I think we will go with a team of

Howard

Neville Distin Jags Baines

Fellaini

Osman Gueye

Cahill

Vestellios

What ya think ED {Ed024's Note - Not a bad shout fella, what about Drenthe and Denis

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I hope he starts drenthe on saturday, he certainly looked sharp and raring to go in the reserve match, great capture by moyes

Bez the blue

Agree2 Disagree0

Just playing with ten then?

Agree4 Disagree0

Gueye and drenthe are really going to boost our attacking options this season as well as velios. Baines and drenthe will be great on the left flank. I think it will be a good result for the blues this weekend

Agree0 Disagree0

Denis will probably get a run out as a sub again on saturday, i hope velios starts has he has looked great in glimpses recently, do you think we should start drenthe and velios ed?

Bez the blue {Ed001's Note - I think Drenthe should start, but Velios would require a change of system in my opinion. While I prefer the 4-4-2 system, Moyes clearly favours 1 up top.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 1, how do you think everton will do this season??

Bez the blue {Ed001's Note - I think Everton will be battling for the UEFA Cup places, 6th or 7th. I think it will depend on Spurs and their injuries as to who gets 6th.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Vellios didn't play for the reserves mid-week nor was he a sub, I think he may start!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we dont sell anybody in january then i think top 7, but it really does depend on what happens in the next trnsfer window! I dont mind if we dont buy anyone (be nice thou) but we have to keep what we have! Got a fantastic team with talented youngsters coming through, im very optimistic of a europa league spot :-)

Dear Respected Sir, Mr Fellaini

I would much appreciate it if you go ahead and sign the contract which we are offering. I'd be happy to offer you almost any amount of money within reason. You say you want to go and play champions league football but i can tell you that if you stay with the club for the next 3 - 5 years and we also keep the rest of our young stars, we will be there. I beleive that if you stay with everton it will set a standard - a high standard, where our fellow younsters like barkley will want to stay at everton because big players want to be at everton. Having said that, if your love for everton isnt there quite frankly im happy to put you on a plane elsewhere for a handy 25mil which will come in very handy to purchase some players who compliment the likes of drenthe, coleman, baines, vellios, barkley, rodwell, gueye, jagielka. Or infact almost completey wipe off our debts with Barclays, making us a much more attractive option to invest/buy.
If you could get back to us in the shortest possible amount of time, it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
AussieBlue on behalf of my fellow evertonians.

Haha, cheers boys

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Ed and others, do you beleive we can be fighting for top 5 spots if we keep our youth?

AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - i think we are as good as spurs and arsenal...so why not!, the crucial time will be if we get a few injuries, we have a lot of youngsters in our squad, and only time will tell if they are up to the task..

Agree1 Disagree0

Top 7 is realistic to me, we have a good team with real attacking options for a change, i can see us surprising a few people this season

Agree1 Disagree0

Wot happens wen the the 2 new lads leave . {Ed025's Note - who said they are leaving?..

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes has a squad that can challenge for top 6 and not being in europe might help us concentrate on our league position and keep players fresh

I think we should bring Donovan and Pienaar back in january, Donovan on loan and i'm pretty sure the 3.5 million spurs paid would get him back, options all over the park and we'd have an attacking midfield three as good as anyone. I would like to see Drenthe tried on the right-wing as well to see what he offers cutting in on his left foot.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Peanuts has burned his bridges, I hope that Spurs bench is nice and comfy for him!

Agree4 Disagree0

Yea peanuts was great but don't want him back he can get woodworm in his arse for all i care, he is not bigger than the blues
we put him on the map and he s**t on us

Agree3 Disagree1

Why bring him back the bloke in the elephant suit is not ready to retire yet?

Not looking forward yo the january transfer window! I feel unless we get a new owner or inveestment then we will lose some important players to champion league clubs, fellani and barkley are my main concerns!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

The fellaini contract talks have been positive by all accounts, so hopefully there will be some good news there, as for barkley i think the united links were just paper talk, like they used to link them with rodwell when i don't think they were really interested. I agree that those two are our main assets and we need to do all we can to keep them and build a team around them.

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't remember the last time that I looked forward to any transfer window. However, I do think that things are going to get better and that's what keeps me hanging on in there. In the meantime I would love to see Vellios get a decent run out on Saturday. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree1 Disagree0

Velios could be the surprise package this season, he looked great when he came on as sub against villa, i think most fans would put him ahead of anichebe in the pecking order.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would put my mum ahead of Anichebe and she's on DLA cos she struggles to walk

Agree1 Disagree0

I am hoping velios and denis come good this season, i am hoping that at least one of them can step up to the mark and maybe get us 12+goals

Reason to be cheerful gueye, velios, got for next to nothing showing great promise drenth was the next big thing before signing for real madrid denis the menace looks great on you tube barkley has the wow factor rodwell could step in and reach his potential the defence is as good as anything in the premiership could moyes chalenge the top teams without spending money it definatly looks posible look at coleman 250k. Moyes could have found some gems and to me the outlook is positive so come on the blues

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Moyes has a great track record in the transfer market, he is great at developing players and getting the best out of them
