Everton should sign drenthe at least till January and then cash in on him leaving us money for a rm or rb he's easily £7mil+ player to the tight manager and team.

We could really be a force to be reckoned with next season, the thing is in jelavic we have a striker that scores goals, the team can play sh*te for the start of the season and we will still get results because he will score goals {Ed025's Note - he needs someone to help him though mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Weve known that we need someone better than cahill for some time he was great in the past but has lost that spark

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that Cahill isnt the answer. As good as he was, he is now only a threat at set-pieces. We need someone alongside Jelavic who keeps defenders occupied. Liverpools defenders had an easy time in the semi with only Jelavic to worry about. They had suarez and Carroll who were both a threat. Another striker who looks like scoring is a must in the summer

for some reason my post arnt coming trough!
well if it does is there any news on mohammed diame? kevin doyle? matt Jarvis? DRENTHE(he is a liability told yas) and Rodelaga and what about n'zogbia hopefully if AV go down we could throw ina little bid ED?

toffee haz {Ed025's Note - i have not seen your posts haz...there will not be any transfer news for a while mate, but i do remember your concerns over royston..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

It must have been Ed007 when you were away, What are your thoughts on Royston? {Ed025's Note - i think he is a very talented guy..who needs to grow up! ...moyes is not the most forgiving of guys if people let him down haz, so it would be no surprise if he never wears the shirt again!..

Someone said it took Kenny a year to win a cup. It took him 100 mil to win a cup no one else wanted. If Moyes was given 100 mil this summer we would get 4th an a cup. Moyes has turned us from a relagation candidate with 0 assets in to a top 7 club with assets. Moyes simply needs to win something but doesn't seem to no how. He and his team cower at the big occasion. He was given his chance by Fergie in 2009. When he played a 2nd string Utd side that we only just beat on pens. Then chocked at Wembely.
The only problem I have with Moyes is his transfers. He buys great players but he doesn't buy GAME changers. An about 27 goalies {Ed025's Note - i agree with most of that mate..

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Moyes spending isnt always right 5 million on a centre half who played 1 game 10 on bilyaledinov

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a reply to a post that said like. Liverpool spent 100mln so they should be like man city.i.e. Stronge as man city.
Well to that post i replied that, mancity are spending the same amount for last 3-4 yrs , n it took them 300mln n 3 yrs to win a cup. Which we did in a year only. that is what the point. And never mind wel spend more 100mln this year too.
as far as *If MOYES HAD 100mln thing is said...Every guy thinks he can bend it like beckham until he has the ball at his feet in real. Sure everton will be stronger but there is no need to compair

Bill Kenwright is a joke of a chairman he should be out looking for a buyer for Everton but instead his main concern is starting a acting career in coronation street wot a joke I can't belliuve it move on bill {Ed025's Note - show some compassion!.....betty is not cold yet!

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Bettys not cold Ed but Bill will be hoping her hotpots are. He won't have to pay the VAT that way. {Ed025's Note - nice one mate...pukka pies are getting binned, and bettys hotpot is now the staple diet of all fans..

Agree0 Disagree0

Starting an acting career? What are you on about that's where he made his money you numpty!

Predictions for the weekend ed? I am going to go fro a draw at old trafford, i think we can win the race for 7th against the reds, as our league form is very good and we will have pineaar back on sunday.

Don't know about anyone else but would love too see victor Moses playing for everton next season, I see him playing a centre attacking mid or centre forward just in and around jelly making runs he's quick fast an strong and he has 5 goals this season which isn't great but he's playing in a team with little creativity around him so withbplayers like pienaar and osman around him I think he could really be the business and if moyes were to leave I would want either Roberto Martinez(always gets his tactics spot on or Swansea manager(forgot his name but plays great football) only question is do we have the players for that type of game? What you think ed? {Ed025's Note - i think you sound like me!...they are all my thoughts...your not a stalker are you?....lol

I want to get peoples feeling on the following
Everton are playing a kinda 4231 formation. Back 4, midfield 2 and striker we are ok but that bloody 3 are offering nothing (osman, cahill, gueye). I personally think we arent far away from having a really good team but weve gotta get better than those 3 if we want to move on. Im not just picking on those 3 players id include coleman, anichebe also. {Ed025's Note - no arguments from me!...are they the kind of guys you want in a battle..no!

For me, we are missing Mikel Arteta desperately. He took a lot of abuse from stupid inidividuals who claimed he was a crab and did nothing but he was important to Everton's style of play. He took the ball from the defenders and played as a quarterback, which is very important in terms of keeping the ball and creating play. We have 2 players in Fellaini and Gibson, who whilst they are comfortable on the ball, they aren't willing to take it from the defenders and dictate play. It seems like the only player who is willing to do that these days is either Pienaar, who plays outwide or Ross Barkley from what I've seen. I just don't know how were going to be able to change our style of play {Ed025's Note - i agree mate, we are really missing mikel..he made things happen for us..

