I would like to assure you it was not me who posted earlier about Ross Baeley, I will post about another Ross, Ross Barkley however, I think he can make an impact right now if needed, last season didn't he get man of match against QPR in his first prem start?, he maybe isn't good enough to be a regular starter yet, but surely he must be ready for the odd sub or cup appearance?, let's not forget about a few other youngsters such as George Green or John Lundstram but I think Ross is definitely our most talented youngster.

Yep he did and I had the pleasure of sitting in directors box for that game, he was a cut above the rest on the field on his home debut, I also got to meet him as he was motm, nice lad quite shy and timid actually but hant done much wrong and he deserves his chance in the team. moyes just doesn't have the balls for youth, had he ben at arsenal he'd of played all season

Barclay is going to be a top player good
Range of passing can shoot with both feet is one for the future still has plenty to learn needs to be stronger in the air
And in the tackle also no when to take
A touch an when to keep it moving showed against Chelsea why Moyes has
Sent him back on lone Matta read the kid like a book to many touches put his
Team in trouble and showed a lack of
Desire to get back when the ball was lost prm not place for making these mistakes once Barclay can mature on the ball we will have a gem on our hands

alrite ed. we all know moyes and the club always keep their cards close to their chest. sometimes not a bad thing in some ways but I do think its a wee bit unfair to us supporters that this contract situation is being dragged out. what will be will be I suppose but just let us know. {Ed025's Note - i just hope he is playing the bribery card mate, to get some dosh from the board..if not, he is out of order..

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I said I thought moyes was using the contract situ to get money in jan bu with the fer deal collapsing maybe he gna hold out till summer and use it again. I hope that's what he is doing, we are close to really pushing top teams if he goes so will are best players

This is no lie, I know people talk about their uncles sisters vets dentist is moyes and that but my sister used to go out with a lad named kevin, kevins little brother was mates with ross baelwy and I've played footy with Ross before (when I was about 6 or 7, ross is older than me), I'm going off topic a bit here, Ross will become a top player, I highly doubt he will flop like bostock or bentley, he will be fantastic in 2-3 years time so look forward to the future.

Forget the past, enjoy the present and look forward to the future.

We need to play 4-4-2 and just go for it now. ryanfromleic

Believable1 Unbelievable1

No we don't 4-4-2 is so outdated, plus don't you remember the home game against bolton last season when we stunk the place out playing 4-4-2 it would be no different this time.

Am I the only one who thinks we have really missed Tony Hibbert? I know he is not the worlds greatest footballer, but I really miss his tackles. I think his grit adds something to the team. Does anyone know the prognosis on him?

I think you are mate as in my opinion we've missed coleman more as he offers a hell of a lot more than hibbo going forward and is improving defensively all the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

When hibbo came back for the spurs game he shadowed Lennon out of the game. The lad is a proper defender so I'm with you degs can't wait to get him back lad. LIAM!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree degs. Great defender, very rarely you will see a winger get the better of him. We miss his grit, experience and reading of the game at right back

The new Bank of England Governor is reported to be an avid Everton fan, now that is one bloke with a lot of financial fire power who could buy the our great club (with tax payers money of course) as a sound investment for the nation, and one that will yield great dividends for years to come.
We can all dream!

Just couple of thoughts about our current position. The clamour to finish fourth seems to be overshadowing progress we have made. Mistakes were made I believe in this transfer window but they also highlight what would probably happen if we entered the Champions League. A different class of player will not flock to us until we are looking like a team who consistently compete there. And those players who would join for that reason tend to be overpriced mercenaries. we need to keep building this squad and represent a solid alternative to the transient nature of many modern clubs, if that means we end up fifth for couple more years so be it. To emphasise this look how disruptive the situation with Heitinga appears to have been. We wanted to sell no one wanted to buy at the wage level he is used to and we drop points because Moyes feels obliged to play someone who is disinterested and unwanted. Imagine a dozen first teamers like that. let's keep playing with style and passion and enjoy the ride.

Not to put the site down in any regards Eds as i'm an avid viewer and occasional poster but I have to stress any rumours about us signing anyone are so far from the truth its unreal. Why would the board sanction any pre contract deals etc when Moyes won't say if he is going to be our manager next season or not. Until Moyes signs a new deal any rumour about potential summer recruits are pure fabrication.
Personally I have adored Moyes from day 1 and still do to some extent but I have fallen a bit out of love with him, maybe not the board but us fans deserve more respect from him than what he is giving. Maybe he is tarnishing his relationship with us on purpose to make his exit easier, I don't know but to leave his long term employers and admirers in limbo like this is not the usual level of grace and respect I have come to expect of the man.
Sort it out Moyes before we turn on you and then you won't have a choice.

I have to admit that I agree with most of the post comments. I too have had a lot of faith in Moyes and the longer he stays the better his signings seem to be. Its true that he is one of the highest paid managers around, but he does have us much higher in the league than our spending power would suggest. However any hint at uncertainty over whether Moyes will sign a new contract is bound to send shock waves through the board and the players. I've always believed that you lead from the front but at the moment I don't see much sign of leadership and I'm extremely worried that this team could be quickly dismantled in the same way as our 1980's team was.
