You'd think that playing the reigning champions would attract a near-capacity crowd, but who'd be surprised if we only just got over 30,000 tomorrow? I'd happily be proved wrong about this match and told I don't know what I'm writing about, but another rubbish performance and I'm convinced future attendances will dwindle. How many fans will take the DM approach and wait until the end of the season before deciding if they'll be attending regularly next year? Of course most will - we've no choice but to feed our addiction to Everton. And the cynical powers-that-be at Goodison know that only too well. Bloody hell, this is the worst I've felt about supporting Everton - and I've supported them through thick and thin since way back in the 1960s.

about time we tried 3 5 2 with heitinga Duffy and distan as the 3, Baines and Coleman wing backs, Gibson fellaini and peanuts, and mirallas and jelavic. We need something different as we are too predictable

Send that to dm. sounds good to me

"The decision at the end of the season will be made by me and the players and how well we all do together, how high we finish in the league. It's never changed. " What on earth does that mean? They will get together over a cup of tea and decide Moyses future together. come on, just be honest, and say what the sticking point is! The tension in his face says. "anyone pushes me and I will walk out of the conference. " Just simple honesty would bring a lot of people back to listen to you, David.

Wow. was there a pre-press conference or what? It was as though the press guys had been told to not mention various matters because it was a nothing of a conference, with practically nothing illuminated and the face on Moyse told much more than his words.

what do people think of Manuel Pellegrini of Malaga as our new manager, used to working on tight budget and is leaving at the end of the season and is not on as much as MOYES.

BILLY BONG

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Don't Malaga have one of the wealthiest owners in the world? Would have thought their manager has had a lot to spend.

BitterBlue {Ed039's Note - Malaga have severe financial difficulties and their players are for sale to meet their obligations, I think this might impact on their managers future, although I dont see it at Everton with the greatest of respect)

Out of our league mate, he's been mentioned with chelsea, man city, Arsenal and Real madrid can't for the life of me think why he would want to come to everton with our board.

Mucha

Coleman Duffy Distin Baines

Hitzlsperger Gibson

Mirallas Fellaini Pienaar

Jelavic

Thats the starting XI I'd like to see against City.

Subs

Springthorpe
Heitinga
Ovideo
Vellios
Osman
Barkley
Anichebe

Plenty of with and hopefully get at them down the flanks, I know Moyes won't start like that but that's how I'd play.

He's going to play Heitinga and Osman Instead of Hitzlsperger and Duffy.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Good team choice I will have that as well

Jc

Like the team youve picked other than would change the keeper to Springthorpe or anyone really, Heitinga any good in Goal like?

Sell Fellaini to Chelsea with De Bruyne permanent and possibly Courtois on loan part of the deal. buy Honda at a knock down price and Leroy Fer. Sell Naismith & Gueye and buy a decent centre back, we have enough good youth players to cover for Naismith & Gueye. Team next season:

Courtois

Coleman
Jagielka
Distin/New CB
Baines

De Bruyne
Fer
Gibson/Barkley
Pienaar

Honda
Mirallas

the echo are linking us with a summer move for Japanese midfielder, honda.
now who buys the players, if its moyes then does this mean he is staying and planning for the future? if he wanted to stay he should have signed by now, all this is affecting the whole club

Believable1 Unbelievable1

It's the echo reporting it so I wouldn't take much notice. It would be a top signing though if it did come off, both on the field and commercially. It would raise our profile in Japan and spread the word about EFC. And for a knock-down price, it's a no-brainer, which is why it most likely won't happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Its that time of the year rob23, season ticket renewals time. with the future of our manager up in the air it amazes me why we are being linked with anyone?. There can only be one reason for that, season ticket sales. The red echo must be on a commission off bk and the board reporting that rumour and imo total bullsh. t. The only Honda we will see at goodison will more than likely be the delivery lads from the chippy on goodison road.

Lets get a straight answer from moyes either he is staying or he's going. If he wants to go let him and give the youngsters a go for the rest of the season.

Agree totally mate were safe and give the youngsters ago as they look hungry and McCleny is a scouser as well, give the regulars a kick up the ass

Agree0 Disagree0

What do expect him 2 do, this position was always guna happen due to a board who pull the rug from under him. he's not gona let the players down by resigning mid season. we have a chance of European football next season. agree not a good situation, but to me there was a breakdown in jan between moyes and board, and to me he's probably gone in the summer,. the simple fact is are anger should be at a inept board who have took the plaudits when team has done well. when in truth they've done nothing. kenwright out

I have just been looking back at our recent results we had a decent January, February we dropped 2pts against Villa (they beat our neighbours)got beat against Utd at Old trafford which most teams do then we through away a lead against Norwich which is something to be upset at but it can happen in the premier league. If we can erase the Wigan PERFORMANCE out of our memory I think a win Saturday and some might agree we have gone a bit OTT with all the doom and gloom let's get behind the blues 2 home games and 2 wins next imagine then going into the game at white hart lane with a bit of regained optimism we may start to believe again we have lost less games than all teams outside to two Manchester teams, we have played some attractive football this season creating lots of chances. Nobody was moaning then about DM playing for clean sheets or making Jelavic run out wide and tracking back. Yes I would like DM to sign his contract to stop all the uncertainty and do think certain things could have been done better, if DM was under a long contract now he wouldn't be getting this abuse it would all be directed soley towards the board, but let's look at the big picture here I believe the more you read all the negative posts the more you believe things are a lot worse than they actually are. Yes we have a tough run in Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea but these are our rivals for european football so our fate is in our own hands if we want it and start getting our confidence back I don't see why we cannot beat these sides.
Just thought I would do a post with a half full pint rather than a half empty one for a change for us blues to read. Cheers {Ed025's Note - good post that robbie, i think the guys are a bit down because the season promised such great hope before january...but your right mate, we still have a lot to play for..COYB..