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I pressed disagree,i dnt think we do miss arteta, did we miss him against sunderland twice, city and chelsea at home,no we didnt, fans biggin up gibson before sat and now these player arent gud enough,we lose as a team and the team jus didnt perform,on the day,end off,its no one players fault and i was disappointed in moyes sayin before the game that everyone wanted liverpool to lose, talk about doin dogleash team talk for him,it was a very big mistake in my book, true blue, efc 4 life {lEd025's Note - fair point true blue...i would have liked arteta as well as gibbo...not instead..

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree, I think we are brilliant at winning and passing the ball from midfield but we miss that creative cm that can win the ball as well as run it out and have the creativity to be really dangerous. shame is them sorts of cm's are few and far apart and would cost big cash! although i would love moysey to unearth a gem from somewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

We do miss creative spark but arteta jus wasnt the same in last 18months and money 2good 2 turn down, personally its a massive summer for davy and the players,i think preseason barkley and other youngsters need to be bedded in and ready for next season, nev ,ossie ,cahill wil hav 2 take backseat, true blue, efc 4 life {Ed025's Note - you may be right true blue...it will depend on whether we have funds to invest in new players, as to when the kids get a chance..

Agree0 Disagree0

Every top team wants barcley we dont play him insane

Sometime ago we were linked with Olic at Bayern. Anything in that Ed? He's a great player and Croation so could link up well with The Jellyman next season.
If not then I think Rodallega would be a decent signing on a free, just to give us a little extra up top.
For me though, dependant on money I know, but the best signings we could make are Pienarr and Donnovan, if we could get them both I'd be a happy man and I think it would really make us stronger.
What do you think?
Mickey Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - olic is well out of our price range mickey...but rodallega would be a good signing, and if we got landon and peanuts, i would be doing handstands mate..

Moyes has his faults but right now there's no one better to be at the helm of our club. I hope money arrives and i hope moyes can use it and use it well. If not, im sure someone new would come in but i will always look at moyes era as a very good one where he made us respectable again and it be fun (in general) to support everton on the most limited of funds

Believable6 Unbelievable5

I applaud your positive attitude mate. I'm proud that we do so well on very little money. Our youth system is fantastic and we are building for the future all the time. Yes, I would like to see trophies but I personally wouldn't get the same satisfaction if we bought our way to glory. It would be a sad sad day without homegrown talent (like our Tony Hibbert) at our club. Players that have stuck with the team and are proud to wear the shirt... I grumble all the time about defensive play and 4-5-1 but I still think Moyes is possibly the only one who can continue to get us high league positions on that budget. Everton are a club that other teams should look up to. We are an honest, hard working team that represents football in a way that money can't buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say I completely agree with these two posts! We have our problems but I am still proud of this club and the way we do things and what we stand for...
aflm78

Agree0 Disagree0

Hibbet has been a great pro for everton but is sell by date was long ago as neville and osman moyes as never moved on

Agree0 Disagree0

You've bought most of your players just because you spend less it doesn't mean you're not buying to be where you are, every team in the world does it..so i dnt get your point. {Ed025's Note - the point is...you have spent 20 times more than us, and are behind us in the league!..as lord sugar would say.."your fired"..

Agree0 Disagree0

1 point, weheyyyy lets see how long that lasts Ed25...and in business you have to take outgoings into consideration..

All that matters is winning trophies, all the big clubs spent £££ to be where they are, just because another team has the financial clout there's no reason to be bitter

This is won of our worst runs in the league in 50 years, still we have a trophy, in the final for another and you are only 1 point infront of us.

You talked too soon before the semi-final (yes it was me who caught you out saying that the "power is shifting blah blah") and I think you're talking too soon again.

If we win two trophies, you can finished one place above us, that's not success in Liverpools eyes but obviously is in yous lot eyes. Good luck with that.

Has anyone heard anything on the transfer front? my mate who's a chelsea fan reckons they're in for heitinga which I think is BS tbh, although It wouldn't surprise me if they came in for him in the summer {Ed025's Note - thats the first i have heard mate..

just a thought but could even 8th possibly get Europa league if Chelsea win the fa cup and the champions league? because 5 and 6th will get it anyway, and even if we don't get 7th spot Liverpool already has European football, although that is probably unlikely anyway but you know {Ed025's Note - barcelona will soon put paid to that!..

Andy {Ed025's Note - i get your point andy...but the..scouse scum comment?...how dare you!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Is it just me that would love to see abit more of jose baxter, he has been brilliant over the last two seasons in the reserves and his partnership with ross barkley looks class at the moment, there is a few more i'd like to see given a chance befroe the end of the season (joao silva, junior, tolos ect) but If anyone derserves it at the moment its deffo baxter {Ed025's Note - maybe as a sub from the bench, as it is very important to finish as high as we can, the higher we finish, the more dosh we get, and that could be the difference as to whether we get peanuts or not, so now is not the time for experimentation !!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I do agree ed, but we need to be trying players like baxter and silva before we go out splashing the cash on other players in the summer... although it is important to try and get as many points as we can because although its a long shot, if chelsea win the champions league or newcastle slip up we could just have a shot {Ed025's Note - these guys are constantly monitored, and if deemed good enough, will get their chance..

