Evans and Lennon. If that's seriously who we ate going to sign I would say don't bother signing anyone! Evans not good enough and Lennon headless chicken. Wtf is going on! Why do we end up with everyone's rejects? Something defintely not right somewhere! We need some quality and quick!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

10 Aug 2015 22:30:50
Agree about Evans, but Lennon did well for us last season I would like to see him back, he's quick and direct which is exactly what we need Could allow mirallas to slot into the no.10 position!

Agree3 Disagree1

11 Aug 2015 02:46:08
While I don't think Lennon is enough and is barely a start, it would be good to have him back. He makes the whole team work harder, ups the intensity and gets the beat out of Coleman.

If Dave from the Blue Union is the best they've got nnnnno wwwwwonder you can't take them serious
We need change but we need charismatic people to help force this not people who spout the same old crap with no real ideas on how to do it

Carragher giving RM coaching tips on mnf earlier made distinctly difficult and very discomforting viewing for me. Hope other posters saw it.

Well carragher was right in the defence apart

11 Aug 2015 02:13:04
I began agreeing with Carragher Lant. But roberto didn't like it one bit. He needs someone to challenge him, because he's such a stubborn man.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 19:25:07
Just one question ed. why is nobby martinez on MNF and somewhere trying to push through some deals.?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - he does not make any decisions eddy, its the board and other pen pushers who do most of that stuff mate..

10 Aug 2015 19:23:28
Anyone see the start of MnF? Martinez was on and they analysed the everton game in depth, Carragher (who I think is brilliant) was questioning his tactics. Roberto dodged everything ''We want to find passing channels and break teams down from open play'' was his go to answer every time.

Carragher then asked him about the effect of 2 strikers and increasing passing distance. Martinez notably started getting frustrated.

Thought it was very interesting. then obviously John Stones was analysed and I do get the feeling Martinez won't allow him to leave. Carragher gave his honest advice than stones should stay.

Also mentioned Ross Barkley, carra was at the game on the weekend and observed fans booing RB yet again. "those fan just simply need to shut up! He's a young local lad who wants to play for Everton'' and yet again, Carragher is spot on.

Hope some more pressure is put on Roberto during tonights show.

ed25. I know you are a big supporter of Kenwright's, but, would you not agree, that at the very least, he should come out and tell the supporters, just where we are, where were going, and how does he see us achiving his goals, or, how far along the road we are to a change in ownership.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im hearing that bill is not too well at the moment JCW, but someone at the club needs to mate your right..

It actually kills me when I see lfc ground being done and then spending big every year. Even when they had the other two Americans they spent. Then a takeover very quick and spend again and new stand. It's doing my head in. We're becoming a laughing stock. I can see bk trying to come up with some story to mask all this. Needs sorting

I know its tough PB mate, but something we have all grown up with, the more fans you have worldwide the more money you bring in, we are dwarves compared to them,

Liverpool 120 million
Everton 15 million

8 times more, they are figures from the web so estimated probably, we need to sign more Chinese players asp lol

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 22:25:52
Hasn't that got to do with are branding and marketing. We was huge like lfc so what went wrong. We're sponsored by Chinese lol so attack the market. Use are USA links and get in to there market

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 17:46:55
Seriously need to sign some players. Don't think we are too far away but to be honest but I think Martinez needs to change the way we play as it is not working!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Aug 2015 17:25:07
I know the fans campaign against our current board is gathering pace but my only concern is what is the solution? I mean there does not appear to be anybody willing to invest in our club and we can't replace BK with nobody.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Aug 2015 20:06:15
Bill isn't the problem. Most of the board are richer than him and call the shots. He has most of his personal wealth tied up in the club. It's the board who won't give us any investment.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 19:58:07
My mate in work was telling me that an American chat show host asked Robert Earl if he owned evertonfc to which he replied yes so now who do we blame for are demise Earl or the man who invited into our club knew right answers please

Rondon for 12 million to West bloody Brom. My word. Someone mentioned talent pool earlier, well Payet, Rondon and Shaquri for less than 30 million combined is our talent pool and the cream of that pool has just been scraped off by west ham, Stoke and west Brom.
I will hold my final verdict until the window shuts but I can't see the transfers we can do being that impressive

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Aug 2015 17:52:47
Payet and rondos prob improve us most but poeple shouldn't be surprised with the extra money power the smaller wage teams have with this new to rights deal in place

Another player missed, official shakalaka boom boom signd for stoke.

