Schalke want to get some sort of money for holtby instead of letting him go on a free transfer and we could steal him from Tottenham. Schalke want at least 2.5 mil for him and if kenwright could fork out that money he would be a quality signing. EvertonTrout any thoughts ed? {Ed025's Note - i dont know the ins and outs of the pre contract agreement trout..

Believable4 Unbelievable2

It could be a verbal or written agreement. Spurs could potentially sue for the cost of drawing up any written contract that may be in place. If it's the former I believe he has the freedom to negotiate with other clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he's been in the papers mouthing off about how 'Spurs can win the league' ! Me thinks his heart is set on a move to white hart lane !

Agree0 Disagree0

If there looking to sell it can't be binding spurs have stepped in on us a few times would be nice to get one back on them tom efc

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he's been in the papers mouthing off about how 'Spurs can win the league'

He is delusional and he needs to go the doctors to get his head examined if he thinks that.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

If we didn't want him when he was available for free, why would we now suddenly come in and pay money for him ? Doesn't make sense

Donovan and ofoe would do for me in this window if we could get them, what do you think ed?

Dave EFC {Ed025's Note - that would do nicely dave..

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Donovan would have made noises by now, Ofoe, are you sure Liverpool don't want him, looks like Forren going there. Again dithering Davy, EFC are left behind, should have had Ofoe well signed.

I posted earlier abt Qpr want odemwengie for abt £3mill"would love it if moyes had the money to go for him"just our kind of player, works hard, not greedy and knows where the back of the nets is"coyb"ryanfromleic

Believable1 Unbelievable4

No offense intended Ry, but what is with the " being put instead of a space, or in some cases a full-stop?

Keith EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you just say not greedy that is exactly what he is odemwingie's sole problem is he is greedy that's why anderlecht didn't sign him ages ago Vincent kompany confirmed that on aloto a lot of clubs are out off by is greedy play and wreckless antics on pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

He's 32 this year, not worth the punt.

Jelavic will not become a regular goalscorer in the premiership because he does nt spend enough time in the box--he is a very hard worker and runs the channels but we need to have him playing as an out and out centre forward--in order to get the best out of him he needs a strike partner which means playing 4-4 -2

when he is up front on his own he is having to do too much leg work--he needs to be "our fox in the Box" {Ed025's Note - i agree that he needs to spend more time in the box mate, he is trying too hard for me, closing down the keeper and full backs all the time..

Edd what the hell is all this about Wellbeck loan completed, this is only place that even mentions Welbeck coming to us...ssn says he's off to Reading, please let me know the reality from the bs

With fellaini apparently having a buy-out clause, if he goes this window who should be his replacement? My choice is Taarabat...Amorebieta looks set to join us inside t he next few weeks with a £500,000 bid been accepted (£500,000 because of competition from other clubs!) Any other transfer news Ed

EtidAaron

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Taarabt is a bit of a luxury player for me and isn't your typical Everton player. Don't think he'd fit in here, but he has bags of ability... when it suits him {Ed025's Note - not a moyes player though...loses the ball too easily..

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you lot serious taarbat is awful one lazy player you need a reality check you fool he is lazy he scored 2goals on 2seaons an looks like he got a belly on im if fellani leaves best affordabl replacement would be diame your thoughts ed. Blue duck

Agree0 Disagree0

That's what I said mate, luxury player, in other words doesn't do anything, not an Everton player--not a hard worker, lazy etc, wouldn't fit in--greedy, selfish, lazy etc

The only way we'll get in the top four will be if we invest in January. We need to keep all of our players, get Mirallas fit and bring in a forward. Our away fixtures are very difficult so we need to win virtually every game at home. United, Arsenal, RS, Spurs and Chelsea how many points will those games yield? Top 6 from here would be good.

For all the huffing, puffing and gusto for the cause by us fans, the truth is that Moyes is being very cagey.
Yes we need another striker, yes we need another centre midfield, yes we need a right winger, a centre back and goalkeeper, but plain a simply the money doesn't seem to be there. Is it a time for the bored to speculate to accumalte and earn the big wonga by qualifying for the champions league, it most certainly is. We will never have a better chance. Yes it is a gamble but one I think needs to be done.
I just hope that we don't burn out given the start we have had.
I definately think we are up there and with a bit more money and Moyes magic we will prove to the world our worth.

I know this would never happen but I would really love
for us to raise the funds to buy Donovan he would probably cost around 7 million and we all know he fits into our team perfectly and if we had him on the right we might be able to play Mirralas up front.

