You heard anything on the player apparently signing by next Monday. I heard from a good source (my brother) that it will be a powerful midfielder. I personally hope Diame

Heard last night felli to utd, cleverly part of the deal. played under Martinez for a year at Wigan. don't know how true. would anyone be happy if we ended up with cleverly and mc carthy if felli went to utd. baines to sign new deal {Ed025's Note - not me..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't be happy with that - but since when has "being happy" been part of being an Everton supporter?

Agree0 Disagree0

Or me

I've not had season ticket for over ten years, but last season prob went 8-10 games
This season I'm getting one and a junior to share with my 12 yr old daughter and 5 yr old son to share, I don't fancy family enclosure, can anyone advice me on the place so sit for the season, not forgetting I've got five yr old with me
Thanks at Helens blue

Lower bullens

If you want a nice relaxed game, go in the Park End. If you want a good atmosphere, choose the Gwladys.

Seats in both stands are good, but the Gwladys is awesome.

And the Main Stand is OK. I've never sat there, but I think it's a good stand for kids, but I'd say Gwladys is the best place to choose.

pk end. Take my grandson there - he's 6 no obstructive views either. A good atmosphere.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been a few places around the ground with the kids. We've had a season ticket in Park end, Bullens lower, Main stand and last season the Family enclosure.

Main stand is the best for view but the Family enclosure is good for the kids. They can get close to the players before kick off and loads of other kids and dad's to chat with and the atmosphere is still pretty good. Bullens and mainstand are good viewing but not the best atmosphere.

Not the Gwlady. I'm back there next season and expect to be swearing and abusing as much as I possibly can again, like the rest in there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stick to the family enclosure, as the gwladys is too bad for the children for the swearing and the bitterness

Agree0 Disagree0

Id strongly advise not the gwladys street with a 5yr old, passionate fans but language can get tasty and sometimes the cigarettes have a strange fragrance ha, prob best not too near the away fans aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm in the Paddock with my 6 year old and 4 year old and it's great. Loads of sound people around us and we're almost at the front so the kids stand by the wall so they can see easily. Not far frrom the away fans either so the kids get plenty of atmosphere and banter (whether they like it or not ;) )

Agree0 Disagree0

I found the family enclosure only had seats available near the corner flags - and then the view of the 'far' half was poor, especially for kids who cannot 'read' the game from that distance
you also still get some swearing in the family enclosure which is pathetic

and some fellas stood up quite a bit to see what was happening in the other half, so blocking view of kids behind them which is also a bit out of order

whereever you go has good points and bad points (Gwladys good atmos but lot of swearing - park end excitement of behind goal but reduced view of other half - top balcony has a great view but you feel a bit detached

main stand and bullens half way line is good but no seats available!

Hi ed well it looks like we won't be getting Honda than! It was exciting while it lasted. Do you still think we will get a big signing coming in? Also with Martinez publicly stating that felly is key do you think he will convince or has convinced him to stay? Thanks ed! {Ed025's Note - it does seem we have lost out on honda si..shame..i hope felli stays mate, or if he does go, i hope its soon, so we can get in a quality replacement..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Man u are going to bid 35 mil for fabregas so can't see them going for fellaini! Come on ken get alderweild and honda!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2013 12:29:02
If united don't pull off This fabregas deal, surely Fellaini is their next target.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It looks like utd are after a midfield passer the 2 players they been looking at are so different to felleni it's to replace scholes so don't see the big fella as that replacement

Morning Ed and fellow Blues!

Do you expect us to sign anyone this week?

DiscoDave

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2013 12:57:05
I think we will Dave, as our Ed has stated I think we are going to make a marquee signing for quite a few quid, we have only spent appx 6 milion so far and TV revenue is massive, I would still hope that we have 20 million to spend without sales so come on Bobby M pick your man.

You know what too mate it will probably be someone has not been mentioned at all in any posts.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ta Degsy.

If the player (s) we sign are anything like the calibre of what has been touted i'd be over the moon!

Just a side note – Manchester United have reportedly just bid £26m for Cesc Fabregas. He’s a Completely different player to Felli. If that deal goes through, do you think we’ll still loose Felli?

Just read a joke that tickled my funny bone.
A certain satellite TV company has acquired the rights to the World Origami Championships. Unfortunately, it'll only be available on paper view.

Was just wondering. Moyes said Gibson is having surgery in the summer. Does anyone know if he has had it? If so what a remarkable recovery. I don't think he has had it

TC

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good point. Anyone know for sure?
The news back in April was that he "may need" or "is likely to need" surgery on a persistent thigh problem. It didn't sound definite back then, so maybe it wasn't needed after all.

Is RM the sort of manager who likes to send promising young players out on loan in order to develop, or does he prefer to keep them in-house so that they can be more closely coached and developed by him and his staff? Anyone know what his record was like at his previous clubs in this particular regard?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why Cowpat?. Do you think keeping them and coaching them in house is better than them actually getting proper footballing experience?

Agree0 Disagree0

My question was about RM and what he did at his previous clubs - I wasn't expressing, or hinting at, a preference.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sid, bit of both mate, sent the likes of Kiernan, Golobart, Dicho, Redmond and even Mc Manaman on loan over the last couple of seasons when at Wigan, but kept the likes of Fyife and Bingham in the reserves.

Dont be fooled by the hype though mate. I see a lot of Evertonians coming on saying that he will give the youngsters a chance, but i'm not convinced.

Took him six months too long to let McManaman loose, never played Henriquez, Campadal, Golobart, Fyife, (all highly rated and players he brought in) to name a few.

Good luck for the season.

After watching today's game and it was evident last season, we need pace and power in the midfield. Diame and Moses is exactly what we need. Would only cost around £12m for them both

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of course mate. RM. football style is very fast and hard. Even Felli may not fast enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the OP: which of our current squad (if any!) has the power and pace to play as you describe?

Agree0 Disagree0

Felleni will play as cm next season Martinez might be free flowing football but you need ball winners as well

Agree0 Disagree0

All our pace is on the flanks

Really hope we can replace Fellaini with a similar player Liverpool and Spurs are chasing.

An Eriksen or Bernard, somebody of that stature, would really excite me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really hope we don't replace Fellaini at all! He'd be impossible to replace anyway. Where else are you going to find a 6 ft + beast who scores goals behind the front man even though he's a DM and who's hair is bigger and better than Tina Turners! I say it once and I'll say it again, if we sell our best players we'll be doomed and i'm pretty sure we'll be towards the bottom half of the table this coming season. The two best signings we can make this season are the two we already have!
