Everyone seems very keen on stats, so could anyone help me with a stat, how many pens have been givern to those in the top eight, club by club. ps already know ours, big fat 0.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Arsenal - 2
Liverpool - 2
Chelsea - 3
Man City - 3
Everton - 0
Tottenham - 3
Newcastle - 0
Man Utd - 2

Granted, we're not the only ones with 0, but it is a little silly we haven't had any. I can't claim we should have had a lot, but definitely at least 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Baines trip in the box v cardiff was a nailed on pen, also Coleman v spurs. If these had been awarded and converted we would be top of the league or there abouts

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

Regardless of those pens I believe we should be top league look back at some silly draws we had Norwich gave away lead twice palace away 0-0 but hey all teams will look back to where they should of took more, I am over the moon how the change in manager has took place and how we play some breathtaking football that's only going to get better as we only been playing for 15 matches

Agree0 Disagree0

The incident at Cardiff (Medel on Baines) was as clear cut as they're ever likely to come yet it was waived away by the same man who awarded the pen against Barry on Saturday. How many of the sky 4-6 would've been penalised with that at home, probably 0? Then there was the one at Man City, also nailed on, much more so than the one they received in the same game. We'd be at least 2 points better off without this blatant cheating. They obviously don't want us gate crashing the party.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the push on Lukaku early on in the match at the Etihad?! If we'd been given that I believe we could have gone on & won that match. That would also have meant that we'd still be unbeaten this season. Money talks, (especially in football!)

That bald ref who gave pen against barry is as bent as they come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Osman's was a penalty away to City. If we got awarded that we woulda stuffed em 1-8 :p

Heard a cheeky little rumour about us scouting Gaitan of Benfica- any news? If it wasn't NG why did we have scouts at Benfica last week ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Maybe Nemanja Matic?

Agree0 Disagree0

Matic Is out our price range. Gaitan is more believable, but still unlikely

Really is great to be an evertonian at the moment, we are playing lovely attacking football, our defense has improved as has our attacking flow, all of our players are scoring, under moyes it was always fellaini, baines or the striker who scored now though anyone can score and it just shows how well our team is working together, the huge improvement of tim howard, seamus coleman, steven pienaar and the rise of ross barkley added on to our signings have just shown what bobby is capable of, there is no telling how far we can go or if we will go far but at least we will always give it our all, great team, great staff, great manager and the greatest fans in the world are what make this club so special and what make it a joy to support them, we will have bad days sure but the good days will be something to remember, we play with all our heart and that will never change no matter what happens to our club and at the moment its all positives, the school of science is back and the spirit of the mighty blues is as strong as ever! Hi ed. Why do Man U think they can have first choice on all our top players . The papers say they will offer tom cleverley in the deal .why would we take a player who is, nt as good as Barkley and make us weaker .i would, nt have any more transfers with united . If we did have to sell Barkley the price has got to be 50million, and hope Chelsea and City are interested so he did, nt go to Man U .

Dont worry mate and trust in Bobby, there is no way he would allow Cleverley to ever play for us

He is the worst footballer ever, no i'm not joking he actually is talentless, has no ability at all, I don't know how to get this across, he is literally awful bring bret angell back or bring back simon davies, they are gods compared to cleverley, this is not a joke, he is the single worst footballer in the world if we sign him we may aswell give up champions league, he is just *sigh*, I swear to god I mean it, the worst player ever. ever. Mike-Ox Long

You don't rate him then Mike.

I think he's brilliant. Holds the ball well. sees a cutting pass, shoots well.
Only joking Mike.

2 words for cleverley.headless chicken. i'd be distraught if he came to us.had his good 5 games ages ago.id rather have young and that's saying sumit.

Forgive me if i'm wrong but did Cleverley not make his name at Wigan on loan under Martinez? Have a sneeky feeling i'm right and that Martinez rates the guy. I personally think he is similar to McCarthy. He looks average at Utd because they are a team of average players and he has to do all pensioner Giggs' running.Saying that, Ross Barkley is not going anywhere. No point in speculating because he is happy at everton and just looking to play well for us and go to world cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

James McCarthy is a much better player than Tom Cleverley.

