How can you give the England captaincy to a player who should not be on the pitch/ squad (delete at will) ? What does Sturridge show in training that he never does on the pitch to get in ahead of Radford/ Vardy? On that performance we have got worse since Euros.

We have. Lack of decent English players is apparent.

Because he is one of the best English defenders. And young. Name any younger better ones if you disagree. oh the rules state squads have to have English players within.

Degsy I agree. He's young and will turn into a top player. Doing pretty good with City so far this year imho.

Is he really that bad? We are low on attacking options and after reading what he says, he sounds like he is chomping at the bit to prove he can do it at this level.

He's really bad. Agree that he is being treated really harshly though.

The guy had the chance to go to four different leagues. Its his choice after being told he should go.

There's something not right about this lad and he isn't the little heart broken kid he's making out.

He still gets paid doesn't he. He has had chance to move on, so it's solely down to him.

I thinks it's a disgrace to be honest hardly the poeples club doing that to someone who actually hasn't done nothing wrong, questions have to be asked over his signings but similar to ya ya and Bastian it's so degrading and humiliating and not his fault at all.

He has question marks over him Mike. The guy was arrested in May and the club released a statement condemning abuse. This may have more to do with his current situation than anything else.

It doesn't feel like the same situation as the players you mentioned.

Maybe but Gibson hit somebody drink driving and plays 5 games a season and gets a 2 year contract, enner had police chasing him round a pitch last week, seems a little harsh to me, obviously we don't know thewhole truth but there's bigger idiots getting away with a lot more in football I suppose the better the player the better the treatment.

Just a thought lads, now Rooney's no longer first choice for man u couldn't we swoop and get him on the cheap or on loan initially? Personally I think it would re-kick start his career? What are your opinions?

Personally I think yes he isn't the player he was but I think it would give him a lift to be back with us and it's better than the options we have and could take some of the pressure from Ross.
