Okay, a point is a point and we defended well against a really good group of players, but, as far as us being a threat we didn't offer very much today imo. 7.5 / 10.

Frustrating rnt they, its like if you dare go near Hazard the crowd scream for a foul, what a player that lad is though. An that Ruddiger is it?, what a wet wipe he is, going down for a headbut of Bernard, if i got put on my arse by someone half my size for a headbut in the stomach my father would disown me.

i agree with Guernsey there. thought the ref was poor throughout and there were one or two Chelsea players lucky not to be booked for simulation. rudiger should be laughed at. rolling around the floor after the smallest player on the pitch put it up to him. a joke.

Chelsea are a top side with real quality. Alonso was outstanding to be expected. But that just shows how good we were. They’re tactics started to get a bit dark arts towards the finish due to our excellent attempts to frustrate. Ref was poor yes, but we were great at the back despite that. A little more quality up top we can nick three points in games like that.

Silva now has two weeks to decide if he should stick with Mina or go back to Zouma. My opinion is stick with Mina as he’s here permanently whereas Zouma will most probably return to Chelski.

Only Everton has players banned GB mate, you should know that. Some have a go at us Evertonians for playing the victim card. That being the case, how come with this rule of review of simulation able to attract a ban, that Niasse is the only player to have undergone such. It stinks.

What a hard earned point! Defensively solid, keane an mina superb for me today. Gomes worked hard an put himself about also. My criticism is bernard an walcot have been wasteful in possession for few games now, i beleive lookman deserves a start, just to see if he can be as effective from the start. And Richiarlison, when he's up against tough centre halfs i would like to see more fight an take the game to them instead of always looking for the foul.
Please don't all say this is a negative post, i'm delighted with the point and our progress, but these little things could make us even better. The difference in this silva side to the side of last season is night an day . i'm back to looking forward to our games and expecting a result against whoever we play. Happy days.

Said this morning didn't think we would get anything out of the game and that we would see if Mina could cut it. Well the lad did agree on Walcot in particular, needs to up his defensive and tracking back. Lookman should replace him, put Ricci back on wing and bring tosun back as a Rondon like front man. Said I would eat my words if we got anything out of the game. Glad to put that right pass the HP.

I agree about Tosun, i think he deserves a run in the team the way we are currently playing, Richiarlison i'd not a striker, he would still get the goals from being on the wing the way he plays.

Why change something that ain't broken, were in a run of results that would have us challenging the top 6. Tosun isn't going to come in and score 2 or 3 a game. Stick with it lads, we will only improve with time.

Looks like a few players come out of that game injured, sig s Richiarlson, so maybe a few forced changes will happen either way, if so its down to them lads to take there chance. Tell you what though boys, its good tha we have some genuine quality to come in if needed. We can all remember some of the squads of old, i'm not going to name and disrespect previous players, but this is our best squad for a long time.

I see Gomez is still firmly in Barcalona's plans. Not surprisinf from what I have seen of him so far. We will need a replacement for him if they won't sell. He has improved Gana Gueye so much playing along side hi. Both get forwards and back with no effort.

{Ed025's Note - it will be a huge loss when he goes degsy, excellent player who will be sorely missed and very hard to replace mate..

It may be that Barcelona are just protecting the transfer value here Degs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are saying this to build a decent price for him.

I just hope it’s nothing out of our reach because he is a player that’s for sure.

I think Barcelona actually genuinely rate Gomes Toffee ace and to be honest most of us can see why. As you say hope he is in reach (and the persuasive powers of Brands, with his agent connections) . If Gomes and Zouma are no goes (think Zouma is the most realistic) and wit Mr Moshri indicating there will be no January signings, we are in for a busy summer.
