As much as i think Rooney was a great player, signing for us for a season was his swansong to us blues, wish him well, but we need to move ON, i'm just a mad blue fan, and don't know where we are going at the moment, manager, players in or out, wish the club well in the close season COYB.

With Swansea almost certainly relegated an approach for Alfie Mawson would be a smart move.

I’d have Mawson always looked solid and could be awesome with better players around him hopefully we get some of those for our defence.

Good shout. Reminds me of a no nonsense old English centre half. Lascalles from Newcastle would beef our defence up to. I think our centre halves are too weak.

A couple of thumbs down? Clearly haven't a clue about good players.
If have him in a second but as with the Newcastle lad, it's not going to be an easy deal. Id assume lots will be interested.

I didn’t “thumbs down”, but Mawson plays for a team that’s almost certainly relegated, so maybe some people have concerns about that.

According to some of the rags today the players are beginning to talk about Silva as our new manager in the dressing room, if true this should surely hasten Sams exit, hope so.

Don't tease GB. We are all a bit fragile after a long hard season :-)

Well if the S*N says it GB it must be true. Where would we be without the superb journalism of the S*N. I will get my "In Silva We Trust" banner made up lol.

Said over a month ago will not get Fonsesca, add to that Silva has turned a couple of jobs down, no one will be more surprised than me if we do not get Silva.

I had a dream last night it was three years time a sunny August Saturday 3pm match. First game of the season I was walking to our new ground at BM dock with my kids. All of us with our new Everton tops on the excitement of all the blues around us as we approach the ground, everything is new and immaculate we take our new seats for the season and look pitch side at the lush new Wembley like pitch. Minutes before the teams come out and look at my kids faces with a beaming smile.

Zcars plays and we all stand up to give our players the greatest welcome as they come on to the pitch we get our first glimpse of our new summer signings. Then Sam Allardyce comes out the tunnel to take his seat in the home dugout I woke up in a cold sweat and haven’t had a nightmare like this before makes Fred Kruger like a Adam Sandler movie.

Very tongue in cheek so don't shoot me but what about Ian Holloway for manager.
We may not succeed or even compete but at least press conferences would be entertaining.

well wayne to leave the blues again, would have liked to have seen him stick about for the next year and eventually stick with us in the coaching route. sad to see him go but if he's been told that he may not see much more on the pitch and he hasn't got that fight to get back in there and prove everyone wrong wish him well!

Wish him well. My guess is he realised himself that he is not the player he used to be coupled with probably knowing big Sam will still be here next season. Rather than not bothering to prove people wrong. Still good to see him back in blue for the season. His goal return for the season was not bad. Don't see many others doing better at the club.

Yes good luck to him, but his Wife will not like the USA, there must be something wrong at the club, needs sorting out before Pickford on his way.
