Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

12 Aug 2016 20:45:09
We've left transfers late again. I'm worried for tomorrow. For me a draw would be a good result.

Hopefully we can get a few more names over the lines in the next week.

Still can't wait to get the season going again. As Koeman said it will take time. I think by after the Jan transfer window we'll be going in the right direction. COYB!

By then it'll be too late. We'll already be nailed on for another midtable finish. There's so many teams overtaken us these past few seasons, I. e, spurs, west ham, stoke. I just hope Martinez did do a terrible job because on paper in my biased view we have a great team that just needs tweaking. It's common knowledge that Martinez lost the dressing room so let's all hope Koeman lives up to his reputation as a good coach. Koeman you blues!

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - it will take time for ronnie to get the team to his liking TT, it may take a season or 2 for things to come to fruition mate, i think the team needs a bit more than a tweak though and im happy that he is not jumping in feet first and just buying for buyings sake..slowly slowly catchee monkey as they say..

12 Aug 2016 21:11:00
Stat for you here Aches, Everton have drew their last 3 opening games 2-2 and Ross Barkley has scored 3 of the 6 goals we have scored on the opening day. Barkley anytime and 2-2 bet tomorrow me thinks šŸ‘ oh and only west ham have lost more opening day games than Spurs, so they are not the best of starters.

13 Aug 2016 00:12:53
Well said 025,we will get there with Koeman and Walsh but they have a big mess to sort out, are squad is second rate at present thanks to the idiot Martinez.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - a mess might be going a bit far milomj but we certainly need a good overhaul mate, between them i think moshiri and koeman are the guys to make us a force again but they need time..

13 Aug 2016 12:36:47
I think RK is just as frustrated as the fans with the signings or lack off, it is going to take time.

12 Aug 2016 19:54:38
This might sound a bit nitpicky (and I briefly touched on it in a previous post) but I just watched the Koeman press conference and he said that he knew that Stones was always going to leave, which begs the question of why did he feature so heavily in our pre season?

He played in 5 of the 6, starting 3 of them. If Koeman knew he would leave, why didn't he give more minutes to players like Holgate, Pennington, Galloway or even Kenny? Or to players needing to find some fitness like Jags?

Not a huge issue, I would have just liked to have seen a bit more play time for the younger players and to have known who will be the pairing this against Spurs.

Spot on point. Kept him fit for city!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 22:03:18
Probably becuse he was hoping to hang on to Stones and if he dropped him, Man City would immediately know that he was no longer in his plans. and could therefore make a derisory offer for him. By playing the game of sying "we are not selling for less that 50 mill" and actually looking like you mean it, you then do get somewhere ner that figure. If you drop him and look like you are ready to sell, you get other teams offering less.

Agree5 Disagree1

12 Aug 2016 22:22:09
Think it was more if he froze him out everyone would know he was going and the price would drop as we'd decided he was leaving.
By keeping him in it said to city were quite prepared to keep him, leading to the high price.

So its happened yet again no big name signings witsel mata indis martin yarmlalenko draxler hart bony bolasie salmi i don't see any of theese wearing everton blue only williams stands out good signing shame none of the above would join us what team that would have been coyb ed002 is there anything on the horizon to put a smile on our faces and i agree playin 3 at the back and i hope baines and coleman do what they are good at flying down the wings and puttin in good crosses come rk let's get the players in we need we have to move forward if we play with what we have then god only knows what going to happen don't want to fight to stay in the prem once a blue always a blue.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Many of the EPL sides have yet to finish their transfer business for the summer - Everton are one of them. Bolasie can be done. A centre back remains a possibility - Abdennour is an option but I would urge the club to think carefully. And, if possible, the club will look to add a midfield player.}

12 Aug 2016 20:12:58
If they haven't had enough time to think by now then we're surely doomed!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 20:58:31
What is the issue with Abdennour that we should be careful with then ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - LOss of form - their keenness to sell.}

12 Aug 2016 21:44:23
Did think about the willingness to sell considering they are likely to sell Mustafi too.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 23:43:12
ed 02 apart from kone and abdennour have you heard of any intrest in any other cb and if so who would you thing would be good fit.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - All of this has been covered before of course, so you can search. Putting aside Koulibaly, Bjorn Engels of Brugge was certainly of interest and Sporting Gijon's Bernardo Espinosa was watched by Everton pre RK but went to Middlebrough. Interest in Milan's Christian Zapata came and went. Matty Foulds from Bury was available and joined in January (but everyone seems to ignore that) - but he is seen as a long term solution. Rob Holding was of interest but was always likely to head to Arsenal. There are always players the club keep a long term eye on and PSG's Presnel Kimpembe. N'Koulou was never going to be an option according to one of my wives. To me best fit might be Aleksandar Dragovic who has been considered a Stones replacement in the past.}

13 Aug 2016 09:08:18
I forgot about dragovic he might be good fit thanks for information ed 02.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Another who might work and is available for a loan is Matt Miazga of Chelsea. Young and lacking in experience - but technically very good and well though of.}

12 Aug 2016 19:01:38
With doubts over Rom and Gerry the only alternative according to RK, why haven't we setted the 2 players were after, Bolasie and Slimani? Both are available at Ā£25m which is still below what were asking for Rom at Ā£75m. Seems a no brainer to me, Bolasie is agreed and Slimani a 30 goalscorer and matchwinner last Season. Get it done EFC before they're gone and we've lost our first 3 games of the Season ( bit dramatic i know but. )

Believable3 Unbelievable3

12 Aug 2016 19:20:53
Think we should get Slimani in as soon as poss, still not 100% convinced about Bolasie.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 19:50:47
Bolasie, a great player, 1 in 4 1 in 5 games, but inbeteen, don't make much of a contribution to the team.

