I think the with the FA cup the runners up get into Europe if the winners have already qualified through the league but in this case we'd be playing either crystal palace or Watford so that's not going to happen this time around. I fancy our chances though, I'd quite like West Ham in the semi's after the recent comments from the 3 stooges about us.

Elstone joined Everton as Deputy Chief Executive in 2005 from accountancy firm Deloitte, following four years at BSkyB, and was appointed to the role of Chief Executive in 2009.
Ryazantsev, who has worked with major shareholder Farhad Moshiri in a number of previous roles, has a background in corporate finance and has held management positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO Bank. "

I know elstone isn't everyones favorite but he does need credit for keeping us stable financially whilst we waited an investor. money was made available for the team on tight budget but we could have overspent like others and gone to the wall.

Martinez get a good old bashing off us and by and large it's deserving. But one thing in particular he deserves great credit for is the way he handle the speculation and indeed the truth about players leaving the club.
Last summer he wasn't having any of the media games Chelsea played when courting Stones. He said from the start that he wasn't for sale and to be fair even after an alleged transfer request, he stayed resolute.
This summer will be worse as the media are adamant that Stones Lukaku and Ross are leaving. So with Martinez's obstinacy along with an unprecedented transfer war chest I'm actually looking forward to see what happens.
One thing is for sure, as he has stated recently, if we are not in a position to hold onto any of them then the transfers might have to break records. Ronaldo stylie.

So terry henry doesn't think lukaku stones and barkley could hack it at arsenal or in his words arsenal or another big club well I've got news for u terry there not going to go to arsenal then bayern real or Barcelona maybe has he looked at the arsenal team lately lost to watford in the cup probably going to get battered tonite not good enough to win the league considering that all the top teams r so poor this season this was a fantastic chance to do so. so giroud is better than lukaku wilshere better than barkley and gabriel better than stones always thought the man talked rubbish now he has just confirmed it love to put it to a vote r they good enough to play for the all conquering arsenal (sarcasm) i'm afraid.

I agree Henry was totally wrong in what he's saying but there's no need to attack Arsenal just because of Henry's views.
Let the football do the talking. I'm confident next season he'll realise how big of a club Everton really are. As I said I'm confident next season our football will do the talking and silly comments like his will seize to exist.

I wouldn't say i'm attacking arsenal just stating the truth I only care about everton football club and I've taken plenty of stick over the years for it so if I state the truth about arsenal or any other club so be it.

I love Thierry Henry, unbelievable talent and normally speaks sense, got it spot on with Mori when other pundits were slating him when we got him, he said this guy was talented and was right, unfortunately Thierry is totally wrong here

Lets hope more like it. No guarantee we'll beat them. Don't think we should start comparing our team or players to Arsenal's just because of one persons comment.
Like everyone Henry is entitled to his opinion. For the record I totally disagree with everything he said on the matter and am offended as much as anyone.
Don't think Henry knows exactly Everton's history. Next season we will hit the ground running and I'm convinced it will be our best season in around 30 years!
I'd wait till then to rub it in Henry's face.
By the way it makes nice chance from everyone trying to sell our players. There's always someone I give out. The media are given out about when they say our players are leaving. Then when someone says they don't want them there's still people giving out.
To be honest I was delighted Henry said those things. The more people think that the better. No one would want to sign them then.
I'd be over the moon with that! I want to keep them at all costs.