Is is just me or does anyone else think Roysten Drenthe wants to jog on straight away?
The guy obviously has talent, talent that we really could have done with on Saturday, but after his 'disciplinary' problems he is just a waste of a loan player.
Moysie gave him a chance to sort himself out and this is how he repays us.
Hope your reading this Roysten! Do us all a favour and hang up your boots you Selfish tart! Many of us would give our right arms to have the talent you have and look how you behave!
Get out our club! Get out our country!

I think we should try, Barkley and Baxter supporting jelavic! Obviously in two different games but I think it wouldn't be too bad to give it ago because what I have seen of Baxter in the reserves he plays well!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Baxter is not a first team player, he is well off the pace in the short time i've seen him in the first team. Personally i'd just keep loaning him out to develop but if unsuccessful (which I think would definitely happen) then just ship him out to the first bidder.

Hi all Blues.

Firstly, I want to congratulate you as fans for your impeccable behaviour in the minutes silence. Its moving to see footballing rivalries put aside and see merseyside unite. As a red, I'm happy with the result. As form goes I believed it was your year. Thankfully not, but a great effort anyway.

All the best guys, hopefully we don't gave to wait another 20 odd years for another Mersey-wembely day

im worried moyes will go to spurs or chelsea to win a trophy because 10 years is a long wait for a great manager, if he goes i wish all the best of luck and i hope for Bredon Rodgers or Roberto Di Mateo

Believable3 Unbelievable8

I still laugh at the thought of Champs League teams going after Moyes.

That 2nd half against Liverpool at Wembley showed the real side of Moyes, and to me, shows he doesn't have that winning.killer instinct.

I mean take a look at the 3 real big games for Moyes, the Wembley games, yes, he did win against United, but that was a 2nd string United side and we didn't HAVE A SHOT ON GOAL!. Chelsea and Liverpool game very similar, took the lead, and then Moyes shat himself and went extra negative, and in the end cost us.

To me, that shows Moyes' mentality in big games, honestly who would want a manager like that? I mean 4 wins in 22 derbies? I don't think any Champs League teams will go after him to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, he is a good manager for us, as we would struggle without him, but he doesn't impress me in the big games

for all the money liverpool have spent they should be like city but its backfiered on them because they think there still a top 4 team but at the moment there a top 8 somethings going right for us to be finishing above a team that spent 165 million compared to our 6 million all season (1/2 million gibson 5.5 jelavic) so shows spirit beats money

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Keep saying that to yoyourself day and night. As its all you can do

Agree0 Disagree0

They could be like city?..... Well who wants to be like them? Lol.
And as far as money goes mancity spent 100mln for 3 years to win their 1st cup a fa cup. Thats 300mln and 3yrs and liverpool has done it in only 100mln and 1yr they might go one better in cups.
Stop bening jealous that we have money. For that matter we spent only 47mln in total. N if there nothing wrong in manc, real madrid, barca doing it then y us? {Ed025's Note - because we like them!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well mr Ed u people better keep hateing us co thats the only thing u can do.
N a as liverpool fan i dont care what it takes 100mln or 1000000billions for mr henry to Take us back where we belong.if he can spend he better do coz that is what all people LIKE. teams buying trophies. {Ed025's Note - hate is a strong word mate, i dont think i actually hate anyone!...but i do dislike people who revel in others misery, banter is fine, so long as you respect the line, but to some of your guys. you are so far over the line that the line is a dot!...no one likes a smart arse, and reading other teams posts, you seem to have lost a lot of respect. your banter used to be witty and often quite funny, but now seems to have deteriorated to vitriolic hate and jealousy to teams who are enjoying more success, and all i can say is....shame on you...

Agree0 Disagree0

Well i might have been a bit to harsh but come on...what else i supposed to do when many posts read here like 100mln garbage or pile of ..... AS a fan im supposed to be bothered.
and whats this thing abt other peoples banter and your banter, we are talking abt football .the game it self is a symbol of unity . and its just that ur poster compared us to manc ..which angered me. lol {Ed025's Note - its not you personally mate...its the snidey nasty comments that are made by people who should know better..

I fully believe in David Moyes, and I know we all become "great Coaches/Managers...after the Match, but for the life of me I cannot understand why we always make Liverpool look a much better side than they actually are. Jamie Carragher must have thought he was out for a stroll in the Park with his kids for most of the Semi-Final. We have to stop using just one striker up top with either Cahill/Fellaini or Osman playing just behind...its madness. Skirtel marked Jelavic and all Carragher had to do was deal with Cahill a few times, the rest of the match he was a spare player for them. I can only assume Moyes thinks we are not strong enough in Midfield,no matter who we play,so that's why Cahill is always deeper. We badly need a "powerhouse, driving" midfielder and another top striker to play 2 up top side by side all the time. Liverpool played Suarez & Carroll ,which kept both Heitinga & Distin fully occupied throughout the match. We even do this all the time at Goodison. Oh for a Midfield 4 of Trevor Steven,Paul Bracewell,Peter Reid and Kevin Sheedy......absolute perfection. Come on Blues lets have a strong finish and hopefully get Moyes to sign another longterm Contract, sign Piennar and maybe another 2/3 real quality players for next season. Good Luck Blues.
