Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

16 Jul 2012 21:51:19
To people saying this will be a bad transfer window, you are wrong.
Account number 1 distin signs a new deal which adds bulk to the backbone of the team and his partnership with hietinga and Jagielka last season was amazing.
Account number 2, Steven Naismith signs a deal with us and a attacking midfielder joins our team. He already has a great partnership with the god that is Jelavic.
Account number 3, the transfer of pienaar to everton is imminent after AVV gave us the green light to get him.
Account number 4, none of our players will leave unless they want to or Moyes has a plan.
This is our year. Nill Satis Nisi Optimum

That's a good post mate. Too much doom and gloom starting to set in. We need positive posts like this one

I'm fed up with hearing about Bainsy there's enough in the press and they don't need our help

If we post good news and good views then this will rub off on everyone.

Come on everyone. Not one of our players has expressed a desire to leave so let's assume that they are staying.

Us blues are a realistic bunch. We love our club and get behind the lads. Our ground is a place every other team hates coming to… why? Because of us. So let's be the same supporters during the summer that we are on a rainy night under the flood lights of Goodison.

We will start well, we will finish well and we will have a season to remember.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

If i remember right, before he signed this contract he's on now, he waited till 12 months was left, and im sure that was the year they gave him felli.
could be wrong about the year being when felli come but defo sure there was only 12 months left.
moyes done his buisness and then signed a new contract!

Just read up that Apostolos Vellios could be set for season long loan at Hull.. Anyone else elaborate? First i've heard... would it be a good idea for everton or do we keep him as back up for jelavic

Ste1878

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Dont think this lad has had a fair chance yet

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we give gay a chance when we have peanuts and not play vellios when we need strikers coming through {Ed025's Note - they must perform for the reserves, and when given their chance, take it with both hands, if they are good enough they will break through, you must let the manager be the judge...thats his job..

I agree with Ed025's comment.

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith has signed a contract with us so even if there is a problem he has still signed or us, we would just have to pay money to Rangers

This isnt gonna happen though as Fifa have now got involved to sort the SFA

We owe money to the bank, the bank is Barclays..
I believe we have two options here, 1st is to change bank, theres loads of 0% balance transfers out there (just kidding)
Why don't we try shave 5-10 million off the debt by plastering barclays logo everywhere for a season, even put it on the shirt for cup games and as advertising goes its gotta be worth a few quid for the bank

J0hn80y

Believable1 Unbelievable2

In case you haven't noticed Barclays sponsor the whole league, they are already advertised at every ground in the prem !

Right lads,

If Baines does move on and we all have to admit this is a big possibilty...... who would you get to replace him as evertons new left back?

Bearing in mind we will get £16m tops

Tiffa {Ed025's Note - hard one that tiffa...lets just hope we dont need one..

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said 16m tops if the mancs won't offer 20m they won't get the bacon

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes has repeatedly said we don't sell cheap, so i think it will be 20 million or no deal, i don't think baines even wants to go

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Play garbutt from the reserves he looks promising and I would want the money to be reinvested on pienarr, Donovan and some one like Dempsey

Agree0 Disagree0

No Garbutt def not ready yet. Will be very good but needs realistically 2 more years as with all the youngsters. The premiership has just got too fast to just throw these young boys to the wolves.
Give them all steady progression in lower leagues and hopefully some of them will blossom. Throw them in now and they will sink as sure as eggs is eggs. That's why Moyes won't be tempted - he and his staff will know when the time is right . We just have to be patient and I guarantee in 2 years as the oldens disappear , we will have a superb home bread young team. {Ed025's Note - good post that mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Garbutt for me against the lesser teams, distin at LB against the bigger teams, with the money invested in midfield and strikers hopfuly we should be able to get a few cusion goals incase our younger players mess up abit

J0hn80y

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't admit that it's a big possibility it's just a load of rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2012 17:14:40
Ed any news on transfers both in or out and do you think this owen could be a goer I think he could be a great addition if we could keep him fit thanks

Wozza {Ed025's Note - it would not surprise me if owen came wozza, even though i hope not,....pienaar is the main objective, and that will hopefully be sorted out this week

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Owen coming off the bench in matches will be handy for us, his goal rate hasn't ever been in question for any club he has played for

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

I really couldn't express how badly i don't want this to happen without swearing a lot, so i will just point to one fact that epitomises it for me.....the lad has effectively got only two hamstrings in his left leg, the hamstring is made up of three major muscles so to lose one means that you are permanently putting the two remaining ones under intense pressure and strain when he actually does play, using him from the bench adds even further problems as he would be "cold" which obviously creates an even bigger opportunity for injury.....therefore he's too big a risk in my opinion anyway.

