Just been on Government Web site and signed the Trump petition.
Considering setting up new petition.

We petition the British Government to purchase a new stadium for Everton FC.

Not much chance of getting that one going so my second proposed petition states,

We petition the British Government to buy a new tuepee on Amazon for the right wing pr#ck.

Hopeful on that one.

I like The Mirror now, every time they say a player is leaving he signs a new contract.

{Ed025's Note - lets hope they say howard is signing a new contract then mate..

Just to follow up from swan's post below. One, probably for the older generation. Need best and worst squads from the 80's team up to present. Be interesting how many of current squad would get in ahead of 80's.

Think my best would be:

Southall

Stevens
Stones
Gough
Baines

Deulofeu (potentially)
Cahill
Reid
Sheedy

Lukaku
Big dunc

Subs:
Martyn
Coleman
Jags
Gravesen
Yakubu

(that was very hard, honorable mention to Joe parkinson, Gary speed, the yak, David wier, Beardsley, inchy, saha, Kevin Campbell . And loads of others)

Worst:

Thomas Myhre

Marc Hottiger
Per Kroldrup
Li wiefeng
John Bailey (if only for the wig)

Robert Warzycha
Alex Nyarko
Gazza
Preki

Mikael Madar
Brett angell

Subs:

Paul Gerrard (just for THAT goal)
Lars jacobson
Allesandro pistone
Neil Pointon
Tomasz radsinski

Right that hurt my brain. Hahaha. Suppose there is loads I've forgotten who played for us or forgotten how good they were.

Feel free to add your own squads and it really is tough.

What a great team Geoff, that defense would be unbelievable, Gough was an amazing Pro and that showed by how good he was at a later age.

How about Ball, Harvey and Kendall himself, always a mystery that Kendall never made the England side. That was the best midfield trio in the UK and close run in Europe.

I agree duncansmum but was talking from 80's to present. Only because I'm only 36 so didn't see much before.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 11:02:59
Also big dunc and lukaku up top. Defenders would run away crying. Hahaha.

10 Dec 2015 11:30:10
Can't believe that Carl Tiler, Tony Thomas, Mitch Ward and Claus Thomsen didn't make your worst team. God we had some awful players in the 90's.

10 Dec 2015 12:21:29
Trevor Steven! Please say you'd have him in there. The guy was amazing.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 15:12:02
Blue Tommy - I knew I'd miss a load. They really were bad players. Hahaha

Toffee ace - I was struggling between Deulofeu, Trevor Steven (hero of mine) and kanchelskis (some hate him but I quite liked him) but I think the potential of Deulofeu in the squad we have now just got him in.

10 Dec 2015 15:36:58
I may just have preferred ratcliffe to Gough, but good team.

Felt quite ill when being reminded of some of the worst eleven and I can go back as far as Bernie Wright.

Good shout wakka. Just wish he'd stayed more than one season, then he'd have been a true blue hero and in everyone's team. Think he be on bench behind dunc and rom (current form) for me.

12 Dec 2015 05:05:31
Big Dunc in front of Sharp, will have a tipple of what youve had, injury prone and only turning up for the big games, give me Sharp any day of the week.

No Mike Milligan or Stuart Barlow or Neil Mcdonald in worst team either, .

As for Bob the pole, intresting how great he was, until he learned the language and was told what to do by our coaches.

Swan agree with most but would change McCarthy for Carsley. Was Brett Angell not long before Moyes reign.

Swan agree with most of that except I would have McCarthy instead of Carsley. Was Brett angel not before Moyes reign.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 08:18:29
I would have to have Gravesen in there somewhere, he was a boss in the midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 09:06:31
Swan, just a couple points. Surely there been worse players than Phil neville. Not sure moyes had pleasure of working with angell but did he not have Kevin Campbell? I suppose the most important thing is how many of the current squad get in the best squad, not just from moyes era but since howards 80's team. We really do have a potentially great squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 11:32:59
Kevin Campbell was boss though. You could include Beattie instead of Angell instead. He kept saying he was going to go on a scoring run and never did. The only thing I really remember him doing is headbutting a Chelsea player and getting sent off.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 11:38:04
Also, your best team is pretty spot on. But for the worst what about Simon Davies, Magaye Gueye, Royston Drenthe, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Espen Baardsen?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 11:49:16
Wasn't sure on Angell, I know he was here during the Prem era, could swap him out for Gueye.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 11:50:44
On Neville, I know he could point and shout with the best of then but as a Footballer, I don't think he had anything going for him.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Dec 2015 13:07:07
Anyone who puts Tim Howard in their worst ever team off the back of a bad games at the end of their career just can't be taken seriously! Seriously Robles in ahead of him lol

Also Carsley in ahead of Gravesen, McCarthy, Barry, Arteta.