Odds on we will let Stones go and straight away bring Austin in for half that, disgraceful we cannot even compete with Stoke.

Is it me or what. This sudden love in for Shaw man, when in my eyes Yarmalenko is way and above his ability and attitude. If we sign the Shaq then we would just have a Kev mark two, plays when he wants. Yarmalenko ticks all the boxes for me, or am I missing something?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im with you woburn mate..

Name a player in our current squad better than Kev? He is our best player, a replica would have been marvelous

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 18:57:10
Kev is great on his day he just doesn't have too many of them unfortunately. A Kev clone is not what we need IMO we do need to strengthen though, the left is looking very dodgy at present.

I may get slated but if we lose shaqari (excuse spelling) to Stoke then that's me finished. I can't watch our beloved everton be slowly strangled out of exsitance. I will save my close to hundred pound fortnightly and the usual two tops I buy and will not bother. What's the point? I may only be one fan jut I know a few who have or are doing it as well. Besides it's not fair on the wife, she gets the brunt of mood swings thanks to robbie.
I will look for the score on news night but laugh rather than cry about our results.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - dont give up on us just yet pauly, it does look like shaquiri is stoke bound but that could end up a good miss if reports about his attitude are right mate, personally im waiting till the window shuts before i say my piece..

10 Aug 2015 17:35:37

Exactly Pb, it's starting to get comical on this site with all the moaning about missing out on players to 'smaller' clubs. A lot of fans seem to want us to spend cash just for the sake of it!

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Aug 2015 18:37:05
To Pb78, I agree Everton have never stated they were in for him. However plenty of reputable sources have said we were. When was the last time everton actually said they were in for someone? Leroy Fer was it? Never actually signed.

We keep things quiet, martinez says in every interview he won't speak about other players. so obviously everton will never confirm are in for anyone.

10 Aug 2015 17:44:04
Ed025. We have had weeks to sign one quality player, who we can all look to for hope. Even in the dark days we always had big Duncan who would give us hope. Newcastle, palace, West ham, Stoke, Swansea etc have done this but like I said I will keep my money and will watch motd highlights.
I wonder if robbie and Co actually know how much resentment there is towards him and the board.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think they must do pauly, the club does monitor sites like this mate..

10 Aug 2015 15:07:51
What's happened to our club? Do we have to sell to buy? Pretty obvious that we do! For me the manager needs to go and the sooner the better. What is the point in making a bid for a player today. Why didn't he put in a bid when Stoke put their's in, about 6 weeks ago? I think players who are moving to other clubs watch the team's before they join them.Who would want to come to us after Saturdays performance. Ok the 2nd half was better. That was only when Kone came on.I know it's early days but i'm worried about our club at the moment.RM needs to change his tactics, and change them fast. What is the point making 400 more passes than Watford and creating less chances.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 Aug 2015 15:45:05
Bill has to realise now that Martinez is just not up to the job and worse than that he has made this Club beyond a laughing stock with Teams no longer bothered about coming to Goodison. Martinez is so predictable that I bet opposing Managers don't even bother giving Team talks when coming against us. Pundits are even saying we no longer have the ability to attain top 6 status with some even saying we would be lucky to make top 10.

RM praising Kone and his contribution today what worries me is he was a dead cert for replacement and now RM will adapt his smug I always had faith justification to a player that should be no more than third or fourth choice in our club!
Don't hold your breath and wait for a new striker lads!

