What is the story with the fixtures? We are due to play Arsenal next weekend and then nothing until 3rd of April. Every weekend until the end of the season there is a fixture in premiership.

There is 3 games to be re-arranged on top of that Sunderland, Other half and whatever team we are playing the weekend of the 24th of April because its the semi of FA cup that weekend.

So will fixtures be brought forward to last 2 weeks of March. because it looks pretty full after the 3rd of April.

Anyone know about these 3 fixtures and if we have any games in March after Arsenal?

there is a internationel break mate for shitty freindlys.

13 Mar 2016 00:21:22
It's because of the FIFA International Match Calendar, which sets the dates to be used for international matches. The next matches are during 21st to 29th March.
FIFA insist that the matches under this calendar - whether official (World Cup or Euro qualifiers) or friendlies -, take precedence over domestic matches.
England are playing friendlies on 26th and 29th March - other international teams on other days during the 21st/ 29th period.
Everton will surely have many players involved. Players must be released for between 2 and 5 days depending on the type of fixture (official or friendly) and the travel involved.
So, there really aren't any available dates for Everton to play a rearranged PL fixture between playing Arsenal (19th March and playing ManUtd (3rd April) .
Also, the CL and EL fixtures are using up a lot of mid-weeks in April and May and UEFA don't like domestic games clashing with those.
It's quite the fixture pileup, but we'd surely rather have FA Cup success and deal with rearranged (whenever! ) PL fixtures.

Thank you toffeepaul and Cowpat Sid 2. No doubt Cowpat we'd rather be in the FA cup. Not a bad complaint really 😊.

I really, really enjoyed the game this evening. After the bitter disappointment of the West Ham game last week we bounced back like Tigger on acid.
Fast, slick moves going forward and some tight and tenacious tackling at the back. The midfield held its own and we never looked overwhelmed.
Chelsea for all their low points this season are still a quality act and not that much different from the team who turned over other teams at will not that long ago.
For all his faults so far Martinez got his tactics spot on this evening, Barry put up with lot of off the ball sly digs from Costa and kept him in his place for the majority of the game.
Coleman was back to his best and strongly reminded me of Stuart Pearce the way he got at their defence and never backed down when they got in his face.
As for Lukaku and Barkley, great understanding and they look to be close friends as well, always the first to the other to celebrate.
All in all a great night to be a blue and so so proud after last week's capitulation. Not bothered who we get in the semis, in this form we're a match for anyone.

{Ed025's Note - the difference for me RIB was that the old lady was rocking, im sure farhad would have been impressed mate..

12 Mar 2016 22:35:36
Agreed Ed, there's certainly something special about playing under the floodlights at Goodison.
The Old Lady was rocking like The Who at Leeds tonight, when the crowd backs the team like that it's the best place in the world to be.
If our new investor had any misgivings about what it means to follow Everton then surely he's learned tonight.
As a small bloke with red hair once said, " once Everton has touched you, nothing will ever be the same".
Proud to be a blue tonight.

It's a two-way thing between the fans and the team.
When the team is delivering a convincing performance, then GP rocks. Correspondingly, if the fans are in good voice, then the players are encouraged and play with verve and confidence.
Is was great to see the fans AND the team all doing their bit to get the win.
Credit to RM who got it right.

For the amount of goals Rom has scored for us this season we can ask pretty much any price we want. He is under contract don't forget so just bang a 60million price tag on his head they will soon look elsewhere, also we don't have to sell anymore not like the old days.

Last week I said Lukaku doesn't score enough with his chances. Today is the reason I believe he hasn't. He is all class and when on song he is unbeatable. I love Barkley. Two assists and even though his first half was average, second half was brilliant. As an Evertonian through and through following us is like having a schizophrenic wife. You just don't know what you are going to get. But tonight we have the good fun loving wife.

Chelsea fan here just to say well done you deserved it well and truly against that what we call a team more passion and heart from your boys, Costa fully justified to be sent off he was looking for it all game, lukaku is head and shoulders better and plays more fairly, anyway hope you now go and win it, well played again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Mar 2016 08:43:08
Thought Barry was brilliant throughout. Didn't think he deserved a yellow for his part in the Costa sideshow. Jags as well. His reading of the game was superb. Lennon played very well. Rom takes the headlines deservedly for that goal, especially with the Chelsea connection, but also I have to say as one who thinks Martinez has been awful for the last two seasons, his game management when we went two up was good today and we saw the game out without any real scares. For me, the thought that we (he! ) might actually have learned something is as good as getting to the semi.

todays game is vital for both teams who ever loses there season is over, I personally think Chelsea aren't use to this situation and it will suite everton better, plus I can't see us losing 3 home games on the bounce and revenge is on the cards please please can we turn up at goodison for once this season won't be easy and every player needs to treat this game as it should be and need to show us how much they want it, will the suffering we have endured we deserve a break. C. O. Y. B give my 7 year old son something to cement his love for you.

Just read a good article about Mike Trebilcock in the Mail. Not many of us who who were at the 1966 game at Wembley are still alive I would imagine. Mike who is now living in some remote area of Australia is looking old, bit like me unfortunately. What a remarkable comeback he started. It's now 50 years since that great win and it must be a good omen. Just three more wins and we will have the FA cup back were it belongs. I hope the Old Lady is rocking tomorrow, unfortunately I can't be there but I will be wearing my Everton shirt and hoping that we have another Trebilcock on the pitch.

Blimey Mike making me feel old I was there I was 14 at the time. What a year I use to walk all round Goodison each day during that summer as all the roads round Goodison were decorated for the world cup . I went to the games at Goodison with my dad and saw the great Pele get kicked sadly virtually off the pitch.
feel very sad at mo the way brown shoeshas behaved .
hope we win today but he must go.

{Ed007's Note - Sorry buddy but Bayern Munich confirmed before Christmas that Carlo Ancelotti will replace Pep Guardiola next season.}