Heads up for anyone waiting for their season ticket. They will start to get dispatched at the beginning of August...... The wait is almost up!

Hopefully we'll still have all our players I.e. Baines, Felli etc

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Don't know if everyone remembers me posting on here the other week that i was working on a garden that turned out to be Leon Osman dad Derick.
He told me that we would sign Pienaar before we flew out to Indonesia and it looks like he was genuine according to reports in the last 2 days he will be here end of the week or early next week!
I'l be very happy if we get him and if we can get another player before we play United i'l be over the moon.

I THINK EVERTON FANS SHOULD FIGHT TO KEEP BAINES AN SHOW THE BOARD WHAT HE MEANS TO US ANY ONE ELSE THINK A PETION WOUD DO ANYTHING IF IT WAS SIGNED BY THOUSANDS OF BLUES SURELY THEY WOULD LISTEN

THE REAL ANT THE BLUE {Ed025's Note - im sure the club are aware of how we fans feel, the only 2 people who matter here are moyes, and baines himself....and only 2 questions to answer--does he want to stay, and does moyes want him to go...only time will tell..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

3 people Ed , Barclays, Baines, and Moyes, in that order sadly. {Ed025's Note - personally, i dont think our debt is excessive, and with the tv money, the ticketmaster dosh, and 7th place earnings, hopefully it wont be a problem..

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think there's any need to start a petition to keep Baines, not yet anyway. I mean the board have done nothing, not even started talks with United. So a petition would be sort of like accusing them of something they haven't done.

Either way the Baines transfer saga will be sorted one way or the other with Everton due to fly out to Idoniesia for the tournament Moyes i feel will want it sorted if Man u are to put a bid in and wont want this hanging over the player when trying to prepare for next season i think Moyes would of learned his lesson with what happend with Arteta last year if Baines is to be sold he will want time to reinvest the money back into the team if its gonna happen it will be this week id say so we can just get on with it cause to be honest im bored with it now peanuts will be an Everton player by the end of the week.Stef the blue

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Arteta deal was done weeks before, the board sold him on deadline day to have an excuse that they didnt have time to bring anybody in

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure there is a Baines saga. Everton say no contact, no bids, no enquiries. Man Utd say no contact, no bids, no enquiries. Ferguson has a history of not buying older players, this has got to be paper talk based on no facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta deal was far from done long before he went, arsenal only bidded 2 weeks before deadline, we told them he was under valued at that price, they gave there last bid of 10 million that we rejected, the deal was dead with a day or 2 to go, arteta then pleaded with moyes, that he had give us some good years and he would like a crack at the CL, moyes decided he would give him his wish and gave the go ahead for the deal to go through, you really need to get you facts right! thats why hes the only player we didnt really get value for!

Does anyone else laugh at the arrogance of LFC fans saying "Newcastle offering £13million is a piss take" and so on? Do they not understand business; that a club is entitled to offer or value a player as much or as little as they want? Clueless.

Dandan217

Believable3 Unbelievable0

For the first time ever I have to agree with the Liverpool fans. It is a piss take Dandan. There's no way in the world he's worth that much! I think they should hold out for 500k.

It's been a long known fact that Mexican winger Giovanni Dos Santos is looking to exit White Hart Lane. Tottenham are willing to sell at the right price, however Dos Santos is able to leave when his contract expires in 6 months time. If we need a winger (and his wage bills are cheap) then I definitely think that he is player the Toffees should be looking at if he does get released on a free. Have no Idea why Tottenham want to release him, twice the player Lennon is. Thoughts?

I Would love for us to have the funds to get Holtby, he's talented and is passionate about the club and would welcome a move to us. Unfortunately he's starting to attract alot of attention and we will more than likely miss out on him. C'mon Bill pull a rabbit out of your hat and make it happen.

SydneyBlue

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Hes a free agent in a years time, perhaps then?
Joe EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

As Sydney said Joe, he's attracting attention. When players become free agents it's like vampires to blood.

Teams will throw ridiculous wages at him and we won't be able to compete. We can only hope he likes Everton as much as has been reported.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

If Holtby does become free then he will have to decide to go with his heart or his head, but he is still young so there might yet be a chance he would choose Everton over money.

Sky Bet have slashed the odds on michael owens next club . Stoke her odds on to be his next club and everton were 12/1 . Now the odds were taken off the Sky Bet page for a week and are now back on there and he is now 1/2 to join everton and the bookies must know something .