10 Aug 2015 13:24:49
Are we having to player trade? We have no transfer budget at all? or £4.5M for Gerry, that was it? So that means we've been wanting to sell Stones all summer.

Chelsea just playing us offering derisory bids in the knowledge we're skint and need to sell before buying so are going to wait until the last minute before matching our valuation knowing our targets are being picked off.

Not a selling club, yeah right.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

10 Aug 2015 15:13:00
There is no evidence to suggest we are skint Mike and I don't think we were expecting any interest in Stones until after this season. As always, as a club we have kept our targets and our business behind the scenes, the press are the ones linking us with players and also selling our better players. Nothing to get worked up over

I think we just have to accept guys that we can no longer compete financially with any club above mid table status as we just simply don't have the dosh. as depressing as this is we have to get our heads out of the clouds & face facts - yes, we are a big club with a big past.but in financial terms we are no better newly promoted team from the championship therefore meaning the days of a top 6 finish have now gone! I say, bring back Moyes as under these lack of finances he is the only guy who could get the best out of the players for the littlest amount of money.on the other hand, . if we had financial investment then obviously Moyes would definitely not be the answer & someone like Klopp or Klinnsmann would be great, but I couldn't see the latter succeeding on no activity in the transfer market due to the lack of funds!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Aug 2015 13:42:01
I believe in the golden rule don't go back, Moyes did a great job for us and unearthed some great talent, Cahill, Coleman, Pienaar, Jags, Baines, that didn't cost much, but I don't think he can come back now.
The trouble is RM has signed some good players and broken the bank with Lukaku, the reality is he didn't look a 28m player this weekend, RM is not getting the best from the squad, and I don't believe the players have complete faith in the manager, which makes you ask the question do the board? and is that why they seem unwilling to splash the cash and we keep missing out on all these players, I think we will regret missing out on Payet!

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 14:16:44
And lescott and stones, tbf when have we ever competed financially with the top since early 90s at best, we play in a fossil of a stadium and that's the sticking point

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2015 14:38:19
As long as Supporters are not backing Bobby, its playing right in the hands of our board not to spend, how can we argue against the board not giving Bobby funds, if we are blaming Bobby.

We need to trust Bobby, give him the funds to buy instead of being also rans in the transfer window.

Again was he an actual target was only ever media talk never reported on sky, well I reckon Martinez has something up his sleeve Honda was definitely a name he wanted last time and only 12 months on he is on the radar again perfect no 10 role then Barkley can be deeper come on Martinez get these deals in, bet he is a great poker player gives nothing away apart from Points
He will surprise everyone 3 in only one will be who we knew about no one saw lukaku coming or besic not too mention Del Boy
Here is who I think we are interested in

Listening to Mark Hughes interview and bearing in mind Shaquiri was at the ground he didn't sound that confident that the deal to sign him was anywhere near done!
I think the war to sign Stones will hot up this week with manutd showing interest, the club has stated its not a selling club but inactivity in the market and a cautious approach to permanent signings does not exactly back that up, everyone has a price!
I would think Lennon will come back permanently, and Van Dijk could be a possible replacement for Stones but can't see him wanting to be third choice.

Does anyone know what will happen with Loic Remy? Seems to be down the pecking order behind Costa and Falcao at Chelsea. The reason I mention him is we could do a lot worse, proven in the Prem, bit injury prone but would be a good addition if we could get him imo.

No injury prone we have enough of them let's get Austin in now before this market gets out of hand cause it will once a big deal goes through it has knock on effect, Austin will score goals for us and snap up Honda as well could get him for bargain price considering his ability

Agree0 Disagree2

10 Aug 2015 12:50:13
You want Austin in but not Remy because he's injury prone? Austin has failed medicals in his recent past. He's a good player but he is also likely to collapse at any minute due to a shot knee.
