Ed where has all this stick for Barkley came from. Alright he ain't having stand out games at Sheff wed but lets remember he's what 18 now and he has missed out on almost 2 years of footy with that triple leg break For any player that's a long time out but for a 15 year old that's a lot of development he missed out on so give the kid a break lads. We will see the very best of Barkley in a couple of years the kid is class simple!! IMWT COYB !! LIAM... {Ed025's Note - im with you liam..i think he will come good mate..

Young Ross will be a very good player in the future, he is only 18 and has lots of time yet, remember the likes of Beckham went and had loan spell at preston and he wasnt to bad was he, look at are very own leon who went to derby he turned oud a good player to, lets give the kid a couple of years and dont forget some of these young lads playing in the prem now havent had the serious injury Ross has had. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the boy a regular go in the first team and he will prove to be class. Getting into this team will be tough for him but I'm sure he will get his chance and take it.

Instead of bringing in an old has been like Hitzlsperger, why doesn't Moyes just recall Barkley from his loan? Is there no recall option? It would save paying wages to a rubbish player who will add nothing to the squad.

Mike {Ed025's Note - at the moment mike...neither would ross..

Agree0 Disagree0

Hitzlperger has a first class pedigree playing regularly for Germany.
He is only 30 which is not old in current football terms and should not be written off so easily.
If he can prove his fitness he will prove a very useful addition to a squad short on quality in midfield.
I prefer to read Alan Stubb's favorable first hand impressions of Thomas during his trial so far.

Looking forward to the derby i just dont want us to win i want us to humiliate Liverpool sick and tired of the RS in work they still give us no credit.Im sick and tired of them banging on about there history do they not get it thats exactly what they are history.I just hope we dont choke against them this is the worst LFC team in years;and the best Everton team in years i really want to give them a good whooping and wipe that smile of there silly faces .I just hope we get no stupid injuries on this international break .....going to put 20 on us to beat them by 3 or more there is no reason why we cant .Stef the blue ps sorry for the rant lads {Ed025's Note - that would be great stef...but sometimes it does not work out that way mate....give me a flukey one nil win, and its handstands time...they have got the indian sign on us, so any positive result would be a step in the right direction..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

We havent got the indian sign on u ed025, we are just better {Ed025's Note - tell it to the judge mate...we have 14 points..you have 6...so how does that make you better than us?....hmmm

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you see what i mean Ed ....no credit none at all .....as you put it were 8 points ahead of them and they still think there better .Stef the blue {Ed025's Note - theres none so blind, as those who cannot see stef..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are RS coming on our page? They call us bitter and obsessed with their rubbish shower of a club and they're the ones posting on this page. :D makes me laugh how deluded they are. I can honestly say I've never looked at the RS's page cause I'm not arsed about that pitiful excuse of a club and more bothered about what's going on with my own team.

Ed025, i was the post u replied to above stef, we are only 7 league games in mate, a lot of the season left to play, I hope u have a good season, moyes to be fair to him deserves a crack at the champions league with Everton, my opinion is liverpool are better now maybe that's just me clinging on to yester year but to be honest mate that's me trying to stay optimistic, Stef I give u credit mate, it's refreshing to see u boys up there and hopefully if liverpool don't get top 4(got to say that really), I would love to see u boys get it, I genuinely do, sorry didn't mean any insult {Ed025's Note - thanks for the reply mate...i think it is with red tinted glasses, that you see the reds being better than us..at the moment, we are by far superior, you have some good youngsters in your side, but with a hard slog of a winter to come, you may find them fading a bit. but its nice to hear from a neighbour who is not abusive or condescending, so good luck to you mate, and thanks for posting..

Can I just say I thought Brendon Rodgers was alright before he went to Anfield, but now the more I see the worse he's getting. His amateur psychology (3 envelops) is embarrassing. The Kopites I speak to are gutted, long may it continue!

Also am I the only blue who thinks Ross Barclay sadly may be overrated?

Nostrawigus {Ed025's Note - hes good nostra...but he is playing with very poor players mate...he may as well have gone to liverpool..

Believable7 Unbelievable4

I've been silent on this issue of Barkley cos I knew I'd get stick for it but for me he's vastly over-rated. Look at Sterling at the RS younger but if he's good enough he's old enough. Barkley is just a big lad with moderate talent and he'll never be a big player. Ever

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes a good player, needs games though and it may be a couple of years before he is ready for everton, alot of his game is good, passing, takes players on etc , people expect too much to soon school of science

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god someone has bought that up! Barkley is not as good as people make out. What happened with Barkley was he came about last season when we were in a bad place, lost players, no money, bought no-one, playing awful football, then a breath of fresh air came along and showed that youthful hunger and a decent pass and we got carried away! There was even talk of Chelsea bidding 30 million for him!!!!
He's a decent player but he is never going to be a top player, look at Oxlaide-Chamberlain (same age as Barkley) and Sterling(younger than Barkley) and the boy at Tottenham I think his surname is Townsend(same age as Barkley) they are all better and have played a lot of 1st team football, well Sterling has just started but he is playing right now.
If Barkley was "the next big thing" Moyes would find a place for him in the team.
Personally I saw him 7 times last season for the reserves and thought he was average, the lad in midfield with him was better.... John Lundstrum. We saw him in the 1st team 4 or 5 times and apart from his debut, again he looked average.
Feel awful for slating a young lad, but I just think everyone got carried away and when it comes down to it he is just another young player on our books that might be a good player or end up in the lower league. Same as every other young player at the club. He is not special. Sorry lads. {Ed025's Note - thats a good post mate...cant say i totally agree with it all, but its fair..

Agree0 Disagree0

My word, some people agreeing with me. I must be losing my touch!

Nostrawigus {Ed025's Note - its only temporary nostra...normal service will be resumed when you start talking tripe again mate..:)

Agree0 Disagree0

We just need to remember that we have very high expectations of Ross Barkley. While he may not be a star straight away I'm convinced he will be a key player for Everton within the next 6 months. I saw Graeme Sharp and Trevor Stephen make their Everton debuts and they were both awful, but they came good eventually.

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw both debuts and both looked class so does barkley go to specsavers

Just wow - I get the impression that you guys hate us more than you love Everton! I don't get it, you talk more about us than your own team! I don't understand why you guys are so bitter! I would love it if both our great teams were heading up the table and battling the rest of Europe, and I'm really pleased you guys have had such a great start and I hope it continues for you. There should be more success for honest hard working teams like Everton rather than Fergies Association, Chelsea and City. Always a supporter of LFC first and foremost, and a big fan of the friendly banter, but seriously, this is only opening you guys up to more ribbing.

Agree0 Disagree0

If I did that for us, I'd put Coleman, Neville and Heitinga.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

So why are you reading our page?

Agree0 Disagree0

Oye RS do you not read the rest of the posts on this site ? And what you doing on it anyway if you're not obsessed? You'd see we are not fixated on your poor excuse for a club but are more concerned with our flying start and a certain Marouane Fellaini

He's a bit weird Brenda isn't he!? Heard of a few Liverpool fans who have been watching this "being liverpool" programme that everytime he speaks they cringe!
I must say everytime I see a interview with him I am so confused afterwards, he doesn't make any sense at all!
