Why are we suddenly being linked to loads of French strikers? Loic Remy was linked yesterday, Wissam Ben Yedder and Kevin Gameiro linked today and now I read that L'Equipe says we want Guilherme Hoarau! Surely we dont want them all, any truth in any of them Ed?

for stoke i would play vellios because huth+shawcross... tortoises go quicker, so maybe if mirralles not fit play ozzy wide and Felli in cm with vellios and jela up front.
I would not change mate too many teams change there stlye against Stoke and play into there hands Fellaini will use his muscle up there against there big defence and with Gibson in the midfield our service will be cracking .ps lets have a go at them lets make them change.Stef the blue
The key to this game is how much Gibbo, Peanuts and Bainsey can form the triangle passing and open them up to get the telling crosses in. That added to Mirralles running directly at defenders. If we cant get these into the game we will struggle. Of course if we finally keep a clean sheet that will help. I can't even remember the last one? Degsypulford

Someone please reiterate to me my thoughts that this article is rubbish before I get too excited! Apparently we are linked with nani, gamiero, Ben yedder and lescott! I can't see us affording one let alone all four!!

The Nani article was a piss take, the others, whilst they seem ambitious, talks are at an advanced stage with the 2 French guys...apparently, and the guy in the daily mirror reporting it is very close to Blue Bill supposedly so there may be some truth to it. I can't see both coming in if I'm honest

The transfer rumours should be put to bed. Moyes has stated that we wont be spending money in the transfer window unless we sell first.
With how well the team is doing why would we want to sell anyone just for the sake of being able to buy.
At best fringe players will leave but this surely wont generate any more than 3-5 million at most.
I think we may get 1 or 2 loans in but that will be all

Seeing as we're usually skint, we have to generate some funds from player sales, and I'd put my house on it that Heitinga is sold for around £5m, replaced for free by Lescott (maybe) or Forren £2m then the rest will go into what we already have set aside. Odjidja will come on loan and we'll maybe have enough for one of Gameiro/ Ben Yedder {Ed025's Note - that would do nicely..

Stoke is going to be a tough game away but if Moyes sends the team out all guns blazing we can win too many team change there formation and style going there because of the way they play we attacked them last year there and nearly won so more of the same please Moyes ...show them no fear Stef the blue .

refer to earlier post about mertens at finch farm the mail on line reported 17th august 2010 moyes interested in mertens when he was at f c utrecht.maybe there is truth in this one
