Naismith doesn't look the best on the wing but then again that's not his position no striker would look good on the wing recon we will see a better player next season even if he is just a squad player end of the day it's not like we broke the bank to land him give him time and show him support everton is a family a religion so let's show him why we are the peoples club

Taz {Ed025's Note - well said taz..

What most people don't understand is why Moyes keeps bringing him on into that position when there are better options on the bench Oviedo and Kennedy are both decent wide players. Vellios has proven as a striker he has more impact. I wouldnt even mind seeing Mcaleny given a chance as he is clever and can unlock a defence.

Was in hospitality suite for game today, and chatting to Duncan McKenzie before kick off - he reckons Mirallas is only a week away from a return. Really hope that's true as we were clueless in final third today. Anichebe has got his part to play in the team, but we really missed Mirallas today.... Big Vic just didn't cut it

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Why always single victor out for critisism he was no worse than jelavic and fellaini

Agree0 Disagree0

Because he is lazy, reminds me of heskey, built like a brick rubbishhouse but goes down too easily

Gutted about today but just have to look forward to the next game, however I felt as though Neville was useless today and don't get me started on Anichebe, he doesn't run and how anyone can say he works hard every game is beyond me!, unbelievably lazy, some positives were that Vellios got another 5 minute run out, moyes needs to start playing him more and Naismith does work hard but does not contribute or do anything else, Swansea are a decent team, I'm relatively content but still disappointed about today, anyone else notice Del Bosque at the game today watching Michu ?, shame he never came to watch Arteta!.

Comments on the comments we had the best of possession and dominated the midfield but lacked the spark in front of goal, booing was a disgrace, velios and ovieda should get more playing time, jelavich would benefit from being dropped and brought on from the bench, we would have struggled without felaini, but if moyes could get 25m plus i think he should take it and buy a center mid, attacking mid, striker, central defender, and goalkeeper if he can for the feli money plus sell heitinger, mucha, and guye, the squad could do with a freshen up and more competition. thgfest

All these sayin jelavic has lost his touch"every striker as times when they don't score"he runs the attack line well on his own"today"neville and pienaar had chences to feed him through but nothing!!!coleman played well least we kept a clean sheet"my first time at goodison'wish we got 3 points but its not the end of the world"am sure moyes will bring 1 or 2 fresh faces in"just hope that we take our chanes better in the next games"ryanfromleic"ps"stef the atmos was brill"

There are positives to take away from the game lads. Vellios looked great when he came on, kept a clean sheet against a decent attack (Michu) and like always felaini, pienaar and baines played well. we would have beaten them with our full strength team with mirallas and gibson

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Coleman had a belter too! And I much prefer the defensive pairing of Jags and Distin, we look a lot more solid with those two at the heart of the defence!

Fully agreed but doesn't your comment just highlight the fact we need strengthening this window.Got a feeling there is a CM comin in though or the Moyesiah wouldn't of let Ross out on loan.Guaranteed!COYB!!

Frustrating day today, we battered Swansea but just couldn't find that killer pass, or bit of luck. Why all the moaning, we're in a great position!!
However....
Games like today where teams are gonna sit in and invite us on that I don't see what Neville is in the side for, he's a great player and club man, but has nothing going forward.!

Don't even get me started about Naismith, he makes some of the most shocking decisions ive seen, he picks the wrong pass and is constantly caught out of position, yes he's a great work horse but again in games like today we need a little bit more than he offers, Vellios needs more game time, he looks comfortable in the box, and seems on the same wavlenght as the jellyman!

cant believe our fans booing the team at the end of the game . minus the chelsea result were on a good run and playing the best football we have seen at goodison for a long time. on a different day could have been 3 nil at half time . we all have off days .

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Totally agree got into argument at end of game over this.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought it was more to do with the time wasting and negative tactics employed by Swansea.... It was a crap game to watch.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair I did boo but it's the fact that Fellaini was the only player who was working his arse off and Baines and Pienaar just weren't weaving their magic today, the performance just wasn't worth the money...

Don't rate Naismith what so ever!

Believable5 Unbelievable2

He is GASH. All this talk about him getting up to speed and getting used to the league is nonsense. He's just crap, plain and simple. No ability whatsoever. I'd get rid now for a nominal fee, poundland may fancy him.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to the lad, he's not a wide man; but I know what you're saying, he always looks nervous on the ball and always makes the wrong decisions. What he has got though is pace, and determination. I'd like to see him play more central once Mirallas is back, he wasn't necessarily prolific for Rangers, but he definitely played a lot better for them when he played alongside Jela.

Usual persons slating the players again, you must be dead proud of yourself kicking someone when they are clearly lacking confidence, hope he doesnt read these pages because you are an embarassment to us

Agree0 Disagree0

He is scared to tackle!

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes as tried everyone there osman vic coleman we only were balanced with donovan there play them in there positions and they play better look at osman now we, d still be slagging him if he was out wide give naismith a break play him behind jelovic like at rangers and youll see a different player moyes loves playing players out of position id prefer felenni back in midfield and give velious a go up front we wouldnt be so predictable tom efc

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gutted that we didn't win today for you today mate, considering you came...