Agree0 Disagree0

You lad don't sound bitter at all, he isn't a world beater by any means but he ain't as bad as you make he look

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2013 12:48:46
No he isn't a world beater he is worse than I make him look he actually has NOTHING good going for him. Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

He has nothing good going for him? I'd say he's sitting rather pretty playing premier league football with one of the biggest clubs in the world and earning millions for the privilege. Hardly 'nothing' good going for him is it?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2013 16:22:13
wow the stupidity of that comment just leaps off the screen at me, it was obvious I meant in terms of footballing ability, phil neville has more prem titles and fa cup winning medals than ronaldo, so as we all know that means neville has more going than ronaldo, remember kids the next time 2 people are arguing about who is better ronaldo or messi remember to jump in and say phil neville is better than them both and has more going than them, haha i'm sure you won't get laughed at whatsoever

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I see, at first I missed it. Right, let's see, well he plays for Manchester United, the most successful club in England in the richest league in the world, but he has nothing going for him, how on earth does he get in the side? Played for England?, yep must have NOTHING at all about him. Neville, Ronaldo, Messi? Their relevance to this is what exactly?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2013 17:33:31
emile heskey has played for england as has phil neville they have no footballing ability so that is pointless and their relevance is simple, cleverley is playing for a premier league club so he must have some good things going for him in terms of ability well phil neville did and won more prem titles than messi and ronaldo playing for Manchester United than ronaldo did so he must have more going for him? see my point? no? you're not supposed too because I don't see your point either

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see your point for one very simple, straightforward reason - you don't have one.
My point was extremely rudimentary. Cleverley must have something to play for the premier league champions. Such a simple concept you seem unable to grasp.

Hi Eds.
Do u think we need a defo type of striker as an option to change our formation when needed, to go two up front.

Lukaku is taking two defenders out of game all the time and in theory more space for others.

I truly hope Kenright and the board back Roberto in Jan. Not so much to disrupt what we've got but to pick the right player for our squad.

Injuries could disrupt us and 'touch wood' we've been lucky so far.
A few more options to keep squads competetive edge and hopefully we won't be far away.
I think Robertos attitude is fantastic and I hope for the good of the prem league that the likes of ourselves get champions league.
However lessons learnt from spurs . having 90 million doesn't mean u get a team that blends and buys in to the coaches plans. AVB maywell start awaiting a phonecall.

Hey Guys. I'm a true Everton fan but because I don't live near Goodison I don't go a lot. Where is the best place to sit? I normally sit in the Main Stand but the pillars are in the way, and can't see the halfway line. Where is the best view? Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All depends, there are pillars all the way through.

I grew up on the Lower Gladys and think its Amazing, can't beat it for the noise.

I sit in the lower gwladys block gt7 and I think it's a very good view. good atmosphere too

Just in case SAF is considering phoning Mr Martinez whilst he's out Christmas shopping with his missus, then don't bother this year as Roberto is under contract and unlike someone else cannot be bought over the price of a cuppa!

The papers will continue to link our players with other teams because they just can't take our good form seriously. If they had their way we would be starting games in February without Baines, Barkley, Coleman, delboy and Lukaku. There is a pole on a website right now asking readers to vote for the team they think will win the league. 7 teams to choose from and guess which team isn't there? Correct, US.

They just prefer teams that splash the cash. Fickle, lazy jurnos!

I'm quite happy to see our team going about their business quietly in the background, picking off teams the way we have been doing.

You will never win anything because the press say you will. You will only win stuff by beating your opponents, something that we seem to be in the habit of doing right now.

I'm trying to think of the other two, bar United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Liverpool. Tottenham? London-based, therefore jounralists' favourite. Newcastle? Not far off the pace in terms of pushing for a top four spot, but that would be a huge about face by many writers, who were calling for Pardew's head only a few months ago. Everton are an unfashionable club, a bit like City were before they came in to money. Would rather stay that way than become a 'brand'.

Feel really sorry for Del Boy, felt some of the balls he played in were superb and would have been tap ins for a good little poacher, get well soon boy.

OK so maybe not the greatest team performance yesterday but 3 points on board and another 4 goals at Goodison. Only concern was the injury to Delboy. I've he's done his hamstring and could be out for a couple of months. Next run of games are winnable so this top 4 dream becomes ever more possible so long as the injuries don't worsen and that yellow cards are not added to. Barry and Howard both currently on 4 yellows. Hope the RS get stuffed today to make my weekend!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Idealy the reds will draw, imo better both spurs and reds draw and drop points.
