Difficult to see where Barkley would get a game in this Spurs side?
Difficult to see where Del Boy would get a game in this Barcelona side?
Whoops he's already playing who would of thought 6months ago he would be playing next to Messi at camp nou, looks way out of his depth.

He's playing due to the fact the Barcelona squad isn't all that anymore, if Coutinho or dembele are signed it'll be goodnight 'del-boy'he looked awful in the game today just not suited to the Barcelona style think if he could build his strength he'd be best heading the prem again or maybe Italy.

Bact to work tomorrow after my 2 weeks holidays so wasn't in the best mood, paid a quick visit to the other lots pages and all of a sudden things don't seem so bad, Coutinho hands in a transfer request and they descend in to Armageddon, it's a complete joke and reading some of their comments had me in absolute stitches, only a few weeks ago they were all sharing Klopps picture in Ibiza and now he's clueless, this time next year he will be Celtic manager.

I'm amazed at the Liverpool supporters reaction after one game. They're back in the CL and made improvements last year. They were saying they were going to win everything after beating Bayern. And I thought we had some moaners.

Looks like R K has switched to Danny Wellbeck for a striker now that Olivier Giroud has decided to stay with Arsenal that is if we are to believe Wenger and the rags, any comments on if this is a good move, if it is true and R K believes in him that's good enough for me, GuernseyBlue.

Does anyone know who our sleeve sponsor is?

Looking at the fixture list, 3 points vital yesterday so all good so far. Sig and number 9 before man city would be ideal. Just watched Man U batter a very poor looking west ham and think we will do a lot better against them than the hammers did. My personal choice would be Benteke, really can't see why he would want to stay at palace after the start they've had. So everyone has now played and we are.7th! Our fave position! Really do believe with a few more additions we will improve on last year. For me, best money spent so far? Pickford and keane . COYB.

7th is where I predict we will finish (especially after that unconvincing performance) unless as you say we get sig and a striker.

Will get sig, striker, winger and c/ back, finish in top 4, plus win a cup.

You are right mate I said the same a couple of weeks ago I reckon he would find it hard to get the top 6,cheers mate GuernseyBlue.

Great to begin with max points. think tom davis brings energy and more drive to our midfield, so hope he is a regular. he can only get better. charlie Nicholas spoke about balance or lack of it yesterday. fair criticism. whoever koemans first choice midfield is going to be. hope next forward signing is going to bring pace and craft. not too many available but surely Walsh has given ronald some options outside the names mentioned.
Definitely hope holgate and Kenny challenge Martina down the right.
Great to have a keeper in command. bring on Hadjuk Split. City game will give us an idea of how far we are along the development road.

ed25. Do you think that Williams back to swansea could break the log jam over the deal?
And just a thought, but bring in Gibson to take his place, the defence would suddenley start to look water tight.

{Ed025's Note - that would be perfect for me JCW but i dont know how feasible that would be mate..

I talked about this the other day, although might be difficult.
Another possible destination could be to see about a swap with Southampton for Virgil, that would be some coup if we could pull that one off!

The Rooney debate not just on his return to us but more with pundits and fans around the country saying he was finished at top level, the legs are gone, I've always thought absolutely rubbish Rooneys game was not just pace you don't have the career he has had by just using pace, he has a football brain and yesterday was a masterclass to all these young English players for future reference. I said 3 years ago Rooney is not happy and within the last 2 seasons his personal goals were achieved so it left a hole where he was not having anything left to achieve his hunger was gone.
His move back to us was one that I knew would happen at some stage and it was the move that would get his hunger back, that celebration yesterday was well words can't explain it but his happiness is there for all to see and I saw a tweet from his misses a while ago saying good luck but most of all your happiness which to me she knows Wayne has not been happy for a while.
Can Wayne get us to top 4 absolutely he is a class act and one thing he has always done is prove critics pundits wrong.

The impact of Pickford. I know it's early days etc etc but having said that so far he couldn't have been much better.

Last season we were prone to conceding through goalkeeper error. Whilst Pickford will concede through error, all keepers do, the number will be dramatically reduced. I can see that bringing another 4 or 5 points on its own. That alone could well see the team on the coat tails of the top 6 regardless of any hoped for outfield improvement.

Pickford saved us dropping two late points today so money well spent!

for me the big test for Pickford was how he would cope with long periods of inactivity and then being called on to pull off a big save or interception and I think yesterday proved he has that in his locker he was also very decisive and in control of the box. He is going to look a bargain at £30 mil.

I agree ToffeeAl. He wasn't my first choice when we were looking for a new GK and i said the same about his concentration, can he do nothing for so long but still be alert and ready. i'm very happy to be proved wrong and he certainly looks to be a very solid aquisition.