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2013 18:30:39
Where's the urgency and desire to win? Some of our guys are taking it easy when we should be busting a gut to get champs league - it's now or never. maybe some of em don't want it cos they know we'd go up a level and leave them behind? distin looks like he's happy to stroll it around at the back and nearly had his one goal cock up per game in that mix up moment - neville never plays a forward ball - way too negative - just completely lacklustre - champs league disappearing over the hill I reckon without mirrallas and gibbo - FFs fellas at least get some urgency into things and look like you're trying to win matches! {Ed025's Note - bit unfair that mate...bad day at the office for me..onwards and upwards..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Ed025 you never accept other peoples point of view and never allow criticism.
take off your blue tinted glasses we were crap today

stewillow {Ed025's Note - i do ste..but guys like you expect us to win every game!...you always put a negative spin on things, and yes we never played great today, but that happens in football, but moaning like a little girl wont help either...so get a grip!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025 and you being happy as larry every time we play crap won't help either.whats the point if this site if you don't allow people their say.lets keep it real eh?

stewillow {ed025's note - i do let people have their say ste..but just dont expect me to agree with posts that i deem unfair!..im just a supporter like you mate, the difference being, that i dont slag them off all the time, i just dont see the point in it, by all means criticise the side if your not happy, and i will post them, but lets not be silly about it..

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2013 18:22:51
What does Moyes see in Naismith?! he turns into a potato in front of goal, he can't do anything but run. He's a bench warmer at best. Also, Vellios should be played more, he can get hold and bring others in around him, even under pressure in the box and he is positive minded, he's not afraid to try things. Moyes needs to be braver and take more risks like trophy winning managers do.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

12 Jan 2013 18:14:17
not great, we seemed to run out of ideas, the sooner mirrals and gibson come back the better, anyway a point is better than none and we got a clean sheet, kep our heads up, 3 points at southampton coyb {Ed025's Note - hes right guys..its not the end of the world..

How many saves did howard have too make today... one or two, should of put swansea to bed but with the lack of finishing and ten men behind the ball as swansea did it was always going to be tough.

I don't understand how jelly man is so poor! I mean he is drastically bad like he should be playin a different game, he should be burying the chances he gets he even looks like he knows he won't score! Only positive today is that tottenham lost! Every single everton player looked like the cba and to be honest I don't rate fellaini and for 22m being touted around id snap there hand off, he is clumsy can't pass or shoot save his life and when he plays every other player feels that best way play is kick it up field! Rant over

Ant wharton

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Are you for real? I don't think there's one single thing i agree with in your post- even the bit about spuds losing!

Spurs drew

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't even be bothered to reply with constructive criticism to this post. Disappointed yes......but we had 4 times as many attempts as Swansea and we are 5th in the league having lost only 3 games this season. What else do you want mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

You snd like a typicall r/s who slates every1 wen we drop points, go and support ( and I use the term loosely ) another team. What you said about Fellaini is just rediculous

You sure you're a Blue?
Ste Old Swan

Agree0 Disagree0

Says a lot were disappointed we drew angst a team who gone to arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool and won held Man U, .move on from it take any positives we can, for me probably abit tired today we've got nine days till Southampton were I think Weil win, Swansea are a good team in good form it happens {Ed025's Note - it does mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I meant spurs drew! And honestlt were not good enough! Too many average players and I for one would hate to see us play a chamions league team cuz without mirralas were awful

Ant wharton

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini comments are true and I am a blue but if you seriously think keeping fellaini when we could get 22m and seriously invest is the answer your deluded! Watch felli closeky and yes he has his artributes but passisng is always over or under hit!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Yeahh, why did Neville get the nod over Hitzlsperger and why Moyes keeps putting Naismith on over Oviedo I'll never know...sort it out Davie.

Murf

Agree0 Disagree0

A nice bit of knee jerking going on here i see. Get a grip will you anyone would think we had lost.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look on the bright side. It was a poor performance but we still should have won with the chances we created. And we kept a clean sheet so it's not all bad. Some poor individual performances but, Coleman seems to be improving with each game. Onwards and upwards from here

Agree0 Disagree0

I know, dm brings those players in and still stickes with nev and naismith, Oviedo could of made an inpact i think, vellios should of been put on earlier too, never mind lets just hope the beast is unleashed next game(mirallas)lol

Westy

Agree0 Disagree0

Very poor today and when you look at the bench you just know he is gonna bring naismith on. Velios must be seriously pissed off getting 5 minutes here and there.what is he meant to do in that time? So predictable Moyes.Anichebe didn't look interested today and yet he keeps him on for 83 minutes.
Another missed opportunity.

gonna miss out big time on champions league unless another quality forward brought in now not on last day of transfer window this week before southampton game no pressure on jelavic at all no competiton every club in top six have at least 3 if not 4 forwards half decent forwards need to be beating swansea at home even if they are a good side {Ed025's Note - your right mate..

Very poor performance today and a drab game lets put this to bed now.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We were not poor Swansea just defended very well and nullified the threat from our left side. The sooner we get Kev back the better so we can stop teams overloading the left hand side.

Everton boast a formidable record against the Swans having never lost a competitive fixture against them. The Blues won the first meeting between the clubs 5-1 in 1930 and have since recorded 10 more victories. There have also been four draws.

Moyes should think about selling Heitinga and Gueye as we have Duffy and Ovideo now, and with that money he should be someone like Vadis as we need another cm as Barkley is being loaned out all the time and Gibson seems to have an injury problem, Moyes should also loan somebody like Darren Fletcher and should try and buy Graham and a new gk to put pressure on Howard...

Sadly age and lack of current form militate against Everton trading Johnny for more than 3.5 million, so if the purse strings are as tight as Moyse seems to imply, he may have to settle for keeping all and getting in one player bought and two on loan. Whatever happened to Junior who apparently Moyse said did not look out of place in pre-season games and then disappeared off the radar?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Junior is still injured i think but started back a few weeks ago