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Are they the same bookies that said moyes was a cert for tottenham. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Odds don't always predict the future mate. Just look at recent events. I just hope the bookies are wrong with this one. Don't want him after he's turned us down in the past.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have him on pay as you play/score/assist - load it so he's getting paid to perform - not sit on bench
But he can't expect to be first choice ahead of jela - but he'd be a good back up - better than vic etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky Bet do this all the time, if professional gamblers see odds of 1/2 then they think it's free money and bet on it, it then doesn't happen and Skybet clean up! I'm not saying he isn't coming just don't believe a anything say.

I'm with ed025 I'm not too keen on berbatov to be honest If we were to have one I would rather have Owen I think for the amount of game time either of them would get with us Owen would be a better, cheaper option.
My Personal opinion however is that all these rumours about players like Owen, berbatov and Defoe are just speculation, Moyes is probably looking at a better, younger and cheaper option.

SydneyBlue

Believable5 Unbelievable0

To be honest I wouldnt want Owen at all or Berbatov for that matter,as you said Moyes will be looking at cheaper alternatives. By the way Ed Ive just left a word from now on as Degsy said rather than an email.

On ssn it says dimitar berbatov is available for 5 million pounds.......... GET YOUR CHECKBOOK OUT BILL!!!!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Berba would link well with jelavic, but I feel Naismith and jelavic will be a deadly combination next season

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - im not berba,s biggest fan to be honest, but i think your right about naismith bez..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't his wages be an issue? I personally wouldn't want him. He's a very lazy player who just lets everyone else run their nuts off for him. At Everton I like to see everyone working hard... No exceptions. I think Moyes thinks that way too.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

He said he wants to play in the Champions League in this country or Europe that counts us out.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need/want him..Berba's too much like Jelly in that they both are more about one-touch play, and you want a bit of diversity up front, so I reckon we need someone with a bit of pace, like Naismith, to partner Jelavic.
Murf {Ed025's Note - i agree murf..

TBH i dont think we are worth 120 million as bill says if we had listed the club at 60-70 million first then maybe the owners of man city would've invested in everton

PakistaniBlue {Ed051's Note - I agree mate, who is going to pay £120 then but need stadium, players and keep the same chairman

I think Pienaar will be signed over the next few days. Then to concentrate on Phillips and some others.

Ste1878 {Ed051's Note - Would like to see him at everton

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Philips would be an excellent signing, but I have a feeling Blackpool would want big money for him as a lot of top teams have been linked with him

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i thought about £4m bez...but have been told that i am miles out...so you may be right..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, I would like ince and Phillips from Blackpool if we could find the money

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - so would i mate..but phillips would be my first choice..

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant see phillips being over expensive.. he has never played in championship.. whats on his contract?

Ste1878 {Ed025's Note - he plays in the championship now ste!..he has also played in the prem with blackpool mate..

Man Utd seem to be delaying this Baines situation. Imo I seriously hope it doesn't happen, however, if it does if it does... But alls I keep reading is that they are getting ready to bid.. If your gonna bid, make a bid ffs... In the end we gonna end up losing out on near the end of the window or transfer deadline day and not be able to spend like with mikel arteta.. so if baines is going to go the deal needs to be done asap so we can get a new lb and begin some buying.. as i said, i hope baines remains playing in the blue shirt of everton!!

Ste1878 {Ed025's Note - im with you ste..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Wouldn't surprise me if Utd wait until the week we play them before making a bid for Baines as they know it would destabilise us in the run up to the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

With you and if we keep delaying man utd will pay lets say 12 million and moyesy will come under pressure and sell him

PakistaniBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is to go, I would take £16M+ and get it wrapped up asap... we cant be doing with a messed up season.. like when we played arsenal and lescott played.. we got battered because all the press and news articles etc were damaging the players.. So if hes going, it needs to be a done deal as soon as,

Personally I think we need to add a striker and another defender as well.as piernaar . Although Rodwell is not everyones favourite he had started to blossom before his injury. Add Barkley and another one to watch junior then there is 3 extra midfielders.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Barkley and lundstrom looked fantastic prospects from the England u19 showing BUT neither are ready for the Premiership. A year out on loan for both would be most sensible as whilst they each have nice skill on the ball coupled with good vision and passing ability, both have a big tendency to lose the ball too regularly in critical areas of the pitch , far too regularly.
At a push you could play Barkley on the right for a few games but absolutely not in the middle.
That said BOTH are going to brilliant in two years - no doubt at all.

Nick O {Ed025's Note - a lot of sense there nick..

Agree0 Disagree0

Then Man United will come and steal them from us Nick. Thats the fear anyway....

Dimitar Berbatov wants to leave Mnchester United, I would love to take him at Everton and the friendship between Fergie and God could make this deal and decent one for us.. Just a thought