You should take up comedy Swan!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 13:25:18
Many bad games throughout his career, he isn't declining, he's always been like this. Knew you would defend him mate. I hope you don't think he was better than Nigel Martyn, then you would be a comedian.

Arteta was overrated, poor set piece delivery (he'd fit right in now) , injury prone and about as bang average a midelder as you can get. Carsley was so underrated, did Barry and McCarthy's job by himself.

Would never have McCarthy, not good enough on the ball to even be considered.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 13:49:38
Certainly not as good as Martyn but worth a place on the bench. You have included a guy in your team who has played about 10 games ahead of him and I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous!

Carsley was a terrible footballer so your point about McCarthy doesn't hold up I'm afraid. He did a good job for us and I'm not trying to knock him but we have had many better players.

As for Arteta if he hadn't left for Arsenal you would not think that. It's supposed to be a best ever team not a best ever (not including the ones that pissed me off) team! :)

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 15:05:04
Think everybody would agree with your back 5. But goes down hill from there. McCarthy is a better footballer than Carsley ever was. I love the guy but was terrible on the ball. But anyway, you are missing gravesen,McCarthy, arteta (before his injury was the best player In our squad for a few years) and Rooney. On the worst team, Angel was never a moyes player and was actually way before his time, Howard over Richard Wright? Give your head a wobble.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Dec 2015 16:02:01
I already explained I wasn't sure on Angell, Arteta was never our best player, nor did Rooney ever do anything for us. Like Barnsley putting John Stones as their greatest ever Centre Back. Never liked Arteta even before he left, Honest Blue, Carsley could actually read the game, McCarthy couldn't, my point on McCarthy is he doesn't make up for his lack of a footballing brain with good ability, Carsley had one of them. Howard could be swapped out I suppose, but he should definitely be on the bench. Baardsen only made one appearance, terrible but Howard at least played a lot of games. Kroldrup is in there because I literally couldn't think of anyone else even though he just played one game.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 17:14:32
That's fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinions and all that. People see the same player in different lights, I personally though arteta was one of the best midfielders in the prem for a couple of seasons. Rooney wasn't here long but have never and probably never will be as excited about a player in the rest of my time as a Everton fan. Don't forget he was the twice the player at 17 years old than he has been in the last 10 years at United.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 17:48:45
So Rooney can't go in because he didn't play enough games but Robles can!?

Bit strange that considering he played more games than Robles has.

As for Arteta to each his own but I got to agree with Honest blue. After Cahill he was easily our best player for at least 2-3 seasons!

Also to suggest that Howard is worse than the likes of Wright, Myhre, Gerard, Mucha etc. simply means your team can't be taken seriously! Sorry.

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Dec 2015 05:12:56
One of the best midfielders we have had over the last 20 odd years and not a mention in anyones squad, surely Joe Parkinson has to have a mention even if he only makes the subs bench, damn shame his career ended too soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 03:32:41
If I was asked to sum up our season so far in one sentence it would go something like this "We have some great players and are playing some excellent football and are hard to beat but we need to convert some of the draws into wins"
Most of you will remember Dave Hickson but only a few of the old farts will remember his partner John Willie Parker. In the 1954 season Parker scored 31 goals and Hickson 25. Parker seemed to be in the right spot to score the simple tap-ins a bit like Barkley did against Sunderland. Against Palace Barkley played too far back to be effective in this role. To make the next step up I believe we need a modern version of John Willie Parker. A fast skillful forward who can play along side Lukaku and score from close range, Any ideas?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2015 06:26:30
Absolutely agree 100%. We certainly create enough opertunities for that type of striker. My day they were called "goal hangers". Used to do your head in because they seemed to do sod all in a game, but where always there to tap them in.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 07:09:35
Agree with most but for one crucial bit, we are not difficult to beat. Barker is getting there and he does play to far back.

Just watched the fill Creed, massive plug for Everton, could this be the platform for which we will get noticed, especially with Tony playing Ricky Conlan and the actual fight filmed at Goodison. This film gets released here in Jan . I got a feeling the investment will come .