12 Aug 2016 18:40:33
Reckon with the players available tomorrow my line up would be 3 centre backs, Jags, Mori and Holgate, Baines and Lennon as wing backs. Midfield 3 of Gueye, Barkley and Barry. With Delboy and Mirallas up top. Stekelenburg in goal. Thoughts people?

Sounds good to me, Holgate covering RB when Coleman goes forward and Barry dropping in to cover Baines.

Coleman doubtful mate that's why I have Lennon in at RWB.

Included Barry over Jimmy Mac as he is more tactically aware of his position and as you said fills in when fullbacks go forward.

12 Aug 2016 18:25:50
Don't get me wrong I'm delighted with the appointment of Koeman, and it's refreshing to have honestly after RM, but it's not difficult to pick up on quite a lot of negativity in his early press conferences.
I think he's desperate to add more to the squad and get his new training embedded as well as booting the fitness levels.
I was fairly confident Rom would be staying but I think RKs comments yesterday would suggest it's going to be difficult to keep him.
I think Koeman, his team and Walsh will bring massive improvements but I really hope we'll all be patient because without doubt it is going to take quite some time.
Should be a great atmosphere tomorrow (the best for quite some time I think) and it'll be great to get behind RK and the boys for the new season. COYB
On a separate note, has anyone noticed how much RK says 'OK' could be the new 'phenomenal' - at least it's more realistic!

As much as i would like to have kone i think he is using us to get a better deal and i think we are already looking at other targets now yes i no he has asked leave but just to get a better deal for himself he will be in no rush to move again.

I find it interesting to hear Moyes puzzled by why Kone was in Liverpool last week, surely as has been said a lot going on behind the scenes that we are not party too . Moyes doesn't want to upset the Sunderland fans .

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 22:25:15
I agree Konehead that's how it looks to me very frustrating with sky saying we have agreed fees for him and Bolasie yet nothing seems to be happening this is where the club should come out and say something as either we have not bid or we have and we are being messed around either way it's pathetic how it seems to take us a age to complete transfers compared to other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 13:32:15
So lamine kone to be offered a new contract by sunderland in September according to moyes, conveniently after the transfer window closed. I was led to believe sunderland had accepted our Ā£18m bid. Can anyone she'd any light on what the hold up is? Every signing seems to be unusual at the moment. I'm guessing the hold up with bolasie is palace probably want a replacement first and that's why they won't sanction the medical yet even though they've apparently accepted the bid but this kone deal seems odd as they signed their cover yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me if he was waiting for Chelsea to come in for him. We'll end up having to go for our 3rd or 4th choice signings on deadline day at this rate.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

12 Aug 2016 14:06:37
Telling Kone he'll get a contract on 1st September is classic Moyes. We all know what he's like. Clearly much more to this story than Kone holding Sunderland to ransom for a better deal.

He'll make anyone interested in his players pay well over the odds, and ensure the player leaves with reputation in shreds, labelled a 'moneygrabber' or a traitor by forcing a move.

12 Aug 2016 15:42:25
As much as I appreciated Moyes I have to fully agree with you Stevo.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 17:31:08
Remember him telling the press when we jibbed him off over Baines that if he'd have been Everton manager he would have done what was best for the player and not stood in their way. He's just a massive hypocrite.

12 Aug 2016 18:36:47
Will Moyes play him or be haunted by Lescott haha.

12 Aug 2016 18:56:00

Abdennour.

I would love to see a signing today wether it's before noon or not. We may only be at 70% fitness but we've known about our fixtures for weeks so we should be tactically prepared for spurs regardless of anyone coming through the door today or not. But what a boost for everybody and if the players position comes under threat you may get some extra effort from the players anyway. Coyb.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

12 Aug 2016 13:03:20
So far the players we have signed or going to sign are from clubs that finished lower than or around the same level as us so who's to say there only 70% fit as well.

12 Aug 2016 08:11:34
2 days to go and RK says the squad are only 70% fit good job we've only got spurs.

RK is building a new team. By mid season, Everton will be unrecognizable from last year's team.

Bigger. Tougher. Nastier perhaps. The opponent may prevail, but they will know they went 90 minutes toe to toe with Everton.

Black and blue, the new team colors.

I like the thought of it.

Looking forward and mid season totally different Everton.

Not so keen on this guy, yes he is a good player but he only joined Sunderland in January, and after a few good months wants a new contract and more money.
So we buy him he plays well and holds us to ransom at the end of the season, do we want that in our club? I have my doubts about his character.

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Aug 2016 12:31:09
I don't like the way he's behaved but if Sunderland promised him a new contract and then shelved it, it's a problem of their own making.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 15:10:57
The contract was because they stayed up. I'm guessing it's more money for him to risk having another season.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 00:57:02
Can anybody who genuinely knows actually tell me if they think Lamine Kone would be a decent signing?

I won't dismiss him until I see him play for us, but to me it seems to me like all he's done is play for a terrible team, score twice against us and then jump ship 6 months later for 4 times more than they paid.

I didn't watch too many Sunderland games, so them avoiding relegation may have been largely his doing, so if it was, please let me know, but don't just be blindly trusting in the scouting system if you don't actually know, please.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Aug 2016 01:08:33
Kone would be a beast of player. Watched him a few times last season. He has always said he wanted to stay but has not been offered the new contract he was promised if they stayed up. Hence what is happening now. He was bought for 6M and our buying price @18M has nothing to do with him 'jumping ship'.

My brother is a Sunderland fan an we've had many a conversation about this in the last few days, he says he's an absolute beast of a player, and he knows his stuff so I trust him. A lot of Sunderland fans are going into meltdown which shows how well he's thought of up there. I'll be very happy with the signing.
