover imminent there will be proper rumours surfacing on the main news channels as well as on here - these things aren't kept totally secret until ten oclock in the evening - there will be people arriving in fancy cars at the ground and the signing would be done during business hours - it's not like transfer deadline day - and a lot of staff at the club (like caterers , doormen etc) would know that top officials from another company were arriving - it's daft to get worked up just cos some fella on here writes one sentense
we're still a good investment for someone though - top club with good history - top support - going very cheap compared with the value of the players we already have, and the future potential of the club.
Sentense? someone didn't do english in school..........
The spelling police are on patrol again! Are you the same person who moans about mis-spelt players names?
You should have a capital letter on 'English' and 'Someone'. How ironic.

With Bily now saying he wants to leave if his position at the club doesn't change I can see him and Mucha being sold in January plus if Fellaini doesn't sign a new contract i can see him being sold which will give us about 30m to spend in Jan to bring in Jelle Vossen for 6m, Pienaar for 3m, Lewis Holtby 12m and Adel Taarabt for 9m. I no this isn't going to happen but that's not to say it couldn't and would be great if it did.
Team after January:
Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Drenthe Holtby Rodwell Pienaar
Taarabt
Vossen
Bench... Hannehman, Neville, Heitinga, Gueye, Barkley, Saha, Vellios
Fellaini, Bily and Mucha? 30 Million? Really? Not even if Fellainis hair was made of gold!
I believe Everton scouts have been looking at Vossen for some time. He's good at finding space and a good finisher but would he adapt to the Prem? That's the gamble I suppose.
A big NO to Pienaar I'm afraid. I think he's burnt his bridges at Goodison Park now, not to mention the fact that he's injured all the time.
I dunno mate, if we did have 30 million to spend I'd like to think we could do better... Sorry pal.
I would have Seamus at right back but it's always going to be difficult shifting Hibbert and Neville.
Wizard of Osman
Why on earth would we want Taarabt!! He seems to spend half his time arguing with his team mates. The £9m we won't have, could be spent far better else where. I agree with bringing Pienaar back. He left us for Champions League football and more money. Had two games in the champions league and now never gets a game. Yes he done us over a bit, but cant blame him for moving to what he thinks was an improved situation. I'd do the same in my working life. He would certainly come back with something to prove. Is Vossen the lad that played up front against Chelsea recently for Genk? He looked pretty good to be fair. Young and strong on the ball.