EFC Mike

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Donovan wouldn't cost 7 million? He would barely cost 3 he his old and his contract is expiring soon

Agree0 Disagree0

Even though he's left LA Galaxy

Agree0 Disagree0

I mentioned this a while back about Donovan and his contract, but apparently isn't til the end of this year ? Would love him back here and would cost no where near £7m, £2-3m tops

I don't see why Welbeck has been copping it so much over the past week on here. From his performance today he has shown me that he would have everything it takes to be an Everton player. He has bags of ability, a good attitude, is a very hard worker and he slotted into a different position with ease when he had to. I would be very happy if we were to sign him in on a loan from Man you although i'm certain Sir Alex wouldn't have that happen. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Believable5 Unbelievable3

The thing is.....no team wants to sell in January. That includes us. It is all very difficult and if anyone thinks Man City will let Milner or Lescott go or Utd will let Wellbeck go are living in cloud cuckoo land. All three played today and the top two teams need to keep winning so they have a chance of winning the premiership. Unless they have better players guaranteed coming in, they will not let those players go.

I think we need a cm with a bit of attitude about him and aggression too many of our players are respect other teams too much we are there to win not to make friends someone who will put themselves about abit not arsed if they upset the opposite team and give the fans to make a noise about when we aren't playing well sometimes a hard tackle kiss of the badge to get the fans going could be the difference in a match like yesterday the fans would have the old lady shaking

I have to say that week in week out I get wound up by negative anti-Moyes and yes anti-Everton supporters making comments when we have drawn yet another game. For goodness sakes, we have lost only 3 league games this season and if you look at the calender year of 2012, we were fantastic. Moyes has bought and sold wisely over the years in order to build the best squad we have had in decades. We play probably the best attacking football in the league. Even compared to City, Chelsea and Utd who have spent billions on their teams!
We do leak some goals and I am 100% positive that Mr Moyes realises this and has plans to deal with it. Knee jerk reactions in football usually end in disaster. Look at Blackburn Rovers as an example. Considering our finances over the last 11 years and lack of investment and also lack of regular Champions League TV money, we have improved year after year after year. In my opinion, we are now so so so close to being a real top 4 side and with minimal investment there is absolutely no reason for Mr Moyes and the team to achieve this. When supporters write in saying put Barkley in the team, or get rid of Neville or Coleman or whoever, do they realise how easy it is to cock up all the good work so far done? I even read one post yesterday saying get rid of Felli he is crap?!?! That is why just about every team in Europe would like him. I despair. Please Blues supporters try and be real. Yes we drew with Swansea. Yes we have drawn more than we should have. Remember though, that Swansea beat the European Champions 2-0 last week. Oh and the team that beat us was the European Champions! Even the top teams occasionally draw and lose games. It happens. Please get behind what is the best set of players we have had for a long long long time. When Mirrallas is back and Gibbo, we will look much better going forwards. When Hibbert is fit our right back spot will be so much better. With a bit of investment, we will be Champions. Of that I am sure!

Hello ed's and fellow blue's. I think a few of our fans were being a bit negative yesterday. Swansea came and played for a draw, 10 men behind the ball and use there pace on the counter were there tactics, and it worked. Fair play to them.
It's something we have to get used too, teams are going to come to Goodison and defend because we are a dangerous team, it's a compliment really, we just have to find a way of getting around teams that sit and defend. It's not helpful with Gibson and Mirallas in injured there two players that could unlock defenses but look at the positives a clean sheet AT LAST and on another day Jelavic and Anichebe chances may have gone in and Jagielka header in the 2nd half should of been a goal also.
Move on to the next game were still only 3 points off 3rd place with a lot of games to be played.

These draws are really no good. With 16 games to go we have to play Liverpool Away, Arsenal Away, Manchester United Away, Chelsea Away, Tottenham Away. Look at our record at these grounds and the only one we have won in ages is at Tottenham. We are good enough to win each of these games but it is going to be a monumental effort really to get that Champions League Spot. So boys lets start winning our winnable games.

I think we need 3 players in a cm for definite possibly ofoe on loan as we have no money, a striker but someone who can dribble an run at defenders with pace can't think of anyone. Then a young cb or another winger. E.g forren

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I know of a great attacking forward who can dribble and score miralis is his name lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Santo at Wigan is fast, has quick feet and ball skills reminding me of Sharpy but a couple of yards faster.
With his skills he would slot easily into our footballing style of play.
I think his contract expires in June so if DM fancies him a deal could be struck.
