Just watched Ramsey' s goal from midweek again and yes, it's a great goal with great technique; but it's not as good as Sharpy' s against the red side in 84.

Weak foot from that distance with the ball slightly behind him, I go for Ramsey all day, if he wernt so injury prone he'd be right up there at the min

Tim Howard has been statistically the worst goalkeeper in the Premier League this season.

The Everton stopper has saved 30 of the 53 shots opposition players have had on target against the Toffees this season, 56.6 per cent, a rate worse than every goalkeeper in the division bar Asmir Begovic. Crucially, Howard has also made an error leading to a goal this season, one more than the usually reliable Bosnian

{Ed025's Note - to be fair bretto amateurish defending in front of him has not helped mate, its so easy to blame the keeper, myself i think tim is a good keeper..

I think that's unfair. TH has also kept us in games which we could have lost. Would you rather have Robles between the posts? After last night you know the answer is no, although I do agree that we need a better back up keeper in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just passing it on but I think tim has been terrible and it time to get a new gk or two

We need a new first choice keeper, davey, I honestly cannot think of one match this season he has saved us in. i'd stick a honey badger in goal with a bikini wax and it would do a better job than either of our awful keepers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame swan our back up is even worse

Agree0 Disagree0

Got pointed out during the World Cup how quick he goes down and strikers have picked up on it but then on his day he has saved us more than once. Give Timmy the respect he deserves, he no Big Nev but then again he's miles above Rich Wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Who would people like to see between the sticks(realistically). Kasper schmeichel has to be up there he out 4-6 weeks be fit for transfer window and a good age 28 for a GK.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit harsh on tim I think don't think we need a new first choice keeper this season just a new young keeper in to challenge him next season don't think Robles is up to the job

Biggest thing that was noticeable for me is when a ball was played into our number 9 the ball stuck and his first touch was a joy to behold. please take note Romelu.

Well done to all the youngsters proud of you all

.just a thought lads. was thinking bout how to fit Garbutt straight into the 1st team after such an impressive European debut last night & the kid can cross & whip a good ball in the box consistently. how about Baines pushes up to left-side midfield allowing Garbutt in at left back? I know Bobby told Bainsey last season to go & watch Phillip Lahm in Germany & learn about his style of play, he plays in that left side position & was rated as the best in the world at it & has a World Cup winners medal to his name. just a thought really, was so impressed with Garbutt & his quality of consistent crosses into the box. he's young & fresh & will improve defensively in time!

Coz lahm plays cdm now he told baines to watch him as he thinks baines will eventually play thier . Maybe play baines cdm against qpr because of barry suspension and pla garbutt lb

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Baines wants to see garbut knock a few balls because his set piece and dead ball delivery is at the minute far better, good to see an everton player take a corner like he means it

I'm disappointed with the result last night but not the performance. Sure it would have been great to have finished unbeaten in the group but that leaves the top seeded team in the group (Lille) bottom. Divine retribution for some of their 'supporters' who behaved so disgracefully towards innocent Evertonians in the away leg.
At least we had a chance to see the youngsters and the returning wounded at the top level last night. OK so they struggled as a team in the first half and looked nervous on the big stage, but in the second half they looked the better team and deserved an equaliser at least. It was only another Robles' mistake which gifted Krasnodar their goal. Why he stopped and tried to backtrack when all he needed to do was stay close to the legs of that forward as he was moving away from the goal, I don't know. The positives can be divided into two parts:
1. The youngsters starting for the first time, namely Garbutt - who I thought was MotM, Ledson - still only 17 remember, McAleny - plenty of running, Browning - strong at the back and the two subs - who must have been made up after missing the starting line up.
2. The 'returnees'. Kone looked fully fit for the first time and could have bagged a hat trick, Oviedo - linked well with Garbutt and Piennar - captain for the night, though could have imposed himself more overall.
The only disappointments were the Russian goal, the injury to Atso and the crowd. OK so it was a meaningless game result wise and we knew there were going to be kids playing. But even with the atrocious weather, the prices lowered and the game played live on TV, the attendance was poor and Goodison was missing the atmosphere of a normal night game.
Let's now hope for a sympathetic draw close to home and a vital 3 points from QPR on Monday next week. Oh and LFC suffering further embarrassment on Sunday, even if it is against the red Mancs.
