Hear our friends across the park are looking for a new coach, have sent then Martinez's C/V, but, am not holding my breath, even though he would be PHENOMENAL.

{Ed001's Note - it would be a great birthday present for Ed025. I think it would finish off all the editors covering the Liverpool site if it did happen though. It would literally melt the servers with all the moaning!}

I am really concerned at the way our club seems to be heading at this time, after a reasonable run in the EL but a poor league position for us last season we seem to have no direction going forward.
RM says he has a strategy and has a list of players he hopes to get tied up earlier on this year.
However there is no doubt an unsettled atmosphere in the current squad, with rumours abound about McCarthy, Lukaku, mirallas and Garbutt even stalling on a new contract.
The targeted players are not really being named in the press rumours and as we all know these emanate from many sources within two clubs, players and agents, let face it we all knew cleverly was coming over 6 months ago.
So why nothing concrete and again the silence from the clubs Manager and directors is as ever deafening.
Maybe as usual I expect to much as I'm only a fan!

Everton have the following, Coleman, Garbutt, Stones, Barkley, Lukaku and McCarthy, all good quality and talented and the club should be doing their best to keep these players happy as they form the backbone for many years to come. The fact reports are heard that Lukaku want Champion league then all players who pull on the club shirt should be saying the same thing. That's why they are at the club.
It sickens me to hear Lukaku, Garbutt and now McCarthy are at odds with the club for whatever the reason and only confirms in my eyes bad management by the manager or /and the board.
It seems "want champions league" is the current way to ask for a transfer without incurring financial penalties by the player.
They get paid mega bucks to play for the club and should give 100% as individuals, as a team to aim for Champions League for the benefit of themselves, the club, the board and lastly but more important the fans.
Remember the club motto.
The club must do all possible to keep those at the club. There are 3 future long term England international players amongst them, which the club should be proud to have plus the others. It shouldn't take a great deal to make what is a good team into a great team for years to come. Give the fans the team they are asking for.

one of the ed's mentioned something which I agree with. for me when players say they want Champions League Football they mainly mean Champions League wages, it's so true. Mirallas is a good player and imo could be one of the best in the league and maybe Europe if he wanted too but is not consistent enough. look at the best wingers, Arjen Robben, Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazrad, they turn up for 90% of games, Ronaldo 99% of games. Mirallas turns up for about 15% of games a seaso non, not good enough. if he wants more money, he should try selling that nasty looking gold Bentley he has. Lukaku is still learning and until he has a top season I cannot see a massive team coming in for him. Mccarthy is ambitious but I know he loves the club and loves the fans. he is on 30k a week, Barkley is on 60k and Cleverley is on 50k, he is 100x the players they are combined. he should be annoyed but I don't think it has anything to do with Champo Football, yet.

Swan, the trouble with KM is,
if he read your post he would get the hump with you!

Because he truly believes that he IS the BEST in the league and Europe!

However re-McCarthy yes, he is worth a damn sight more ffs.

Erm, I agree Swan!

He has so much potential but he is all me, me, me. To be in the CL you can't just turn up when you fancy it or when another club is showing an interest. He also needs to think about his team mates once in a while.

Lukaku is not doing enough in games or dominating as he should for the big boys to come in for him. If he showed the same aggression as say a Costa he would be picked up pretty quickly and we would get a more sizeable sum than the 28mil we paid out.
