Just wondering if anyone thinks we will see any of the new boys that came in late, on Saturday against Southampton, can't see to many being out of shape because of playing at the world cup, and I would of thought zouma would of been back training anyway.

Possibly one of the centre backs either starting or on the bench with Jags suspended. Not sure how long he is suspended for though.

Even though I think it's was a bad decision to send jag's off it makes the captains armband interesting for Saturday.

Good point. It gives the other lads a chance to make that cb space there own. I hope he has a hard time getting back in the team for Everton

And we must be the happiest fans in the league after that deadline day football did come home it come home to Everton.

I think the unlikely inclusions would be Gomes as injured and Bernard probably on the bench, he wasn’t at the World Cup and don’t think he had a preseason as a free agent so will likely be slowly moved in.
Zouma is the most likely inclusion from the off as he’s accustomed to the Prem and we don’t want to make wholesale changes.

BillyBob I hope he has a hard time getting back in but only because his replacement has played well and deserves to stay in

Jagielka has been a great player for Everton and I'm sure you meant the same as me but just wanted to clarify it.

wouldn't mind seeing zouma and keane on sat, maybe too soon for mina and Bernard, mina more than likely bench, Bernard has played 5 games all year so I don't think youll see him for a couple weeks, maybe throw him in the carabao cup fixtures well have along with gomes.

Don't think it was a wrong or bad decision to send Jags off (rules of the game) but what we should expect is that, that referee/ all referees to be consistent.

Only one real contender for captain for me and that's Seamus Coleman I think he has more of a presence in the team than than any other, I would maybe consider Leighton Baines.

Ok. Confession time. I've been looking at Bernard's clips on YouTube. I know I know, but have you seen this guy? He's mint!

I know he's only the size of a 2018 Snickers bar, but he's so tricky and can change direction like nothing I've seen. Really looking forward to seeing how this one gets on in the Prem.

Hes also pretty strong for his size and puts himself about. I'm really interested where he's going to play.

Haha Big Sam saying he knew 2 months before getting sacked, he knows people who were telling him.
Guess what I'm a fan and have no inside info but I could of told him that 1st day of job that's why he was offered till end of season contract.

Sadly true, not the way to run a club.

And taking all the credit when we win but blaming the players when we lose is no way to manage a team.

I find it shocking that this guy asks for upfront honesty from his employers when he has been found wanting in that department for large parts of his career.

And as for being big enough to take it, when he was caught in the act whilst coaching England all he did was say he was a victim of a sting. Couldn’t take responsibility then so I’m not convinced he’d have taken it from the club either.

Good morning blues, my prediction for Saturday is a 3.0 win for the blues really impressive football we played against wolves and even when we went down to ten ten men. I'm really looking forward to the game against Southampton also the players movement has improved dramatically I like the way we are switching the play aswell Silva is going to bring a lot of joy to our faces this season coyb.

How good is it to have a manager not talking utter crap, hope it continues. Asking the team for maximum effort and pushing them, not talking himself up.

Richarlison i think will fast become the biggest fan favourite since Cahill if he keeps working as hard as he did and giving his shirt to young fans, what a top lad.

I cannot believe big sam on Goals on Sunday he said he saved Everton and got us playing great football. I am a season ticket holder and remember a run of games over Xmas were we had 7 shots on goal, in 6 matches. He never play our young players or sent them out on loan. I truelly believed he came here for the money and had intention of staying the second season. If he had he would of never sent lookman
On loan.

To be fair Blue, I agree with what you say, but the board also had no intention of employing him a further year. He basically got double wages to keep us up, borne by the fact he was only offered an initial 1 year contract. He said he new he was out 2 months prior as did the tea lady. No doubt he played crap football but what did we realistically expect? Sour grapes for sure from him. Marco was always the target so, yes, he went for the money.

I am still embarrassed by the club and many fellow supporters to there attitude towards Sam. He came in to do a job and like any bounty hunter got as much money as he could, cannot blame him. He got treated like rubbish but kept us up.
He did say in the interview he allways did what he was asked to do at every club and they sacked him everytime. Maybe they should have asked him for more because he allways delivered.
We are still in the prem thanks to him so leave him alone.
I wonder how long before everyone slags Silva off, early days.

{Ed025's Note - im afraid your on your own with that DC..

13 Aug 2018 18:03:07
Like someone already stated, he was offered a contracted till the end of the season, he held us to ransom for a longer contract, even thou he new it was only to save us, he did very well out of it, he did what was asked, and got paid double, we owe him nothing, but a thanks.

I've tried forgetting that Sam was our manager but he keeps popping up.

His ranting lately and his constant childish behaviour in calling Marco Mario on purpose just shows how little he knew what managing Everton is all about.

Bobby and Koeman to be fair to them have not been bitchy and just got on with things since they left, although with a tidy sum in their back pockets.

To be fair to him though the board should never, ever have hired him and we should never make that mistake again.
